7: NEW MISSION

SAM'S POV

'Come to my office at 8:00 am sharp.'

I slid my phone back to my pocket saka agad ng sumakay sa sasakyan ko. I wonder why Michael wanted me in his office now. I just hope na meron na'kong new case ngayon. An exciting case than the last case I handled. I drove back here yesterday, not wanted to spend my time with my nagging aunt na lagi nalang akong kinukulit to date her friend's son.

Dios mio! That was why I don't want to stay there that long because for sure, my aunt would be so persuasive para lang magkalovelife ako.

And that would never gonna happen...Because the moment I get what I really wanted here, I'm going to disappear without a trace..

I quickly shrugged those thoughts then just focused on driving. In just 10 minutes of driving, I arrived at the agency. So excited to hear about my case.

And I hope this doesn't involved with someone na katulad no'ng last time na pumunta ako rito. Someone with a granite head and full of blackmails in his system.

Once I get to Michael's office, kumatok agad ako saka pumasok when I heard him said to come in.

"Good morning, sir." I greeted habang palapit sa desk nito while looking around his office. Checking if may ibang tao na naman kaming kasama rito and good thing na wala naman.

"Have a sit, Javier." He said and I complied.

"May case na ba'ko sir?" tanong ko agad rito.

"ahuh." Sabi naman nito with a nod before he handed me a folder, probably the information regarding with my new case.

"Open it."

I excitedly opened it then I was greeted with SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE sa first page palang nito.

Jusko naman!

Related na naman pala 'to with some sex-starve prick!

Well, atleast, hindi na about cheating case.

Shrugging, Binasa ko nalang ang mga information na nasa loob nito.

Offender: Frederico Asuncion, 48 years old, Chief administrative officer of Enriquez Construction Company---

Shit! ECC again? Goodness, pagkatapos ng DFCS, eto na naman ngayon?

Argh!!

"Any problem with that case, Javier?" he asked, probably heard me groaned.

"No sir." I answered while mentally shaking my head then continued with my reading.

Victim: Lauren Garcia, 25 years old, secretary of the offender before the incident takes place.

Geez with this horny old man. Buti naman naglakas loob ang victim na'to to file a case against this evil horny man. Sighing out, I stopped reading and decided to just continue that later.

"I want you to investigate this case, Javier. The client wanted to solve this case ASAP and to do that, kailangan mong kumuha ng concrete evidence against the offender to strengthen their case. That man has strong connections even in law. Have a thorough research on him again and do your best. Lahat ng issues nya ay hindi lumalabas sa media so find any possible ways to collect additional informations about him."

Yes, indeed. And I'm gonna do that by hook or by crook.

Then I stood up with the file in my hand.

"I'll take my leave now, sir."

When he nodded, agad na'kong umalis and headed outside to where I had parked my car.

Tinignan ko uli ang folder sa kamay ko as I get in to my car. I think now's the best time to start this case. Especially when this horny Frederico man was powerful. But who cares if he was? To hell with that horny old man! Kailangan nyang pagbayaran ang kalibugan nya and before I drove off from there, I opened that file again.

Offender's details: past cases were either dismissed without charges or dropped before the trial saying the accusement was false report and no concrete evidence had presented---

So ganun-ganun nalang? Bloody maniac! I'm certain they have paid those judges who had handled his past cases para baliktarin ang lahat ng kaso nito and make that maniac innocent.

Well, let see kung anong magagawa nya once I slap the evidence he want on his disgusting face. It could've been better if I'd just cut off his balls and let it be eaten with piranhas once I would get my hands on him. Let's see kung maglalakas loob pa itong gumawa ng kalokohan.

Shaking my head off, I continued reading the information.

So even Garcia's case been dismissed pero umapela naman ang mga ito and this time, they want to fight with solid evidence.

And yes, we'll gonna do that. Don't worry, Ms. Garcia. Susugpuin natin ang pesteng manyak na yan sa buhay nating mga babae.

Then I throw that file on the seat beside me then started driving.

