Chapter 13: Demons in the forest

The next day, Lucas and I were packing our bags. I wore my hiking boots, black shirt, and black military pants and waited for him with my backpack in front of the door. My long hair was tied up into a high ponytail. I was scrolling through Instagram when I felt his presence. He was walking in the hallway wearing his gear and long boots. He had his backpack strapped to his chest, as he came to me, and put his arm on my shoulder.

"Are you ready doll?" he asked. I looked at him and smiled.

"Yeah, now lets go" I said as I took his hand off of my shoulder. We both walked out of the door. A car was parked in front of the door. It was a Jeep Wrangler, black. I looked at the car, then looked at him. He opened the door and told me to get in. I've put my bag in the back, and he started the engine. As we drove by, the mountains looked beautiful. Time passed by, as we arrived, Lucas parked the car next to the mountain.

"well, this looks like a good place to hike" i said as I got out of the car with my backpack strapped to my chest. I looked at the mountains, and took a deep breath. I felt the air getting in my lungs, the warm feeling of the nature, surrounding me. He looked at me, and asked me if I am ready. I nodded. We started walking through the forest upward, the tree's were big and strong. Everything looked calm and peaceful, the birds were chirping, the squirls moving from a tree to the other. Some bunnies hopping around, going from a place to the other while eating grass. Everything was beautiful and the sun was shining from the trees.

T'ill I felt a dark and bad presence. I heard some branch crack from behind, when I stopped.

"Did you heard that?" I said, looking back. Lucas looked at me, and told me to get back, but, as soon as I took my first step, the ground rumbled under my feet. I looked around, and saw 4 giant monsters surrounding us. They were standing on their 2 feets, that had 3 big toes and ugly nails. They looked like cyclops to me, the four of them had one big eye, and their mouth was big. i could see their sharp 36 teeth from it.

"Whats your plan now?" I asked, as my back touched his.

"I have no idea" Lucas said, and as soon as I thought, I created the first sharp icecycle i could ever think of. I was hitting those monsters with every bit of magic I got, I even used my wings, and flew high in the sky and killed one of them with my fireball, but it seemed like the 3 of them were stronger than the fourth I killed. I was exhausted so I lost control, and dropped on my knee's. I was trying to catch my breath when Lucas covered me. He hit one of the monters with his chained whip, that was a sacred relic given to him from his father. It was passed down for him from generation's.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I got on my feet's and took back my posture.

"I will be, if we kill those 2 monsters" I said. I ran to the other side, lurking the monster away, when I opened my wings again, and hit the cyclop with some icecycle. the monster was now stuck on the mountain. Lucas was struggling with the last one so I killed him with some fireblast. At the end, we both looked at each other.

"It was a crazy fight, wasn't it?" He said, hitting himself softly to take all the dust off his clothes. he put his whip back on his belt.

"It sure was, from where do these monster come from anyway?" I asked. Lucas looked at me, and told me that he has no idea.
