She entered the main house and was surprised, she saw everything and loved it, she walked around not seeing Jason who had a cellphone on his head. She hit him which made her lose her grip but was caught on the hand by Jason. Instead of arguing, they kept looking at each other

They kept looking at each other until Jason broke the gaze and left her hand making her fall. She got angry and quickly stood up. what's your problem and what are you doing here, Maya asked. I own here, he said proudly with his hands spread out. Maya looked at him and started laughing.

What, you don't believe me, he said. stop lying, you must be a worker here, she said. What, you're nut, he said. you, she was interrupted by Nicky calling out Jason.

They looked and saw her standing with a file in her hands. she walked to them and looked at them both. Jason what are you doing mingling with her, Nicky said. Maya got hurt by what she said and Jason saw her saddness. Mom, i was just talking to her, he said.

She looked at him upset and at Maya and left. After she left, they dialogue leads to awkwardness. They was complete silence until Jason spoke. Uhm, he could only say but Maya walked past him. He didn't look back at her and walked his way.

Maya was in the kitchen. She took a jug filled with orange juice and poured it into a glass cup. She raised it with the attempt to drink it but lost her gaze when Jason came into the kitchen. She ignored him and continued sipping her juice. Give me a glass of juice,he said.

She dropped the glass and looked at him, take it yourself, she said. You have to obey me,he said rudely. she sighed and gave him the juice. She turned to leave but he stopped her. Maya,he called. She looked at him annoyed. Good night,he said, dropped the glass on the counter and walked away. She took the glass and washed it. She kept the glass on the kitchen cabinet. After she was done, she went to her apartment.

She saw her mother folding her clothes. She walked to the bed and lay down. She was lost in thought until her mom spoke. Maya, I might not pay your fee quickly

Don't worry, she said and put her hands resting on her forehead. Pile looked at her daughter but folded the clothes. Good night, said Maya and turned to sleep properly.

The bright sunlight which reflected through the wide window glass of Jason room which made him wake up slowly. He opened his eyes slowly until they were properly clear. He laid idle on the bed, he streched his hand to take his phone and succeeded. He turned it on and looked at the time, his eyes opened widely and removed the blanket away and walked quickly to the shower.

Minutes later, Jason got down to see his mom in the dinning room with Maya mother standing while his mom sat. He walks slowly and sat on the dinning chair. He took a plate and Pile quickly took a dish and put it into his plate. Maya soon came, from the looks of things, she must be hungry. She looked at the dishes on the dinning table. am starving, she said and they all looked at her. Her mother hit her shoulder making her realize what she said.

Nicky looked at her annoyed,in this house, the maids waits for they boss to completely eat before they eat, she said. i am not a maid, Maya said. Your mother is and as long you live here,stay on your line, she said which made Maya looked sad and embarrassed. Jason looked at his mom and then Maya and bit his upper lips. Maya go, said her mom. she wanted to leave but Nicky called her back. fill this glass, she said. mam, that's my job, pile said. I want her to do it, she said firmly and Maya looked at her mom and smiled. she took the jug and came back with the jug filled with water and poured a glass of water for Nicky. She stood there while they ate.

They were complete silence but Nicky broke the silence. Jason, school resumes next week and remains two days before resumption, so I want you to attend empire high, she said. He looked at his mom with food in his mouth and ate quickly to give her a response. Mom,you own empire high,he said. Yes, so I want you to attend my school,as my son, she said. He breathed out and smiled. His mother knew it was his response. Good, Nicky said.

He stood up quickly and went upstairs. He came back with a cellphone on his ear and walked past them. Maya kept looking at him until he was out of sight. Nicky took a sanitary napkin and wipe her lips clean and also used it to clean her hands on dropped it on the dinning table. She stood up and moved aside. tidy here. don't disturb me i will be in my study room, she said to the maids and they all nodded as she walked away.

