My Sect Only Accepts Ordinary People

Ning Qi is a diligent young man, whose goal is to typically become a 'humble' billionaire so that he doesn't have to worry about anything anymore. But instead of the God of wealth, the God of luck strikes him on the head. He one day suddenly finds himself waking up from 'beloved' sleep with a 'Ding' in his mind. That day he got to know he latched onto the thigh of a powerful 'System' that will assist him on the road of 'Cultivation'. He knows that his peaceful life is about to turn upside down from then on. All his previous aspirations to become a 'Financially free bird', at this moment, felt utterly trashy for him. His current goals shifted to something, which he previously cowered away from the utter helplessness against them. A full future of 'dominance' flashed in front of his eyes and he genuinely felt that his new goals are not too challenging. Ning Qi knows, that he is about to be detached from this 'Ordinary' mortal world and even felt a bit sad about that fact. "System! You are with me on this, right? " He asked, as he geared up for the prosperous future ahead of him. But what Ning Qi doesn't know is the system that binds him doesn't merely require him to become a cultivator. It also wants to turn this entire earth into a cultivation world. As such, Ning Qi doesn't need to worry much about departing from the ordinary world. When he contacts his longtime colleagues or lifelong friends or even someone who he merely met once or twice the next time, he may need to cordially greet them as a "Fellow cultivator." Note: My Book may be a bit slower than what many familiar readers expect from such a system-based novel. And also, I'm not a professional editor... Therefore, if you discover anything that can be modified, please add a specific comment to that paragraph. Much appreciated.

Failure

As Ning Qi sat in a lotus position, he closed his eyes and started feeling the time laws in the world.

"Hm! Even though, they felt quite intimate toward me. As expected, they aren't as thick as the laws in the time dimension." Ning Qi felt that these laws are moderate entities but at the same time, his rationality is instructing him that they are just stateless.

How can he, a fledgling that merely touched the tip of laws perceives the profound truths behind them?

"Nevermind! Let's attempt and see what happens If I were to implement them from the cellular structure." Ning Qi said to himself, quite thrilled about his idea.

As he can't employ what he gained on the upper surface of the body, Ning Qi wanted to try them from the inside and wanted to check what will happen.

Ning Qi closed his eyes and his maximum concentration is on guiding the law that he can manipulate to his use. He allow it to enter his body, but Ning Qi's body didn't even sense any discomfort. Correctly to say, he didn't even feel like it passed through his body and entered.

He then slowly guided that law to the cellular levels and he tried to engage it in a particular cell in his body, hoping that it will attach itself to the cell. But a similar thing happened, as he wasn't even able to graze it.

He didn't give up and started guiding it again and tried to enact that to that same cell. This process repeated around 30 or 40 times and Ning Qi felt quite exhausted mentally.

His actual idea is that if you are unable to apply to a bigger mass of living organisms or an entire being. He should start soliciting it from a single cell, and eventually be able to apply the law to his own body, before being able to change the body from one state to another state.

But those laws are behaving like 'We won't work like that, young man'. They are pretty easy to apply to an inanimate object, but once they come in contact with a biological organism, they are becoming invisible and pass through its cells or organs or overall, whatever that has a soul.

"You are all not cooperating with me at all! Why are you behaving like a girl who saw her crush?" Ning Qi couldn't help but start foolishly talking with them.

"I-If you help me now... I- I promise that I will propose to you, when I have at least half the age you, alright??" Ning Qi started peddling even more nonsense, ultimately causing a system that couldn't help but come out to stop this madness.

"Ding! Host, please restrain from making any of such vows in the future. Everything in this world retains some rules, and these laws will follow those rules. Vowing is one of the rules too, you will have some serious consequences, even If the host is making the vows without commitments. " System voice came out, making Ning Qi sober up a bit.

But he felt that the system is kinda too afraid of these vows. He isn't vowing to any living being, after all, laws are just stateless... they aren't even considered inanimate objects. They represent neither energy nor matter... how can the vows apply to them?

"The system knows what the host is thinking! But the host needs to restrain from making such vows from now on or else whenever the system finds that the host is about to make such vows, System will punish the host by making the host mute for one month." The system responded back, but there is kinda Icy cold intent in that voice this time.

