Chapter Sixty-Three: He Who Escapes Peril

"Manager, what's wrong with you?" Betty looked at Chen Ze with a puzzled face.

Chen Ze's condition was indeed not very good; he seemed completely dazed—Betty had just watched as he nearly sliced off his finger.

This made Betty quite curious, as Chen Ze seldom had such problems. He had always been very serious and meticulous when cooking.

"Ah? It's nothing," Chen Ze shook his head. He felt that talking about this matter with Betty was pointless, after all, she was a demon in his world.

"Okay." Betty shook her head, keeping an eye on Chen Ze surreptitiously. She didn't want to have to look for another job.

"Betty, do you know... know if there's something that can control people's nightmares?" Chen Ze hesitated, but still asked.

"Control nightmares? Quite a few demons in our clan can do such a thing," Betty said, not mentioning that she herself could too, but a Succubus's abilities usually made people have indescribable dreams.
