Chapter XLIX: Satisfaction.

Last Time.

"Wally, I didn't want you to find out this way-OW!" Naruto yelled as Stephanie kicked him in the knee. "Okay, okay! Zatanna made this Glamour Charm. It'll hide your features to everyone but us." He said as her reflection on a puddle showed black hair and a slightly different face.

"Same for the voice, you'll sound deeper to everyone but us as well." Naruto finished as she spoke up.

"How'd you get her to agree to this without asking questions?" She asked getting Naruto to grin.

"Took all night and we enjoyed every last minute of it."

They walked outside where Stephanie and Kaldur went to his sub and left. "Hopefully, that was the hard part." Naruto said before leaving.

"No, the hard part's just started." Wally said walking the other way.

Now.

Star City; Royal Memorial Hospital March 21, 14:22 PDT.

(A/N: When out of costume, I'll put up Roy C. for when Clone Roy shares a scene with the real Roy so there's no confusion.)

"So, let me get this straight." Roy said as he laid on a hospital bed, his right arm bandaged up.

Naruto stood in front in a leather jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers with an orange strip on them.

Oliver stood to his left, wearing a dark blue button short over a black shirt, dress pants and shoes.

Roy C. is wearing a black jacket with red on the shoulders over a grey shirt, jeans and black shoes.

"While I was on ice, you found another Roy Harper, the sidekicks formed their own team, aliens invaded the Earth, and... Ollie grew that dopey goatee?"

"That about sums it up." Naruto said as Roy C. rubbed his head.

"We don't like to be called sidekicks."

"You don't like the goatee?!"

"So missing the point!" Roy yelled getting the two to look at him as Naruto put his hands in his pockets.

"I want answers; what happened to me? How can there be another Roy Harper? And what happened to my arm!?" Roy finished raising his stub.

"Alright, alright." Naruto said raising his hands. "We wanted to wait until you were stronger to take it all in."

"What's the last thing you remember before we found you in Tibet?" Roy C. asked having Roy look down.

"(Sigh) I've... been trying to piece that together. I remember investigating a Lexcorp shell company, that we suspected was smuggling weapons to North Relashia." He said directing the last part to Oliver. "Some Lexcorp goons got the drop on me. I remember feeling, embarrassed. Then... Nothing."

"That's right. They grabbed you. Thing is, Roy... That was eight years ago." Oliver said getting Roy's eyes to widen.

"What!?"

"Lex Luthor and the Light. This criminal group he joined to get rid of the Justice League. He took you, and they're the ones who took your arm." Naruto explained having Roy look as his stub.

"Why? So I couldn't use my bow?"

"No, they needed an endless supply of D.N.A to perfect their cloning process. This Roy, is one of two that we know of." Naruto finished as Roy glanced to his clone.

"So that's what you are, a clone."

"Yeah. They grew me, or force-grew me. In sixteen weeks, I looked your age. They programmed me with all of your memories, your skills. And worse."

"And they spoonfed me clues to where you were. I thought I was doing detective work. But in hindsight... (Sigh) You've been missing for three months. I'd been going crazy, so when I found you-him!" Oliver said pointing to Roy C. "I didn't question the good fortune."

"I had no idea, it wasn't the real-original you. I had no idea Luthor had you on ice this entire time."

"So what you're saying is... You took my place." Roy said to his clone who was sitting in a chair beside the bed. "You've lived my life for eight years."

"And he's been tirelessly searching for you for five of those years."

"Huh? But not you. You gave up on me."

"Because Lex ordered you to be killed after taking your arm. At least that's what was on the files we found as soon as your.. Brother was revealed to be a clone. I have two daughters who was grown at the same time as him, and Superman's son. They destroyed the D.N.A for all of them."

Naruto said crossing his arms. "But, they had control of the clones and had your other one attack the lab you were kept in and destroyed everything, so we thought you had died."

"GET OUT! ALL OF YOU!"

Naruto sighed as Roy yelled having both him and Oliver walk out as Roy C. sat for a moment before following. He walked out to follow Oliver who went to the church room before Naruto heard a voice.