It would be better if I start this case in my apartmen and study this case carefully to hatch a plan on how to catch this man without even giving him the chance to get away from this.

If they can play that dirty, might as well play as dirty as them then by performing some illegal things...illegal but useful in cases like this.

I looked around the insides of the restaurant, observing the place and people. Medyo marami-rami na rin ang mga customers dito ngayon.

The interior décor inside really compliment its name, 'THE DELUXE Restaurant'.

The place itself screamed luxury and shit! I must've appeared like an alien right now just wearing my usual jacket and jeans outfit compared sa mga tao rito.

Goodness! I should've atleast wore a damn dress and heels again. 'Di bale ng masakit sa paa atleast, useful naman ito as a weapon.

Oh, bother. Never mind about my outfit, as long as I'll succeed with this mission. I know this is illegal but again, I don't care. These men even abuse the law so they don't deserve my conscience. With that thought, I focused my mind back to my task.

Sa kabila, lots of tables for four or two people arranged in line while the other side were the VIP rooms.

Great place.

Of course, pipiliin nila ang lugar na'to with private rooms like this where they'd secretly meet and close their deals.

Bloody wise evil men.

Umupo na'ko agad sa vacant seat malapit sa entrance ng mga private rooms rito. And from here, kita ko kung sino man ang pumapasok sa restaurant na'to. When my phone vibrated inside my pocket, I quickly received that call.

"Confirmed. Magkikita nga sila diyan today at 3:00 pm sa usual room nila. VIP room 5..."

I glanced at my wristwatch to check the time. It says I still have 15 minutes to do what I need to do before they'd arrive here.

"Bloody people. I think they're gonna talk about the case your client had filed against him, Sam. Be careful. Matinik ang mga taong 'to. They even threatened the other victims before to silence them at 'di malabong gagawin rin nila 'yon sayo----"

"Let's see kung sinong mauunang tumumba samin, Al. Your concerns are unnecessary. I know what I'm doing so no need to remind me that." I cut him off while rolling my eyes.

I could be reckless sometimes but not dumb enough to let them ruin my mission.

I heard Allan sighed from the other line before he answered.

"Okay, fine. Just do it properly, okay?."

"Never pa kong pumalpak, Al and you know that. I'll end this call---"

"Sam, wait!"

I stopped and wait for him to talk.

"May event na ihahandle mamayang gabi ang ECC, 7:00 pm at alam mo na kung anong pwedeng mangyari sa ganyang event.."

Yes. Alam na alam ko. At kailangan kong pigilan 'yon bago pa man may mabiktima na naman ang manyak na 'yon. Pero pa'no ba'ko makakapasok sa party na'yon?

"Pwede mo ba'kong kunan ng invitation card, Al?"

"Titingnan ko. Fundraising ang event na 'yon so I'm certain, invited halos lahat ng tao na may kinalaman sa business."

"Okay, Al. Thank you. Bye for now."Then with that, I ended that call and slid it back to my pocket.

I just hope he could find a way para makakuha ng invitation card.

I called him yesterday to do some favor for me after I collected a few additional informations regarding with my case. And thank God, agad naman nitong nakuha kung anong kailangan ko.

I couldn't help but smirked at that as memories a few days ago flashed through me.

I quickly access the Police database. I know this is illegal but to hell with that. So long as they won't know it, it was fine.

Napataas agad ang kilay ko when I search for Frederico Asuncion's case, halos bumaha ang records nito sa screen ng pc ko.

Sikat nga talaga ang gagong 'to.

Accused by 15 women. Most cases were either closed as false report or dismissed without charges....

No physical evidence presented so the judge dismissed the case.

...All cases was handled by judge Roel Agustos..

I scrolled down the screen and then a few photos of past victims appeared with bruises and cuts in their bodies.

I shook my head just thinking about those victims when their cases was dismissed without charges. I can't just let this passed without even punishing this man.. That's the least that I could do for them.

And I know where I should start this case.

Judge Agustus.

With a smirk still pasted in my mouth, I picked up my phone then dialed Allan's number. He's the tech genious between us so I know, he can help me with this..

