Misaki Xe was wandering happily with Jan Ran by her side. The invited guests were all looking at them with admiration.

"Wow! They are looking like a couple made in heaven."

"You are right. Both of them are destined for each other," the others approved. Hearing those praises,Misaki smiled. She looked towards Jan and kissed him in his cheek. There was no doubt that she was purposely showing off before them. She really wanted to see the disappointed look of Ling right now. When she was about to look back,suddenly a woman asked," Where is the first daughter of Xuabi Xe? I haven't seen her around for a long time." The man beside her answered lowering his voice," Don't you know? She had done something really shameful and embarrassed the whole Xe family."

"But I've heard that she is a well behaved lady. How could she do something like that?" Noticing that the discussion had slowly turned towards Ling,Misaki clenched her fist. Today was her engagement but still Ling had become the topic of discussion. It could not be continued on, she had to do something. As she was going to make a move,she heard a familiar voice saying," Looks like I've arrived in time. I was afraid of being late at my little sister's engagement party." All the guests of the hall turned to find out the owner of the voice. Ling was standing at the entrance smiling beautifully. Her beauty had shocked everyone. They seemed to be distracted at her wonderful appearance. A sense of jealousy rose in Misaki. She thought that Ling wouldn't come here out of shame. But she never expected to find out Ling at such a good condition. Even Jan was amazed at Ling's beauty. Ling didn't pay any attention to their gazes as she walked elegantly towards the couple and said ,"Congratulation. I am so happy to see that my ex has become the fiancee of my sister. I hope you'll cherish her well." Her speech astonished everyone. They were now looking at each other with confusion. What was she talking about? They weren't informed about this matter. Suspicions began to grow among them. Some even started throwing comments towards the couple."How could she snatch her own sister's lover!"

"I bet she was jealous and that's why she seduced him" She could hear one of the girl saying," I think Jan is not a manly man at all. Otherwise no one will run after a shameless girl leaving a generous beauty like Ling behind." All who were praising the engaged couple just a while ago, were now looking at them with disgust. The whole situation had changed dramatically after the encounter of Ling. Misaki fiercely looked at Ling while trying her best to control her anger. " What's your motive of saying those?"she asked in a low voice. Ling seemed to be surprised at her question. " I was just speaking the truth. Both of you have really matched well," she told in an innocent tone as if she didn't know what Misaki was talking about. Jan left Misaki's hand as he was at a loss what to do. If it was in the past, Ling would have cried helplessly. Maybe she was trying to hide her emotions by behaving like this. Well, he still could try to hurt her by pretending to be a good brother-in-law. Then out of grief, she wouldn't be able to talk like this anymore. Jan put his hand on her shoulder while saying in a comforting way," Ling, I know you like me. But I've always liked Misaki with all my heart. He was behaving like a generous person as if he was feeling sad for turning down her expectation. Ling curved her eyes a little. The man in front of her was the man she used to love crazily. She couldn't belief that her choice was taste was so bad in the past . She calmly moved away his hand from her shoulder. She looked at his eyes directly," Brother-in-law please reserve your behavior. There is no way I will love a person who could be seduced so easily," her eyes were as cold as ice. Experiencing her indifferent attitude, Jan was stunned. He failed to gather words i front of her. She had totally changed! When he looked around he noticed that everyone's gazes were on them,he coughed a little. He tried to behave as if nothing had happened a while ago. He put his arm around Misaki's waist and told sweetly,

"Honey, why don't you talk with your sis a little? I have something else to do anyway." Jan's eyes gave her a sign. She understood immediately what he wanted her to do. She smiled at him and nodded. When he left, she turned towards Ling and suddenly hugged her. She was looking like an affectionate sister wholly," Sis, let's go to father. He is waiting for you." Ling was enjoying the acting right now so she acted along with Misaki. She smiled and told in a serious tone," Well, my main purpose of coming here is to see dad. So it's obvious that I'll go with you." Many thoughts had appeared at Misaki's mind at a time. What's Ling trying to do? Could it be that she has someone powerful backing her up? She immediately cancelled the thought. If there was really someone like that out there, the Xe family would have been destroyed long ago. Maybe she could still play some tricks like past. When she was dragging Ling towards father, an idea occurred in her mind. She secretly gazed at Ling with an evil smile. Ling , I will make certain of having my revenge for what you've done today.

Seeing them going away, Shen Yun smiled . His sharp black eyes had been watching Ling for a long time. He came to this party to handle some business issues though he didn't expect to witness a situation like this. While discussing, a sudden chaos caught his attention. As a handsome and powerful businessman, he had seen many many kinds of women but Ling Xe was different from all of them. Her boldness amazed him greatly. Shen understood just by a glance that she wasn't easy to deal with. He ordered his men in a deep,cold voice ,"Keep an eye on that woman . It looks like the Xe family is pretty complicated. I want all of her information in details." The man bowed with respect," As you wish, young master." After the man went away, he put down his glass of wine while thinking about Ling. Her voice was echoing in his mind. Such an extra-ordinary girl, what's happened to her? No matter what he would make sure of having her only for himself. Then he'll see if the Xe family would still dare to harm her, Shen thought to himself. A faint smile occurred at his face as he walked towards them.
