CHAPTER 2 ⚁

'Urghhh...'

Argos woke up with a splitting headache. With a blurry vision, he looked around himself and was welcomed with the various clatter of voices assaulting him viciously.

'What is happening...its the third time my heads been knocked out like this including the time I died' though Argos

Argos started to look around himself to gain his bearing and not to possibly get knocked out again.

'Where are we"

"Heck if I know"

"Are they gonna float us after all"

"Looks like they were finally tired of us"

"Are we not even allowed to breathe anymore"

Many people were sitting on seats strapped to belts they could not get rid of. Though he did not know what being 'floated' meant but it somehow filled him with dread.

In a panic he used a lot of force to try and break the belt, this unnatural amount of strength caused the metallic buckle to snap like twig successfully.

Just as he was about to make a break for it he stopped himself as a screen lit up, on the screen a black-skinned man spoke up

"Citizens of the Ark, I am Chancellor Jaha, You must be wondering why you all have been brought here, Its to give you a second chance. All of you will be sent back to a mission that will save many people...All your crimes will be pardoned in exchange for this mission, the bracelets on your arms will notify us of your situation and help us better understand... To be honest, it's just because your actions have made you ...expandable" The black-skinned man, the chancellor of The Ark, or whatever it was called briefed everyone of what was expected of them.

Argos was able to get a better handle of his situation. It looks like in this world he was a resident of the Ark. A space ship kind of thing that housed the so-called remaining humanity and whatnot. A hundred people were selected as a scout group to be sent to Earth after 97 years.

But what really irked him was the fact that he was not made aware of what he has to do in order to complete his mission.No massage, No direction was given to him.

He was also worried if even received some kind of powerup or not.

Suddenly the Engines started revving and soon the whole spaceship started to rock like crazy

"We are entering the atmosphere please wear your seatbelt if you dont want to die" a blondie yelled at him, which made him notice that his belt was broken and he was flung across the floor towards two other passengers, then the ship starting to rotate causing him to unluckily bash his head again into a pole and losing consciousness.

'It the fourth time, Are you serious 😒 ' with these thoughts he lost his marbles and went to sleep.

Subconscious

Argos was lying in what appeared to be a big white room, slowly he regained his bearing and stood up and started to examine hai surroundings.

The room only had a single board on which many papers were pinned.

'Let's see....oh so this is my mission....well that's one thing out of the way ohh ao this what I get as a power-up, heh it's alright'

The following was written on the board

Mission get rid of as many mountain men as you can,atleast more than a hundred

powerup granted: Survival king

Enhanced physique

Although Argos now had a name he did not know whose name it was.Before Argos could think of anything else he was pulled back in a jerking manner and the next thing he knew he woke up in the forest.Bright beams of sunlight falling on him peeking through the woods.

He stood up slowly with a splitting headache,

"Look he's up, get him some water" said a girl

soon another guy with long hair reaching his shoulder came with water amd handed it to Argos.

Argos took big gulps of water to quench his thirst and more possibly his pain as well. It seemed being flunged back and forth for a duration of a landing time was very hard.

"You know you are lucky that you are alive somehow..with apparently no serious injury which is a surprise," said the blonde girl

After a bit of talk, she left Argos alone and walked over to the long-haired guy,

"I am Argos by the way," said Argos to which she gave a polite smile

"I am Clarke"

"And I am spacewalker, over and out"

"He is Finn"

And they were back to their own business not like Argos did not have a mission of his own.

'Look, first, I need to do is check out what I am capable of Survival king and Enhanced physique probably helped me in saving my life just now. And I also need to find the other civilization.. let's call em grounders as they are ground people.'

Argos thought that since the mission board gave him a mission regarding Mountain men than it was a high chance he was dealing with other humans that must have been on Warth before the ship came down, Now the question was should he go about this.

Just standing up and dusting your butt won't do, Argos needs solid proof that he is going to be dealing with humans and not some dragons and wyverns kind of shit. Most importantly h was gonna need some weapons but he was sure that Survival king will take care of that.

He was just Bout to drink the whole flask of water when he heard the girl who talked to him earlier yell at the other people about how it was their first priority to go to mount weather and that the rations are gonna run out.

At the end of the argument, the girl made a group and was about to leave when Argos decided to join them.

This would help him.in case there were some extraordinary things out there, then he could just make a run for it while this group would distract them. Also because when he heard her talk about a mountain, rations for 300, he had a good feeling.possibly an indicator of some kind but who knows.

After a bit of talk, he was allowed to join in with them for the 'Adventure' to the mountain.

While on their way He had the weirdest but familiar feeling that's when he noticed that he was walking as if he was some kind of ninja/warrior plus padded feet hobbit as he made no sound.

Every touch told him, told him what was what and what was not. They came across some herbs and shrubs here and there which he had known nothing about before he canes here but now he knew so much that he might go in shock.

"Hey, guys!!! I see our food" says Argos

"Woaahh!! it's a-- d "Said jasper

"It's a real deer that's whats it's called right" answered Monty. (that's what he's called right)

"So.. no animals right, heh," Said Finn in a scoffing manner

"Wait a minute "

Argus nearly had his heart jump into his throat by what he saw, the deer had two fucking heads with one a whole, and the other mangled as if challenging the very nature itself and then it looked directly at them, more because of Finn tripping his foot.

After sparing a glance at the group the deer sped of in high speed to wherever it came from

"Come on guys we need to keep going and hopefully we reach there in time I really would not like to stay here in the dark" Said Clarke with clear horror in her eyes

With some heavy step, Argos followed at the far back hoping that this world does not go above his paygrade
