She was about to ask who paid the bill, but immediately guessed it must have been Ashton Heath.

He had said that he would treat everyone tonight.

Although she guessed it was him, Joanna Lawrence still sent him a message: Was it you who paid the bill at the banquet?

Joanna was about to send another message to ask if he had dinner, but his call came in.

She answered it.

"Yes, we just finished. Have you eaten?"

"Not yet." Ashton Heath said, "The little brats are having too much fun to eat. They'll probably have to eat late-night snacks later."