The maids and Maya took the dishes away. Maya helped them in watching the dishes. Pile was thinking about her daughter fee.

what if I beg mam Nicky, she's rich and might help me

She thought deeply while washing a knife. She cut herself mistakenly and gasped a little. mom, said Maya with a worried voice. What are you thinking of, she added. don't worry,i will take care, she said and walked quickly. what's wrong with her, asked one of the maids to the other maids. Maya phone beemed and she turned it on and found out, it was an alarm of her part time job. I have to go,if mom asks,tell her i am out on my job,I have to change, she said and ran quickly.

She changed her clothes and was outside when she saw Jason waiting and resting on a black car. He looked her way and saw her, she walked past him but he stopped her. wait, he said. She took her last step and slowly turned to him. You haven't apologise,he said. She looked at him and faked a smile, sorry,am late, she said and held her beg tightly. let me take you there, he said calm and nicely. No, thank you, she said and wanted to leave but he held her wrist. she looked at his hands on her wrist and he also look at his hand on her wrist and pulled her into the car and drove quickly.

While he drove the car, Maya kept driving him nut. What are you doing, you can't force me, she continued babbling which got him irritated. quiet, keep quiet, do you know you are a drama queen,he said focusing on his driving. what, she said and he stopped the car making her hit her head. ouch, she said. we are here,he said. what did you do,we are here? , she quickly opened the door and got out fast.

Pile kept thinking about it. I should do it, she said and walked to the study room. she wanted to knock but remembered when she said no one should interrupt. she said she wants no interruption, she turned to leave but didn't know what forced her to knock. The door opened slightly and she pushed the door, she peeped and saw Nicky with a note book. come in,i can see you, said Nicky. Pile came in and stood in front of her.

what do you want, she asked and placed the note on the table and streched her hands on the table and looked straight up at her. Umm, mam, have been working here for so long can I ask for a favor, she asked and Nicky nodded her head. Can you help my daughter with her education, Pile said. Nicky looked at her and nodded. I wouldn't have agreed but because you are a loyal servant,i will give her a scholarship but she should know how she behaves, Nicky said. thank you,Pile said and knelt down. you can go, leave me, Nicky said and pile left happily.

Maya washed the dishes,as she washed,more came, she opened her mouth widely, she looked at the plates and washed it. A smile came on her face when she remembered what Jason did for her this morning. She realized the smile on her face and tried not smiling but it spread more.

Jason was in his car,he parked it and sat inside the car doing nothing just chatting on his phone. He smiled and blinked twice. He remembered when she kept talking and not stopping. what a drama queen,he said,shaked his head and continued chatting.

A young teenage girl who sat on her sofa with her left leg on her right leg, she was watching the television with the remote control and changed the channel. The next channel was the news, she wanted to change the channel but stopped by what she heard. Jason David Scott heir to the Scott Empire came back yesterday from Australia where it was issued he has been for the last seven years. The girl was surprised and sat properly. She stood up quickly, his back,my love is back, she said and ran into her room. She soon came out dressed. I have to see him,yes Eric,if I met Eric i can see him, she said and ran with the heel.

She was in her car driving when her phone rang. she answered the call. Mom, she said happily. why are you happy, asked her mom. Jason has come back and i am going to see him, bye, she said and hung quickly. am going to you Jason, she said and increase the speed limit which results in driving fast.

Eric used his car key to open his car, when he heard a car sound. is mom here,he asked. He looked curiously and saw the young teenage girl. Cassy, what are you doing here,he asked. why didn't you tell me Jason's back, she said with her hand on her waist. it isn't compulsory for you to know,he said and finally succeeded in opening car. what do you mean, you know how I feel about Jason, she said. tell him that yourself, Eric said. he doesn't love me, Cassy said hurt. it isn't my fault,he said, entered the car and drove past her. She looked at his car angrily and stood there.

Maya was at her boss office, she received her pay and thanked the man. She walked out of the restaurant..It was dark

mom will be mad, she said and ran quickly.

She arrived soon and opened the door quickly expecting to not see her mom but was faultless. Mom, she said frightened. Why are you late, pile asked while she was removing the dirt from the beans. I work overtime, Maya said. ok,I have something to tell you, she said slowly. What, said Maya as she took off her shoes and socks. I begged mam Nicky to sponsor you and she agreed,you were given a scholarship to empire high, she said.

