Chapter Four

Excited about my new pokemon, I let Vulpix out of her pokeball.

"Mom, can I call Evey and send Joce? a text?" I asked.

Mom unlocked her phone, and handed it to me. "Yes. But I'm setting a timer for twenty minutes and you better not go on any other apps!"

I nodded and dashed to my room.

Izzy: Joce! Guess what?

Joce: Hmm?

Izzy: I got two new pokemon today!

Joce: Really? How?

Izzy: Well, I found a egg in my room. Laid by espeon, and it was a shiny Sylveon! And then I found a wild Vulpix which snuck into the house!

Joce: Nice.

Izzy: How's Rockruff? Make any new pokemon friends?

Joce: No. Rockruff is hard to train!😩

Izzy: He's a puppy Pokemon. They have a playful personality, right?

Joce: Yeah! Unless we are talking about Barlow, who doesn't know how to play well.

I rolled my eyes. Barlow is a rescue pokemon. A rockruff.

Izzy: She does! Sorta....

Joce: Gtg before Rockruff chews my pillows!

Izzy: 😮 I'll call u on face time.

I closed texting and called her, setting up a chat with Evey, Joce, and I.

Evey's face appeared on the screen. Behind her were her rambunctious brothers and her buneary.

Joce's appeared next, with her Rockruff.

"Hi Evey!" I said. "Meet Joce! She's having a problem with Rockruff."

Evey waved. "Hi!"

"SOo, you are Izzy's other bff?" Joce joked.

I laughed nervously. "Anyway, Evey is a Pokemon expert!"

"Not really..." Evey blushed.

Joce held her Rockruff in her lap. "He won't listen to me no matter what. He's destroying my stuff!"

Evey bit her lip. "Hmm... Maybe he's lonely."

"He tried to eat vanillite!" Joce explained.

"How about a Levanny? Or Jigglypuff?" I asked.

Evey smiled. "Exactly."

Joce nodded. "I'll try that. Thanks!"

"Bye!"