"Everything OK?"

Naruto looked to see Dinah walk over, Quentin on her back in a holder. "I think it was a little much for him to take in all at once. Oh! Something you want to tell me?"

"No." She replied shaking her head.

"Really? Not a 'you were right'?"

She deadpanned at him. "Really? Now? Didn't you get enough from when we talked to Red?"

"Nope. This is big. I'm the first husband to get his wife to admit she was wron-nggahh!" He screamed as she reached down, and squeezed his groin. "OK!"

A few minutes later, Roy C. and Oliver walked back in, and opened the door to Roy's room. Only to find it empty.

"Well, shit." Naruto said looking inside. "What now?"

"We'll find him." Oliver said walking out with Roy.

"Need help?"

"No. Not this time." Oliver replied turning down a hall.

(A/N: The scenes with Roy going after Lex, until the end will be canon, and skipped.)

Mount Justice March 21, 17:33 EDT.

Kage stood with Nightwing as Mal, and Superboy looked at pictures of Aquaman, Lagoon Boy, Kaldur, and Black Manta.

"Aquaman has all of Atlantis on the case." Mal said as a hologram of the world came up. "Said, and I quote, 'Looking over the seven seas for Lagoon Boy and his captors'. But that's a lot of water."

"We'll find him." Superboy said placing a hand on Mal's shoulder.

"And Aqualad. I want his fish head on a platter for what he did to Stephanie."

"(Sigh) I don't suppose we're any closer on finding out the Light's part..." Superboy trailed off seeing Nightwing was gone. "Hey. Where is everyone?"

"Girls are at Raquel's bridal shower. Everyone else is down in the grotto." Naruto replied walking over. And missed Naruto E. walk into his office, and saw the picture of the Team back in October '13 in G.C.P.D. and picked it up.

(Flashback.)

Gotham City; Panessa Studios, October 31, 21:15 EST.

Kage, dropped his knee on a muscular man holding a mini-gun, knocking the man out. He ran to the entrance of the studios with Batman and went to the elevator.

Once they got down there, they saw a man guarding the gate inside, back to them, holding a car door as a makeshift shield. Naruto jumped over, and grabbed him in an inverted facelock, and dropped down bringing the man's head on the floor, knocking him out.

Looking in the holding area, they saw Lagoon Boy, and Batgirl facing off against a large group of men. Naruto looked back to see Batman point a small speaker gun at a voice I.D. lock.

"Open." The speaker spoke with Harley's Voice having the door open.

Both Batman, and Naruto took out five men each before taking out one more by throwing them up in the air for Lagoon Boy and Batgirl to take them out. Naruto took out several kunai with tags on them and threw them to the rest of the men. They exploded in green smoke knocking them out.

"This one's still conscious."

Naruto looked to see Batman put his foot on one man who was still awake. The others walked over and Naruto crouched down beside the man's head.

"The infected. Where are they?" Batman asked as Naruto smiled down at the man.

"They're not infected! They're Joker's kids! And they ain't leaving until you're all a pile of corpses!"

"How did she find us? How did she get in?"

"I'd tell him if I was you. He's not in this good of a mood often." Naruto said before the man grunted.

"How should I know? I guess she's just smarter than you think!"

"I don't think so." Batman said bringing his knee down, knocking the man out.

"Well... She did have a PhD." Batgirl said as Naruto stood up.

"Well. Now she has Ph-DDs." He said getting her to deadpanned. "Oh come on, that was too easy!"

Naruto looked to see Batman lock the building before walking to the door on the other side of the room. Naruto jumped over before looking back. "Batgirl, Lagoon Boy, stay here, and lock the doors behind us."

They walked in, and saw a mine set leading to a haunted mansion set, a western set, and a game show set. All but the mansion set were locked. "Let's get Christina."

Going into the set, Naruto saw she was in the controls in the back of the large room before jumping to the top of the set with Batman. "Well, this is starting to get repetitive." Creating several clones, Naruto took out each man, before dropping on another one with a minigun.

