“No to mention, you guys didn’t even try to call me either! Back then, my parents’ home phone number was redirected towards the orphanage so people would be able to reach me, or at least the staff there in case anyone wanted to get in contact with me. However, except for our school calling the orphanage to talk about the official procedures related to my school transfer, there were nobody else who ever contacted me at that time.” Kane acted as though he was defending himself as he stared back at Leo, making it look like he was not the only one to blame about losing contact with each other.
“Ah… I’m sorry, I didn’t think about it like that.” Leo scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. “Since Hunter and I were elementary school kids back then, we did not even have our own phones.”
“You could have simply asked your parents or sneakily use the landline at your house when your parents are away or something.” Kane commented with a slightly look of disdain in his eyes.
