Suddenly, Mike noticed something shiny on the ground. He walked forward and picked the button that Dina pulled out of Adrian's shirt. He turned it around and noticed that it had a weird symbol carved above it.
Anyone who noticed the button would have thought that it was any other normal design. But Mike knew that it doesn't belong to any normal person. He twisted and turned to examine it further.
He still could not figure out what actually happened that day. 'Did Dina get into a fight with someone? But when she was drunk she was not someone who would lose the fight easily.' He wondered.
He suddenly recalled that when she came back to their boutique the next day, she was not wearing the same clothes as the previous day. Instead, she wore a dress that was not her usual style.
'She always hated to wear such sexy types and would not prefer to wear such dresses. Unless something happened to her clothes and she didn't have any other option but to wear it.' He thought.
When Benjamin noticed his son picking something from the mud below, he hurriedly came near him.
"What dirt are you picking from the ground? Throw it away," Benjamin complained while knitting his eyebrows.
"No, Dad. Look, it's a clue. I am sure that Dina was here that night and she got into a fight with someone at this same place. Look at this button that I found. This button must belong to someone she fought with. It even has a symbol carved in it. Have you ever seen such design before?" Mike asked and brought the button in front of his face.
"Keep that dirt away from me. I don't understand why you are even worried about Dina. Nothing will happen to her. Also, the night is still young and we are just wasting our time here. Let's go back into the night club and find our clues over there. Didn't you say earlier that you met her inside the nightclub? What if someone inside that bar took her away and they had a one night stand?" Benjamin inquired.
"That's also possible but I still think you should check this button once," Mike said and once again lifted the button.
But Benjamin didn't look at it and turned his head away. He swiftly walked into the nightclub and disappeared from his sight.
Mike sighed and looked at the alley once before he walked behind his father. He knows that it would be difficult to make him concentrate on the work unless his father's thirst is quenched.
Just when he was about to enter the club, the security guard he met the other day stopped him.
"Sir, were you able to find that madam with the weird hat that day?" He asked.
"Yes, I did!" Mike replied to him.
"Thank goodness. We were all worried as one of my colleagues said he saw her being taken into the taxi by someone else. He was sure that it was not you. Good thing, I met you today and finally could find out that the madam is safe," The security guard smiled and tried to walk away.
Mike was stunned for a minute but then reacted quickly and held the security guard's hand.
"Wait! Did you say someone saw that man who took Dina away?" He inquired.
"So, did the madam not come back home and it was not you, who took her that day? But sir, didn't you say just now that you found her? Then why are you asking like it was someone else who took the madam? Did something happen to her?" The security guard asked with concern.
Mike ignored his questions and asked, "Is your colleague, who noticed that guy who took Dina away in a shift today?"
"Yes, sir! He must be coming in an hour. But sir, is something serious happening to the madam? She was even good at that time to us and tipped us generously." The security guard revealed the reason for his concern at last.
"Alright, this is my phone number. Call me once he comes into the shift. I have to meet him," Mike said and stuffed a big note into the security guard's pocket.
"Yes, sir. I will do that," The security guard immediately saluted and agreed to him.
Mike dashed into the nightclub and searched the area for any trace of his father. Finally, after searching for almost fifteen minutes, he found his father chatting happily with the same sexy waitress, who gave her phone number to him the other day.
"Dad, what are you doing here?" Mike asked through his gritted teeth.
Before his father could answer him, the bartender who had been leaning her body towards Benjamin moved back straight away and asked,
"I have been waiting for your call for a long time now. Didn't you say you will drop your friend home and come back? You promised me a dinner date and you cheated me," She complained and pouted her mouth.
Mike looked at her with irritation and then glared at his father.
"What? What did I do? It was you, who cheated on her and not me. Look at how sad you made her" Benjamin mouthed those words to him and caressed the woman's cheeks.
Mike hit his father's hands and muttered, "There is one witness who saw Dina being taken away by some guy. If we could find that man then we can stop Dina's grandmother from taking her away from here."
"Why should we do that?" Benjamin asked and continued to flirt with the bartender.
"Dad, if you don't get a grip on yourself, then you are leaving me with no choice. I will call mom and tell her what you are doing here," Mike warned him.
"Call her. Who is scared of her?" Benjamin ignored his warning and took a sip of the drink the sexy bartender prepared for him.
"Mmm... This tastes heavenly… It must be because this drink was prepared by a sexy lady like you…" Benjamin said to the bartender and made her blush.
"That's it!" Mike lifted his phone and dialed his mother's phone number.
"Alright! Enjoyment time is over. Let's get to work," Benjamin slammed the glass on the table and stood up.
"Let's go, party spoiler…" He held Mike's collar and brought him out of the night club.
"So where is this witness you are talking about?" Benjamin asked Mike.
"He will be here soon," Mike said while looking around him.
He couldn't find the security guard, who he spoke with earlier. He walked near another security guard and asked, "Where is the guy whom I met sometime back? Did he leave for the day?"
"Which guy? I am the only one who is in a shift today," He answered.
"What? But I just met him a few minutes ago. He looks like a little short and a stout guy with a thin mustache." Mike said.
"There is no one with that description who works here. We don't hire short and stout guys as it would be difficult for them to maintain the order in this place. We need bouncers and super fit guys who can…" Mike didn't stay there to listen to his explanation.
"What happened?" Benjamin asked with a smile.
"He… I… Nothing…" Mike shook his head and looked down at his feet.
