"I knew you would come."

The man before me gave me an annoying smile as he said in a happy tone.

We were currently on the roof of a building. The cold winter wind blew against my face as I faced the person before me. My eyes warily stayed on the person in order for me to react instantly to any moves he make. After all, I have no idea what he is going to do.

There were railings on the edges of the roof that stood at least 3 meters high, preventing people from jumping off. Originally, there was supposed to be a lock that prevents people from getting up to the roof to begin with. However, when I arrived here, the lock was already broken and thrown on the ground like a discarded piece of garbage.

"I'm actually quite surprised that you've come completely unarmed. Or do you have something underneath that shirt of yours?" The person smirked as he called towards me. Since it was quite a windy night, both of us needed to raise our voices in order to hear each other.
