First Quest

'Half Devil?' Eric's eyes widened in disbelief when he saw the words written in front of his race.

After a long while, he took a sharp breath. 'Fortunately, I look perfectly human; otherwise, I would have been killed by now.'

Then his expression turned grim. 'However, I'm sure there will be some changes, especially when I start becoming stronger. I will have to be careful.'

After a moment, his gaze moved down and he saw the bloodline section.

'A dormant bloodline, huh?' Despite knowing this bloodline was most likely related to his half-devil part and thus he might not be able to use it openly, he couldn't help but become excited.

Even though he was just a bottom feeder and didn't have the luxury to study properly, thanks to his varied jobs and his strong interest in cultivation, he had gained quite a bit of knowledge on various subjects about cultivation, something most people in his situation were unaware of.

He knew what a bloodline was and how helpful it was to a cultivator. 

Not only did it make a cultivator stronger by giving him special abilities, it also increased the cultivator's natural cultivation talent and helped overcome the bottlenecks in cultivation. 

This was why most of the strongest cultivators in the world possessed bloodlines, or so he heard.

However, just like every precious or significant thing, very few people, less than one percent, had a bloodline.

Though he knew since he got this information from people who could be considered novice in the cultivation world, the chances were it wasn't accurate. Still, this told him just how rare a bloodline was.

But he had one… So, he was happy.

Soon he finished reading all his information. When he read the remark, he thought, 'Not for long.'

The next moment, he frowned and muttered, "But how is this system going to help me become stronger?"

Eric thought for a moment before he called out to the demon, wanting to ask for his suggestion, but he didn't get any response.

So, in the end, he took a deep breath and chose the latter. 'Let it guide and help me step by step.'

He thought about taking control of the system, but he wasn't sure he would be able to use it properly with his limited experience and worldview.

Eric unconsciously clenched his fists and almost stopped breathing in anticipation.

'What's a Dual Cultivator? Someone who cultivates both spirit energy and body?' He thought in confusion. This was the first time he had heard this term.

Eric wasn't too surprised when he saw this message because he already knew the system was facing the problem of lack of energy from the beginning.

'I just hope it doesn't cause any major problem.'

[Ding! You have been issued a quest.]

Immediately, his eyes lit up, and he waited for the quest to appear. If it was a quest, there had to be some sort of reward, probably something that would help him step foot on the cultivation path.

When the words changed, his expression froze.

[Quest: Have sex with a woman.]

[Rewards: Basic starter pack.]

[Basic starter pack: Contains things for the host to begin his cultivation journey. Additional rewards might be given based on the purity of the woman's yin energy.]

"Hey system, are you serious?" He questioned, his heartbeat increasing. He was a complete virgin and hadn't even kissed a girl. So, seeing the quest, he couldn't help but become nervous.

While he was hoping the system might have made a mistake and would change the quest, two more messages appeared on the screen.

[Time to finish the quest: 3 days.]

[Ding! If the host fails the quest, the system won't have any energy to work and would become inactive.]

'Damn, it is serious. How… perverted!'

"Argh!"

Just when Eric's thoughts were becoming chaotic, he heard a faint groan. 

Turning around, he saw Liam had woken up. Shortly after, Jake's eyelids twitched, and he also slowly opened his eyes.

Suppressing his thoughts about the quest for the time being, he moved over to them and asked, "You guys alright?"
