Chapter 6: A truth untold

As I slowly woke up, my head was aching badly. My body was feeling numb, and, I had a hard time coping with my surrounding. I was looking around the room, which, remind me of the same room that I was in. The curtains were open, but, the windows were shut, and sealed. I didn't know what exactly happened, I couldn't remember, but, my abdomen was bandaged, as well as my wrist. I looked around and, realized that Lucas was asleep on a chair. His hand above mine. I rubbed his black charcoal hairs. There were curly and, soft, in some sort of way. As I was rubbing his hair, he turned his face and opened his eyes.

"I'm sorry if I disturbed you," I said. He sat on the chair and looked at me.

"I failed to protect you, princess," he said. He was sad and worried. I felt a crushing feeling in my heart as if someone was stomping on my chest.

"it's not your fault Lucas, you did whatever it takes, and, I'm grateful for it," I said. he looked at me, and, kissed my hand. I was sitting in bed. the warm blanket all over me. I was hungry, and, I didn't want to tell him when I heard someone knocking at the door.

"Sista, are you okay?" My best friend asked, bursting inside the room. She was exhausted, and she looked worried. Abigail came rushing to see if I was okay, that's true friendship (also my stomach hurts, help).

"A...Abi, are you okay?" I asked her, but it was too late, she already jumped to the bed and hugged me tightly.

"oh I was so freaking worried, what happened, did that vampire teacher do anything to you?" she asked me, hugging me tightly. I looked at her and patted her back when I sensed something.

"Abi, you know I don't like secrets, right?" I asked her with a naughty tone.

"y...yes," she said, helplessly.

"show me your shoulder," I asked her. she looked at me, weirdly.

"w..why so," she asked, making those cute little puppy eyes, Nah, I won't fall for that.

"She comes from the Bancroft family, they are vampire's/elementers," Lucas said. Abi looked at him, anger in her eyes. I looked at Abi, confused. For some moment, we stood there, in silence.

"Your family is the Morgante family, you guys were lost for decades. This castle is the Morgante family castle, and, I am Lucas De Bloodworth, she is Abigail Bancroft, and, you are Alexia Morgante. Our 3 families are the only 3 left in the whole us, there is also werewolves, and, witches/wizards. Those 3 categories are never in peace together, so, we should be careful." Lance explained. I was shocked. I looked at him, and tears rolled down my cheek.

"Can you leave me alone?" I asked, numb

"But, sista," Abi said

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE" I screamed. They both looked at me and left the room. As I sat there in silence, I could feel, my life turning into a lie. It was like a big ball of snow, stumbling from the mountain, turning into a giant one, and crushing all the village. As I clenched the pillow, I could feel my eyes, closing slowly as I slept again.
