Slime Bounty Hunter 1/2

Kei sat on an empty grass field right outside of the town in Austia, depressed. The cheat he had gotten, [Magic Creation] was undoubtedly overpowered. However, the things he needed to do to create magic was crazy.

"So, you're telling me that if I want to create a magic that allows me to add power to my sword every time I get a kill, I need to kill 1,000,000 LVL 1 creatures? Is this cheat insane?" Kei asked. he could understand 1,000, Mabey even 10,000, but a million? How many months would that take?

'It's just as I've expected. It's a work hard gain hard system. I can't lazily make my way to the top. I'll need to grit my teeth and grind if I want to get there."

So, Kei gritted his teeth and grabbed the sword that lay in front of him to begin looking for monsters.

A few minutes later, he had spotted a slime. It was as big as a bear and as jiggly as jello. So, Kei tightened the grip around his [Blank Sword] and charged at it without a real attack strategy.

"Why are these world's slime so huge? it's comparable to an almost fully grown lion!" Kei exclaimed with surprise.

A perfect swing and it cut the side of the jiggly slime in half. The cut slime chunk slid off the body as if it was ice and landed on the ground. But then the slime pounced forward while Kei was still in his attack position.

Kei jumped back just before it grabbed ahold of his body. However, the slime did grab his sword which was still pointed towards it. Kei and the slime had a tug of war battle over who could keep the sword, and it seemed as though the slime would win.

But just as Kei's grip loosened heavily and almost let the sword slide from his fingertips, he twisted his entire body with all his might while still holding the sword to cut into the slime.

It worked and the slime had its body cut once again.

Now, two chunks of slime rested on the floor.

Kei took two big leaps backward, putting about 10 feet between them.

But just as Kei thought he was making progress, the two chunks of slime that rested on the floor scurred back to the bigger slime. They merged with the bigger slime and it healed, almost as if the two sword strikes that cut through the jello never happened.

"What!? How am I supposed to defeat it then?" Kei yelled. Anger burst into his veins as he analyzed the creature. Then, the slime slowly scooted towards him like a panther ready to pounce.

Then, Kei had a breakthrough. A single ball that looked almost like a marble floated inside of the slime. It was colored only a slightly darker blue than the slimes jello, which made it significantly harder to notice.

Nevertheless, Kei had noticed it and came up with a plan of attack.

'Aha! That must be the weak spot! You're done for, slimey' Kei thought, also coming up with a cunning nickname.

He began running towards the lion-sized slime like a mad man. Sword held over his head and a fierce look in his eyes that showed defiance, Kei Threw himself into the air to build up momentum for his sword slash. As he came crashing back down towards the ground, he made sure to perfectly aim his sword toward the little blue marble within the slime.

A second later, Kei was on the ground huffing a puffing like a tired dog.

He grabbed his flask that was strapped to his waist and drank with vigour. After letting out a sigh of relief, he stood up.

"Only 999,999 left to go," He said, a spark of determination in his eyes.

After an entire two days of grinding, Kei had managed to kill 10 slimes.

"I'm getting nowhere! I'll be here to the end of time," Kei said. He felt defeated.

He looked over to his sword.

"However, there is a silver lining. My sword. It's leveled up to 2. On top of that, it is adapting to my style, quick but strong swings." Kei stated. He felt a little bit of his willpower return.

it used to take at least 5 minutes to kill a slime. Now, the number was reduced to 2. And then after leveling up to LVL 2, it took now only a minute and thirty seconds. Now it was a matter of finding slimes instead of killing them. For every football field of land, there were only one or two slimes. This meant that Kei had to walk, run, and jog everywhere. He had burned an absolute motherload of calories in two days.

But then, something peculiar happened. A slime seemed to integrate out of the ground.

'Wait, isn't that where I've killed three other slimes?' Kei asked.

He knew this because of the rock formation that was beside the slime. The rock shaped a loose figure of a star.

"Wait! I just had a genius idea! Assuming that slimes have a spawn location, then what if I create magic that increases their spawn rate of them? If the cost to create that magic is cheap then I should be able to kill 1,000,000 slimes insanely fast. Alright, time to test my theory." He plotted.

"System, what would be the cost of increasing the spawn rate of slimes in this area?" Kei asked.

[100 Heartpeices of a slime. This will increase the spawn rate of slimes after death from 30 minutes to 1 second. ] The system responded.

Kei smiled happily. He had just figured out a loophole.