Pile looked at her daughter and stopped what she did,I know but empire high is a rich school,you can improve well, Pile tried to make her understand. rich,I don't care if we are rich,am going to sleep,am not eating tonight, she said and laid on the bed and turned away from looking at her mom. Pile looked at her daughter and sighed. she continued removing the dirt from the beans.

The next day.. The house was silent as usual. Jason looked around and touched his hair. He heard noises in the kitchen and went there. He saw Maya with her mom. They were preparing the dishes and serving it. They would take it to the table and return to take another. Pile saw Jason and called him..young master, she said. The call caught the attention of Maya as she looked at him. what are you doing here,do you need anything, Pile asked. yes, a glass of water, Jason said. Pile nodded and gave him a glass of water .thanks,he said. I have to call your mom, do this quickly, Pile said and touched Maya shoulder as she left.

Jason drank the water slowly and kept looking at Maya but she avoided his gaze which got him annoyed and he wanted her attention. give me another glass of water,he said. She looked at him and collected the glass, filled it with water and gave him. When he saw she didn't give him a response,he left. She looked at him as he left and she tilted her head and smiled.

A maid and Jason were going down the stairs, Maya saw them and removed her gaze. The maid walked to Maya. madam is calling you, the maid said. me, she said and the maid walked to where Jason stood and they both went to the study room where they saw his mom just looking at the ceiling fan. madam they are here, the maid said. Nicky moved her hand continuously for the maid to go, the maid bowed down and walked away. it was left the two of them.

Nicky kept looking at them which made the two of them uncomfortable. I called you here because I want to make things clear for the both of you, Maya, she looked at Maya, Jason, she looked at him,you both would be attending the same school but that doesn't mean you will become friends, Maya you should know your standards, don't talk to Jason and act like you don't know him, she said rudely and Maya nodded. good, that's what I want to clear out,you can leave, she said and they both left.

When they were out of the study room. Jason called her but she neglected him. Maya,he called. she looked at him with a sad face. he knew it was because of what his mom said.. don't mind what she said. Jason said. Please,let me start abiding by what she said, Maya said and walked away. Jason kept looking at her until she was out of sight.

Why did madam called you, asked Pile concerned. Nothing, she just told me to stay in my line and avoid her son Jason, Maya said not caring. you should listen to her, have noticing a close bond between you and Jason, hope you are not dating, asked Pile. mom, nothing is going on. we are not even friends,I have to take a bath and go to work as I will have to continue my part time job because of school instead of the full time, she said and went to bath

She soon came out with a towel, she was looking for something, she scattered her bag and books. This action made Pile worried. what happened, she asked. am looking for a menstrual pad, Maya said. We don't have one here, she said. what will i do, Maya asked worried. I will help you buy, take a bath quickly, Pile said and stood up. thank you, Maya said with a smile on her face.

Pile gave the menstrual pad to Maya and soon she came out dressed. am going, bye, she said and kissed her mom on the cheek. she carried her bag and left.

Maya reached her destination and breath heavily due to running. She saw a car parked near the cafe. She walked past the car but it was tight, she touched the car to support herself. Cassy came out of the mall which was adjacent to the cafe. She saw Maya touching her car and made a fuss about it. What did you do, Cassy asked searching around her car for a scratch. Sorry but you blocked your car so I couldn't move, Maya said and Cassy slapped her. That's for my car, she said and entered her car as she drove away. Maya gasped and walked into the cafe.

Hours later, the day was dark and Maya cleaned the tables. When she was done, she saw her boss as he congratulated other workers and gave them they pay. He walked to her and said, Maya, you did well, this was your first day but good job, take this your payment, He said and handed her the money. She bowed her head and smiled.

Pile kept the food which was on the table away. Maya came in soon after as Jason and Nicky were there. She walked to her mom and helped her. don't be late again or someone will pay for the consequences, Nicky said and looked at Pile so did Maya. sorry,it won't happen, she said and kept the dishes.