After a few rings, he answered.

"Do me some favor, Al."

"Yeah, sure. Ano 'yun?" alerto namang sagot nito hearing my serious voice.

"Please have a close surveilance with judge Roel Agustos. May kinalaman siya sa new case ko ngayon. He was connected in my case and to my suspect, Frederico Asuncion. That's his name. I want to know their text and call conversations or even cctv footages na connected sa dalawang 'to. I'm sure, makakatulong yon sa'kin."

"Judge Roel Agustos and Frederico Asuncion. Okay. Copy. Just give me till tonight, Sam. Malalaman mo ang kailangan mo before tomorrow. I'll just email it to you."

I was able to let out a sigh of relief when I heard that.

And true to his words, before 6:00pm, I received his email. May mga text and call conversations and even photos of them from cctv footages. Trust Allan to give me the important details na useful sa'kin.

I checked the photos. Hindi sila magkasama sa iisang photo pero pareho naman silang papasok sa iisang lugar. Only minutes was the time difference ng pagpasok ng dalawa sa restaurant na'yon. And the surprising thing ay pumapasok sila sa establishment na yon days or the day before every trial.

I compared the date when the video footage was taken and the texts and calls. Yes, indeed. Nagcocoincide nga ang mga 'to.

And good thing, they have a recent texts convo, kahapon palang ito. Kung siniswerte ka nga naman..

Asuncion: Meet up, Tuesday,3pm, same place.

Agustos: ok....

Asuncion: They're going to hire a P.I.

Agustos: wala silang makikita

Asuncion: find that person and stop him..

Agustos: I will..

Halos humiwalay ang mga kilay ko sa noo ko when I read that but then smirked at that anyway.

Magkikita sila tomorrow, probably mag-uusap kung pa'no lulusutan ang case ng client ko. Hmm, Okay. One last favor Allan.

I quickly typed in a reply on his email.

'recheck if sa restaurant ng nasa photos ba sila magmemeet tomorrow.' Then after that, I turned off my pc.

Napapailing na lamang ako as I thought about those memories.

When I spotted a waitress coming to my way, I quickly pasted a smile on my face. With the look on her face, mukhang naghihinala ito.

Well, hindi ko naman ito masisisi. Sa suot ko ba namang 'to, nagmumukha akong goon sa lugar na'to than a customer.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. May order na po ba kayo?" she greeted with her raised eyebrow.

With raised eyebrow talaga? Shall I kill this woman instead? Don't stop me, please.

I quickly shrugged those thoughts off my mind and just answered her.

Now's not the time to kill some suspicious waitress.

"I'll just take my order later. By the way, may available private room pa ba kayo rito?" I asked with my fake smile still pasted on my face..

The waitress just looked at me with her still raised brow.

Pwede ko bang kalbuhin nalang ang eyebrow nyang yan? I think maganda---

Before I could even finish my thoughts, she answered.

"Wala na ma'am. Nakareserve na po ang last vacant room kanina for three pm meeting.."

Oh, 3:00 pm meeting..hmm.. lemme guess, ito yung VIP room 5 ano?...

"Kung gusto nyo po ng VIP room dito, magpareserve nalang po muna kayo ma'am."

"Kung 3:00pm pa gagamitin ang VIP room na 'yon then that means wala pang gumagamit nito ngayon right?" I asked her with my clasped hands before me to look more serious and important.

Goodness, I didn't know I have to try hard to look like this.

"Well, I think so...ma'am..pero---"

I stopped her before she could even finish her refusals.

"I am planning to check your VIP room if it was okay for a dinner meeting with my friends next week. Okay lang ba?"

She furrowed her brows, she seems unconvinced with it.

"I think medyo maliit po ang VIP room namin dito for your di---"

"Dalawa lang ang friend ko so I think kakasya kami rito. Can I atleast check that-----" I wasn't able to continue whatever nonsense I had to say when my eyes catches some familiar man at the entrance of this restaurant.

Someone like a granite head that I don't even want to see here.

Fuck with this perfect timing!

