GIVE ME THE KEYS

We reached my car, at the parking lot. My car had a reserved parking lot, as I was there most of the time.

"Give me the keys"

I looked up at Jaxon, his hands stretched out. He was taller than me, I would barely reach his chest without my heels.

"You'll drive?"

"Yes, I can not let you drive right now"

Was he doubting my skills? I handed him the key. He opened the drivers door and sat in.

"Skylar you sit with him in front, I'll sit at the back" Noah said.

"Okay" I replied blushing, hoping Noah wouldn't see.

I went to the other side and sat down on the seat beside Jaxon. He started the car, I froze when I saw his hands on the gear. Slender but long fingers, I was guessing it was because his fingers were constantly at use. His palm same size as his fingers, I tried to imagine what my hands would look like in his, my hands were tiny, but my fingers were long, not long enough to be his size, but my hands would be half the size of his.

I was abruptly woken up by Jaxon's staring. I looked at him and then looked away as I felt heat and pigment rising up my cheeks. I wasn't sure but I think I saw him smiling.

We reached the venue of the party. All the Flash members wore the black mask.

"Finally, after soo many day we go to a party with girls" Ben said

"You went to parties with girls?" I blurted out.

"Noah's girlfriend invites us to parties." Kevin says.

"You should meet her sometime" Noah said smiling.

"Sure I would like to" I said.

"Avery, here wear this mask." Ben says holding out a black mask for Avery. She blushes. I smile.

I wasn't offered a mask, Ben was so into Avery he didn't see around him, Kevin and James checking out other girls, and Noah was on phone with his girlfriend.

We started to go towards the door, just as everyone entered, and I was going to enter, A hand held me back. I looked back to see Jaxon.

"What..."

"Wear this" he said handing out a black mask.

"Thanks..."

He nodded and joined the others inside, leaving me standing there. I soon went inside, and joined the others. Kevin came up to me and hanged his hands on my shoulders. And whispered in my ears.

"Be my date...as a friend...nothing more..." he said.

"Okay" I said laughing.

"Want a drink?" he asked.

"Yes" I said. I couldn't believe that in one day I was so close to my idols. I play video game...not too often but I think I'm good.

"Let's go" he said

I could feel Jaxon watching us. Noah went to get something and Ben was busy with Avery. James was lost somewhere in the party.

We went to the drinks stall.

"Do you like Jaxon?" Kevin asked.

I was shocked by the suddenness of the question. I looked up at him.

"Oh come on...I'm your friend. You can tell me"

I started to blush.

"Skylar, tell me" he was smirking.

"Ye...yes"

"I knew it! Need my help?"

"It's okay...I don't expect anything out of this"

"Well...I could invite you over and over again...saying you're my new best friend...which I hope can be real...And you could meet him again and again."

"My-My who thought such a cute face could be this clever....and of course we can be best friends...even if you don't want to pretend."

"So...you're agreeing?"

"Well?"

"I knew this too!!"

I started laughing. And stopped when Jaxon came up to us.

"What's making you laugh so much?" he was looking at Kevin but I knew he spoke to ME.

"Nothing, just found a new bestie, she's so cool" Kevin said, keeping his hands over my shoulder and pushing me in.

"Oh" Jaxon seemed amused.

JAXON

Kevin's new bestie...does this mean she'll come to the center often? I should be irritated but I felt quite happy.

"I'll get the car...We need to get back to the center. Keys." I said to Kevin and then tuned to Skylar.

I saw many guy staring and drooling over her. A new kind of feeling filled me. No one had noticed that we were The Flash...because many were wearing black masks.

"Umm...You all go...I and Avery will drop Kevin later." Skylar said.

"No" I said.

"Wha..."

"You're going home right now." I don't know why I said it possessively.

"Ok ok" she replied.

I took the car keys from her and went to get the car. When I returned, everyone was already out. This time, Ben, Avery and Skylar got into the car.

"Ben why isn't Noah here"

He answered me with silence. I chose to understand by myself and turned my head to the front. Once again I caught Skylar staring me. Under my mask, I smiled.

Skylar took off her mask.

"Umm...Let's drop Avery first." Skylar said.

"Okay"

We turned to drop Avery home, where she exchanged numbers with Ben, who was not at all trying to hide his interest for her. When he sat into the car he was grinning widely. Cafe Daffodil was quite far from Avery's house. At least, 20 mins. The other guys would directly go to the cafe.

Ben soon fell asleep tired from all the talking and dancing with Avery.

"So... I heard you're going for National Gaming Championship?"

"Yes" I answered shortly, which shed hadn't expected.

"How's the preparation?"

"Good"

"These guys are definitely hardworking...I guess?"

"Yes" I said chuckling.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Cuz, you said it first as if you knew they were hardworking and then suddenly you doubt it you said it right"

"Ohh...I didn't know you laughed" she said teasingly.

"Well you see, I can"

"Um...do you have a girlfriend?"

I froze to the sudden question. I turned my head to look at her.

"Sorry...I shouldn't have asked such a personal question"

"I don't"

"Huh?"

"I don't have a girlfriend, and I don't want one" I said abruptly.

"Ohhh..." she seemed disappointed and hurt.