When Maya and Pile was in the kitchen, they had a conversation, Maya,if you are late,go through the back door but if you are early, you can come through the main entrance, madam is a non tolerant person but she is kind, said Pile as she gave a plate for Maya to dry and keep. Kind indeed, Maya mumured with sarcasm in her voice. What did you say, asked Pile. nothing, Maya said defensive. Let's do this quickly or just go to bed, so you can wake up early, said Pile. no,we will do this together, she said and Pile looked at her and handed a plate to her and she dried and kept it.

The guest door was opened. It was Maya and Pile,they fell weakly on the floor, am so tired, they are just two people who eat,why do you even fill they table with food, they won't even eat most of it,ugh,am so tired, Maya said weakly and annoyed.

Don't say that, at least we can eat,we have to work hard before we eat,you don't want to eat without working hard, said Pile. Ok, she said. Maya,I will save money so I can buy you the uniform, Pile said. Don't work yourself out,let me buy the uniform my self, Maya said. It's too expensive, Pile answered to her daughter answer. It can't be that expensive, how much is it she said reluctant. 5000, Pile said. what,5000, so how much will the fee be, a 100,000, she said with a surprise tone. I don't know, Pile said. Maya nodded her head and looked at her mom.

The next day, Maya wore a casual clothes and was ready, she and her mom went out and saw Jason with his mom. A driver was with them, Nicky saw them both, Pile, she said. Her call made Jason notice them,he looked at Maya from up till down. Take him to school, said Maya and the driver nodded. Maya and Pile kept looking at them. do you need a ride, that's impossible, Nicky said rudely. Mom,am going, Maya said and walked.

She was at the road when the car drove past her but moved back. The car mirror was steered down. Jason looked through the mirror. I will take you to school,he said. no, Maya said. ok, suit your self, he said. She looked at him and sighed,ok, she said and he smiled. she got into the car. They arrived at the school. She saw many rich students.

Jason got down from the car, everyone ran to him especially the females. Maya came out of the car and people started gossiping, whose that girl, what is she doing with Jason. In order to avoid questions she walked away from the crowd and left. She looked back and saw Jason focusing on the crowd and she shaked her head.

They were all at class. When Jason walked into the class,the girls were looking at him with love and gasped. He sat at the back of the class close to Eric. The teacher walked into the class and dropped her stationaries. She looked at the class and smiled. can the new student please introduce themselves, Jason can we start with you, she pointed at him.

He stood up and faced the class,you all must know me, the teacher nodded at his statement. most of the girls were, gasping, drooling and blowing kisses to him. can you please tell us your ex school, the teacher said. if i tell you my ex school known of you have heard or seen it, he said and looked at Maya who a girl talked to. We don't have to ask if you came through scholarship,we all know you,you can sit now, she said and Jason went to sit. You, she said pointing at Maya stopping she and her new friend conversation.

Maya stood up and faced the class just as Jason, my name is Maya and I would love learning with you all and some of the students laughed. quiet, which school did you attend before, said the teacher. I attended Collins academy, she said. Ok, did you come through scholarship or not, the teacher said and Maya looked at her. we ask this question, so we will know your standards and put it on your form for better understanding, said the teacher and Eric hissed. Maya was quiet and spoke,I came through scholarship, she said embarrassed and the whole classed laughed except Jason and Eric. quiet, shouted the teacher and the noise reduced gradually. you can sit, the teacher said and Maya walked to her seat ashamed and avoided the eyes that gazed at her. Jason looked at her but couldn't see her face.

After the class, Maya got the key to her locker and opened it, she put her stuff into it and some girls passed her by and mocked her. She ignored them and continued. Jason walked through the hall way and everyone cleared his path. He went to his locker and opened it. The girl who spoke to Maya came to her. hi, name's Nancy, she said. mine Maya, she said and they shoke hand. sorry, they laugh at you, they do that to me sometimes,my mom isn't rich my dad died,I got a scholarship through the government, Nancy said. Maya smiled at her and so did Nancy.

Jason was done putting his stuff into his locker when Eric came, i saw you looking at that girl, i also heard rumours,you brought her to school,do you have feelings for her, asked Eric. no, she's the one that spilled juice on me,I can't like her, I want to get my revenge for spilling juice on me he said and saw Maya looking at him and so did he looked at her and smiled.