Four more men came out and Naruto and Batman quietly took out the back two before tackling the last two, and knocked them out. Going up to the door, they reached for the handle. Only for another man, and Christina to jump at them.

Naruto grabbed the female Joker and took out a sleeping gas arrow and knocked her out as Batman took out the man. Naruto picked up Christina and took her back to her cell. Once doing so, Naruto and Batman went to the western set.

Naruto saw it was locked with men behind a barred gate before taking an arrow out of his quiver and shot it past them.

"Ha! You missed!" One man yelled as Naruto suddenly flashed beside him and took out him, and the others. He created a clone to go to the game show set and take care of Johnny as they went to get Albert.

Once inside, they saw Albert with a group of men before Naruto looked to Batman.

"I got this." Naruto dashed over and hit Albert with a Rasengan (Spiraling Sphere), and sent him to the back wall, effectively knocking him out.

Naruto created several clones that took Albert to his cell as they walked out.

"Alfred, we're almost done here, and we need to make up for lost time. Prepare another upgrade for the cars."

"I'll have the Weapons Generator Mach 2 ready. With it, you'll be able to overcharge your weapons." Alfred relied as they made their way to the gates. Only for it to be locked by the Joker's men. Naruto flashed inside and took the out just as Harley walked in.

And had her L.M.G. knocked out of her hands before being picked up over Naruto's shoulder. She beats on his back as they made it back to the main room. Where Batgirl, and Lagoon Boy are in cells and the other two Joker-infected people dead in theirs.

"It was you, Henry." Batman said as Naruto put Harley down who ran to Henry, who held a pistol. He wiped his mouth, showing pale skin and red lips. He laughed maniacally and showed he hacked into the computers before putting the gun to Harley's side.

"There's no need to hurt her." Naruto said as Henry turned his gun to them, and shot Johnny in the head. And had an arrow pierce his hand. "AAHH!" Henry yelled out as Naruto jumped over, and punched Henry away from Harley. Henry reached into his pocket and took a pill out and swallowed it before collapsing.

Naruto sighed as Artemis and Spoiler dropped down from the shadows. "Thought you could use the help." Artemis said as Naruto took Harley to one of the cells. And opened the wall to another to make it a larger one.

"I'll be bringing Ivy here soon, Harley." Naruto said seeing her confusion. He and Batman ran back outside and went to a building beside the studios and upgraded their weapons to fire more missiles.

"Hope you're not busy, Naruto. I've got a truck by the bank in Kingston." Naruto heard Nightwing over his earpiece.

"Got it, I'll let you know where they go. Frost, meet me there in the Tumbler." Naruto said before jumping out of his car and ran off.

"Got it."

Gotham City; Founder's Island, October 31, 21:32 EST.

Naruto dropped down in a building after taking care of the guards outside. Dropping down, Naruto quickly took out six men just as Killer Frost dropped down from the ceiling and froze the rest of the men solid. Naruto exploded the vault before looking around.

"Where's Nightwing?"

"Good news."

The two looked to the side and saw a large screen T.V. with Nightwing on it. "I found Penguin. He's right where we want him."

He was suddenly punched by Penguin who walked on screen. "Cocky little bastard. You've been takin' from me all night, Kage. I think it's time I did a little takin' of my own."

"I'm fine guys, don't worry about me."

The T.V. shut off having Naruto sigh.

Later, Naruto and Frost went to a construction building several miles away and knocked out the five guards on top next to an elevator. They dropped down and went into a vent into a room where Nightwing's being held.

Going to a small hidden room behind Nightwing, they went out, and knocked out several men before breaking Nightwing free and they attacked the group. Once finishing up, they covered the weapons in explosive tags before closing it.

Click!

Naruto and Frost turned to see Penguin hold a kneeling Nightwing at gunpoint. "One wrong move, and you'll be-Oof!" He stopped as Nightning elbowed him in the crotch, and flip him over to Naruto.

Naruto slammed him down and destroyed the cache.

