As they were eating, out of the corner of Uncle Tek's eyes he could sense danger approaching, he quickly placed some money on the table to pay for his food and left as soon as possible.

Ru Ran who was on high alert, wanted to get up as well but held down by Ji Yu. He bend down closer to lean into her and whispered into her ear, "Don't worry my men will ensure Uncle Tek safety. Uncle Tek left because he did not want to attract trouble for you."

Less than a second, a group of men came rushing by.

"Damn that old uncle is fast, but how come not even a shadow of that boy? We waited like idiots at their home but no sign of them. Luckily, Mike said he saw that old man eating here," said one guy.

His voice was the same voice that came looking for her in the alley.

The two men who were chatting passed by them. Her heart was beating fast and she gripped his hand tighter. She relaxed a little once they were walking further away. Her grip on his hand loosened.

Suddenly, the two men came back and touched her shoulder. Shen Ji Yu immediately stood up and brushed the fat man's hand off Ru Ran's shoulder and he immediately positioned himself in front of her, in a stance that he is ready to attack or defend at any moment. His face turned serious and extremely cold.

"Chill bro! Your girlfriend dropped her handkerchief. I helped her pick it up," the fat man immediately said while raising both of his arms. He quickly placed the handkerchief on the table. Ru Ran quickly grabbed the cloth and quickly kept in her pocket. She must have dropped it when she saw Uncle Tek left and saw the bunch of goon coming for him. Whenever faced with such stressful situation, she would find comfort in the handkerchief.

In his opinion, the man who was protecting his girlfriend was truly scary, he had a murderous aura and looks ready to pounce on him any minute. Who knew when he decided to do an act of kindness, he was treated this way. Life is really unfair, best not to meddle in people's business.

"Hey brother. Is that how you thank someone? Do you know who are we? Look at everyone else cowering away, we are not to be mess with. We own this street and you are on our turf. We helped your girlfriend and you are lucky we did not even charge you a single cent and here you are treating us with such hostile manner," said the skinny guy, the one who was called stupid earlier by the fat man during their encounter in the alley.

The fat man glared at the skinny guy who was gloating, he wanted to kick that stupid fool's mouth. This fool lack common sense on who not to provoke. He could sense this oriental chinese man is not someone to be messed with he sensed there is a lot of men in the dark ready to take action if this man in front of him were to give a signal.

"So what, if you own the street? You don't own me or my girlfriend. Anyhow, the street's name is Orchid, I did not know you have such a pretty name. I don't like strangers touching my girlfriend. I want to thank the kind gentleman for picking up my girlfriend's handkerchief and I would like to apologise for my hostility but I will not tolerate anyone else other than me touching my girl here. So, I suggest Mr Orchid, if you don't want trouble, I advice you to scram!" Shen Ji Yu said in his most dangerous tone, looking all cool and macho.

The girls who were watching the whole event unfold were practically drooling and admiration were obvious in their gaze, looking at him longingly.

Du Ru Ran continued to have her head hang low, not wanting to attract further attention, hoping those guys would just leave, she is afraid they might recognise her eventhough she is now a lady. Her facial features might cause them to put two and two together eventhough the probability is low. Plus it was fun acting all docile and meek, she wanted to see how her future husband handle this sort of situation.

"You! Just repeat again! Who are you calling Orchid?!!!" said the skinny guy with his index finger pointing at Shen Ji Yu's chest. His face distorted and his veins all bulging at his neck.

"I spoke such perfect English just now, or was my Chinese accent too thick that you barely understood me? Do I need to speak slooowweeerrr?" Shen Ji Yu said while dragging out his last words and without warning, he took the skinny guy's finger and twisted it in a way that his wrist was bent backward, a loud sound of snap could be heard.

The skinny guy was crying in pain and looking at his mate, the fat guy for help. The fat guy quickly said, "I am sorry for disturbing your meal, I should have just placed the handkerchief on the table instead of placing my hand on your girlfriend's shoulder. I felt she was familiar at once glance hence, I tried to get her attention but at second glance she is not someone I know off. I will take this friend of mine away. Sorry once more!" he said as he dragged the skinny guy who was howling in pain at the same time he was scolding his stupid friend for offending the dangerous man. Today is truly a day where he had no place to put his face. So shameful. He could hear the crowd cheering and jeering as they left. Big boss is not going to be happy when he hears this. Thanks to this fool, he will suffer as well and he is not looking forward to it.

Shen Ji Yu sat down as he checked on her ensuring she does not have a single bruise or mark on her. The ladies around once again sigh at such display of affection, then glaring at their partners, and those without a partner could only pray that their luck would soon change and find a good specimen man like the one in front of them.

Ru Ran only beamed at him and patted his arms praising him like she would of a dog who had done a good job. He then grin at her and pointed a finger on his cheek. She understood perfectly what exactly he wanted so she got up and leaned over and gave him a quick peck on the cheek he just pointed but he turned his face and the kiss landed on his lips instead. He hungrily gave her a deep kiss causing everyone to gawk in surprise. Such fierce display of affection.
