chapter 9: Rehearsal

"Guys, just, please focus," I said as I was stressing out in my room. I was on my comfy bed, with a notebook and my laptop on it. I was on a call with my group, which, didn't help me at all, till now. I was on the verge of breaking down, and, I was so stressed, which, made me feel like a big snowball of helplessness and physical/emotional pain about to stumble on me. I was talking with them, when, I couldn't cope with anything anymore. I excused myself, to go to the kitchen. I got out of my room, and, walked to the kitchen when I realized that lance was sitting there. He was staring at a jewel, and, it was an ordinary crystal. I didn't give that much attention to it, but, it caught my eye for a second. It had this blue-red tint swirling in it, that, made my eyes turn red. I could feel it, that, its energy dawn me to it. I shook my head for a second, and, turned to the coffee brewing machine when suddenly I felt his presence behind me. I got startled when he hugged me from the back. it was warm, as he wrapped his arms around my belly. It was as if I felt some kind of warm energy in my stomach, I felt, secure in some kind of way.

"I like you doll," he said. I was shocked. I didn't know what to answer when I turned to face him. He looked at me, and, softly touched my lip. I felt, the pendant around my neck, as I felt its energy swirling inside my body. I softly closed my eyes, then, I could see the energy inside my body, then when I opened my eyes, I saw him, smiling at me.

"Um, I, I have work to do" I brushed off the awkwardness that was about to happen between us, and, I took my mug. I walked into the empty hallway. The paintings that decorated the wall were the only thing that I felt weird about, but a single piece of statue at the end of the hallway caught my eye. It was placed above a high table, and, the statue was a greek goddess. Hairs braided on its shoulder, and a crown on her head. It looked like the goddess Artemis, which was one of my favorite goddesses. I went back to my room and started working. The next day I went to the university theater and started the rehearsal when I found out that my team knew every step I would take, and, I was the director.

"So, tech week is next week, and, we still have 6 days to be ready. I want good work from everyone guys, please" i said as I was looking at them, and, left the theater.