And to my utter annoyance, Mr. del Fuero with his oh-so arrogant presence stopped on his track nang makapasok ito sa lugar na'yon and then start scanning the place inside with his sharp eyes. He was probably looking for someone na imemeet nya rito. And before he could even spot me here, I quickly turned around.

I don't want to ruin my plan here with this man recognizing me.

"I-I think wala na po tayong oras to even check that room now ma'am." I was pulled out with my thoughts when the waitress inyerrupted that.

With raised eyebrow, I checked the time bago ito sinagot.

"We still have 10 minutes to do that."

"pwede rin namang after 3pm meeting nyo nalang po gawin yan---"

"No. Nagmamadali ako, miss. Let's go and check it now. Madali lang 'to." I snapped at her with firm voice and good thing, she understood my message dahil agad naman itong tumango.

"Y-Yes maam. Basta madali lang po 'to ma'am huh?" She finally said. Sure. Madaling-madali lang 'to. Pero hindi ko na 'yon sinabi sa kanya. Instead, I just nodded at her then followed her lead.

After a few quick turns, we get to VIP room 5. Agad ko ng binuksan ito without waiting for the waitress. After all, I am their potential VIP customer here.

Medyo maliit nga ang room na'to for big parties but the interior designs screamed money. Expensive painting hanged on the walls with a brass metal smiling face mask sa gilid nito. Two king chairs and a black sofa around the table in the center with two flower pots sa bawat gilid ng sofang 'yon.

So ganito pala ka bongga ang meeting place ng dalawa?

I nodded my head in satisfaction as I scanned the room inside while searching for a nice spot to hide something na 'di malalaman ng mga narito.

Chairs, no. sofa, no. pillows, no. flower pots, no.. painting, hmm, no. But the mask? yes..

I quickly took the thumb sized thing inside my pocket then walked closed to the painting na nakaharap sa settings ng upuan sa gitna. Pretending to check the mask with the waitress on my heels.

"M-Ma'am, I think kailangan na nating lumabas-" I quickly held up my hand to stop her and good thing, tumahimik naman ito.

"2 minutes more. Saan galing ang mask na'to?" I asked while taking the mask with the bloody thing hidden in between my fingers.

"'Di ko po alam ma'am..pwede na po nyong ibalik yan ma'am.." she said, halatang kinakabahan saka lumingon-lingon sa pintuan, probably checking kung may tao ba.

Good. Thanks for that chance. Then I quickly placed it sa likod ng kaliwang mata ng mask, just enough na makalabas ang lens nito sa small opening ng mata nito and to capture the happenings inside clearly.

Done. Then agad ko ng ibinalik ito sa wall before the woman could catch me.

"Ma'am, let's go---"

"yeah, sure. Let's go." Putol ko sa kanya saka nauna ng naglakad papunta sa pinto. I smirked when I heard her let out a loud sigh. Probably relieved na aalis na'ko.

Well, I am done with it girl and I thank you for that!

With a few long strides, nakalabas agad ako sa room na 'yon with the waitress still following behind me. Before I took my leave, I turned to her way then smiled at her. Another fake smile.

"Thank you for that. I hope atin-atin lang 'to kasi ayokong malaman ng friends ko ang dinner plan ko rito. It's a surprise dinner for all of us so I hope you can keep this a secret from anyone. Can you do that?." I asked in a straight forward manner with a hopeful eyes.

She seems a bit surprise and hesitant looked but she smiled and nodded at me anyway.

"Good. I'll go now." then without waiting for her answer, I turned to walk out from this place. Finally relieved na nagawa ko na ang first move ko.

Let's see judge Agustos kung magagawa mo pang idismiss ang case ng client ko. I couldn't help but smirked just the thought of their funny reaction later on. I'm sure hindi agad 'yon papayag to make a deal with me and probabl----

"Stop!" I stopped on my tracks when I heard that firm voice from behind me.

Shit! Don't tell me?.... I couldn't help but tightly closed my eyes then groaned with frustrations just the thought of the possibilty.

The possibility of him spotting me here. 

Oh shit! Damn with that sharp eyes!