Gotham City; G.C.P.D. October 31, 21:45 EST.

Naruto took Penguin inside where every cell in the front was filled up. He saw a sign near the entrance door that had '95% captured' on it.

"Hey boss, you're here! We're back together!"

"You hear that, Kage? That's loyalty."

Naruto rolled his eyes as he took Penguin inside and threw him inside the middle cell. "You must be proud."

"I told Scarecrow involving you was a bad idea." Penguin said to Two-Face.

"Watch it, Cobblepot! We're on the same side of the bars now." Two-Face said walking up to Penguin as Naruto disappeared.

Gotham City; Miagani Island October 31, 21:48 EST.

Naruto drove up to the Batmobile as Batman with Ivy's help took out the last Cobra tank. "Oh, thank God I missed that fight!" He said before Batman came up on a screen in front of him.

"We should take Ivy back to the studios before the Knight launches another assault, it's too dangerous to be here."

They launched out up top where Ivy was who walked out of the trunk.

"You're not safe here, Ivy. The Knight knows where you are."

"I won't leave them. They can't do it alone, they need me."

Suddenly, a screen came up on Batman's gauntlet showing a large tank on one of the bridge.

BOOM!

They looked to see a large orange/red cloud from the area rise up and cover the entire city. Naruto grabbed Ivy and protected her as he groaned, getting the memories of all the clones in the city dying from the attack. After a moment, the now orange dust covered heroes stood up as Ivy walked to the tree.

"It's worse then I thought." She said through gritted teeth. "My plants are dying." She said looking to the tree as it started to die out.

"Not for long." Naruto said as He created a clone that suddenly disappear. Suddenly, five Sennin Mōdo (Sage Mode) Naruto clones flashed by them. Two went inside as the other three put their hands on the tree. It started to green back up and grew larger as Naruto pushed Ivy inside.

The two clones put a hand on her arm getting her to gasp feeling Nature's power explode through her as she put her hands on two orbs as the tree closed. "Stagg should have a way to stop this." Naruto said as he went into his cloak and flew up, grabbing Batman's grapple hook and brought him to Stagg's airship.

Once there Naruto quickly took out the men at the destroyed end and they went inside Only to see an empty cage and men patrolling around.

"Stagg got out somehow." Batman said turning on his vision. "We need to find him before the Knight's forces get him. Let's deal with them first."

"Yeah."

Naruto replied before jumping up to a platform Naruto created several clones that knocked out each men as Batman took out the last one. Going back to the cell, they scanned Stag's fingerprints before following them to the bottom floor and to Stagg who was hiding in a vent under the floor.

"Come here!"

"Please don't hurt me!" Stagg said as Batman slammed him against the wall.

"Tell us how to stop the Cloudburst or so help me, I will hold you responsible for every person Scarecrow has killed."

"It's surrounded by a Nimbus field. It helps spread the toxin, amplify the effects. Any vehicles not using a Nimbus cell will be fried."

Stagg explained as Naruto used his vision and saw two cylinders in a tank beside them. He took out two showing green glowing liquid in them before Batman put Stagg in a cage. "Wait here. We'll take you to G.C.P.D. when the Cloudburst's offline."

Naruto said as they walked to the door.

"Alfred. Stagg's given us a way to take on the Cloudburst Tank." Batman said into his communicator.

"Given? How kind."

"We're heading back to the cars. We need to fit this Nimbus cell on the cars."

"But, sir. Crane's toxin can be absorbed through the suits fibers. If you go out, there's no telling what could happen."

"We'll have to risk it." Naruto said as they went out the door.

Gotham City; Founder's Island October 31, 22:06 EST.

After fixing the cars, the duo went to the church on the island looking for another tree for Ivy after she told them she needed it to get rid of the Cloudburst.

"Ivy, we need to go underground to get the tree." Naruto said as Ivy came up on his screen.

"Hurry!"

They drove to the sewers and went down and destroyed the tanks in their way.