For the very first time, Ning Qi experienced an abrupt change in the system voice. He knows he has struck some bottom line that the system has set itself for him. By the system's reaction, he knows that what he comprehends from these laws is extremely low for him to understand them.

Ning Qi completely sobered up, as he decided to heed the words of the system warning seriously. Now he is even more confused about whether these laws are either entities, who follow rules or someone caused them or even more absurd that they are living beings, that developed some kind of intelligence.

Ning Qi shook his head, as he felt that he is too far from something of that level. In all respects, when Ning Qi is about to give up his research, the system's voice sounded again.

"Host! Compress the laws." The system only advised a particular word, before going mute again.

Ning Qi thought for a moment and clicked his tongue in wonder, as to why he couldn't think of such a straightforward thing. The laws on the time dimension are denser than the laws on the earth. That means these laws can be compressed to a level where they can become more compact too.

Then the denser they become, the easier for anything to be able to contact them. Just like a vapor that is hard to contain, one can never be capable to hold that in their hand by gripping it.

The next phase of it is water, which can be touched and even be able to hold openly, but still not like ice, which can just be pinched in between your fingers directly.

The denser the molecules the harder the entity will become and it is more effortless to hold on to. That is what Ning Qi understood from the system suggestion.

But that arises one more critical question for Ning Qi. Why the laws can be enforced on inanimate objects without the need to compress them?

"Ding! Host, Every living being consists of a soul, which itself consists of strong rules, and isn't easy for any other laws to influence their laws without strong effort. Not to mention the soul, there are many other laws and rules incorporated in a human, for example, a male human being consists of a Yang attribute, and a female human being also consists of a strong yin attribute. " System said slowly, making Ning Qi even more confused.

Ning Qi understood what the system saying is true. But! According to him, even those non-living entities contain some attributes. Doesn't that mean, they in addition have those attributed laws in them? For example gold, stones... etc. Almost all of them have certain attributes right?

"Ding! It is as the host thought! But none of those objects support Life, death, soul, Yin-yang, reincarnation, and many other laws. All those mentioned laws are accompanied by a particular biological organism. Notably, those laws of life, death, soul, yin-yang, and reincarnation laws are considered to represent superior laws in the Grand laws. Such laws won't accept other laws to submit them easily and when all these laws are inside one being, no other laws will try to disrupt the rules of these laws. So, The host needs to make your law strong enough to manipulate all those laws. "

The system explained slowly, while Ning Qi pondered for a moment, before comprehending everything.

"Aha! That's how it is! Hm... it's excellent that I have you to guide me. Let me attempt and compress them first." Ning Qi said to the system and wanted to communicate with the laws again. But instantly felt the exhaustion knocking him.

"Ding! Host mental energy is almost empty! The system suggests that the host take sufficient rest before trying once more." System voice sounded, finally making Ning Qi open his eyes.

He knows this first attempt of his a failure, but he at least found a way to his path. He looked around the area, but all he perceives was pure black, confusing him a bit.

Ning Qi instantly understood that it is at present nighttime. He marveled how it went that fast like he felt it merely underwent an hour or so.

'This is what those disciples experience daily, right? Is this equally considered a form of cultivation?' Ning Qi thought, as those disciples once close their eyes, they will only wake up 4 or 5 hours later, which consistently makes him wonder how they are able to endure it for such long periods.

'grrrr grrrr'

Ning Qi's stomach grumbled a bit as he didn't consume anything from the morning. But as the foundation establishment realm cultivator, he can easily sustain himself for at least 5 to 6 days without any food, and Ning Qi doesn't have any desire to 'hunt and barbeque'. As such he decided to take some rest, even though he felt hungry.

Ning Qi applies some spiritual energy to his eyes and quickly scans the area to examine if there are any dangerous individuals closer to his location. After not founding anyone under his eye range, Ning Qi slowly held onto the tree trunk, before falling asleep.

If it was before he becomes a cultivator, he would have never dared to sleep like this. No! He would have never dared to sleep on the streets, not to mention in the forest, which is eerily quiet.