Later, after destroying another group of tanks, they found the roots and hit a large sonic blast to wake the tree up. Vines came out and pulled their cars up to the surface with them. Large flowers bloomed from it as it went above the Cloudburst storm and Naruto saw 40 tanks coming towards them.

"SHIT!"

Naruto and Batman both went into tank mode as two very large missile launchers dropped down on the grounds before Naruto hack both of them, having 30 tanks get hit. Naruto and Batman each shoot their missiles, getting the last ten before hearing the Knight challenge him to fight her on the other Island.

Gotham City; Miagani Island, October 31, 22:29 EST.

Kage dropped down by the tree Ivy was in after beating the Cloudburst Tank and once again, the driver was someone else.

"Ivy!" The tree opened up, showing only one clone holding a weak looking Ivy. Naruto groaned as the veins on his face turned black for a second before disappearing.

"Good Lord, Kit! This was some serious stuff!" Kurama said as he took care of the blowback from the three clones.

Ivy grabbed the orbs as both clones poured their energy into her and she screamed. "AAHH!"

The flowers exploded in dandelion seeds that poured out, dispersing the cloud. Naruto caught Ivy who groaned as her veins slowly started to turn back to normal.

"Nature... Always wins." She fainted in his arms having Naruto pick her up bridal style before walking to the edge of the building.

"I'll take Ivy to the studios. Then, we go after Scarecrow."

(Flashback End.)

Naruto E. sighed as he walked out of the room, putting the picture back.

Gotham City March 21, 17:38 EDT.

A clone of Naruto stood with Artemis, Jade who's holding Lin, Paula in her wheelchair, and Wally as they stared at the tombstone in front of them.

'Stephanie Brown.

Beloved Daughter.'

Naruto looked over to Jade before speaking. "You okay, honey?"

"I told you, no pet names. And yes, I am." She replied looking away, and narrowed her eyes.

As they looked at the stone, and placed flowers on it, they missed Arthur and Lawrence looking on from the woods.

Ivy Town March 21, 19:15 EDT.

Conner was reading a book as he sat on a bench outside his college.

"Hey there, birthday boy!" Conner blinked as a birthday hat was placed on his head. He looked to see Wendy blow a party favor in his face before sitting down on the bench beside him.

"Oh, hey Wendy."

"So. how old are you?"

"Six."

She blinked at that as he quickly took the hat off.

"Uh... I meant 22, I turn 22 at 6:00 P.M. exactly."

"Well, at either age, you don't really look that different from the day we met. Outside of growing taller. Donna's the same as well. Same for her father. Anything planned for today?"

"No, Donna's off to a bridal shower, and everyone is still in mourning of a friend who died recently."

She gasped at that before apologizing and continued to talk.

Dakota City March 21, 18:17 CDT.

"Recognized: Artemis, B01."

Artemis walked out of a phone booth and caught up to Zatanna and Megan who walked to a café where Cassie, Dinah, Barbara, Karen, Donna, Meg, and Raquel sat at a table. They sat down and toasted to Raquel as an armored truck stopped at the store in front of them.

Suddenly, ice covered them as Captain Cold slid down and went to the truck.

"Brag su rof elttab! (Garb us for battle!)"

Captain Cold looked back to see the Heroines in their costumes before they dashed to him.

Metropolis March 21, 19:33 EDT.

Kage, and both Green and Red Arrow stopped in front of Lexcorp where smoke was billowing from the top floor.

"No, I can't be too late. I can't have failed him again!" Green arrow said before Red pointed to the parking garage entrance/exit.

"No wait, look!"

They saw Speedy without his hat walk out holding a suitcase.

"Roy, you didn't." Green Arrow said as Speedy shook his head.

"No, I didn't kill him."

"What's in the case?" Red asked having Speedy smile and hold it up.

"Satisfaction."

"Roll credits." Naruto said getting the trio to look at him. "What?"

Speedy opened the case showing a black/silver mechanical arm.

Naruto stared at the arm, before glancing up to Speedy who took off his mask.

"Speedy died eight years ago. Call me... Arsenal."

"Wow, bad names really are genetic." Naruto said before they took their leave.
