I am still standing in my mother's bedroom with my mother. I am still thinking about how Angie decided to destroy my life. I start to wonder if I would have ever found out that I was adopted if she didn't say anything. I wonder if I would have ever found out that she had an affair with John.
That day that we were in the kitchen and she told me about her and John, I accepted it as just being a normal relationship after we broke up. She did not even care that she lied straight to my face and that day I saw the hatred in her eyes when she told me that I was adopted.
The only thing that keeps me happy is that my mother had no idea about what she was doing. I do not know what I would have done if my mother was in on it. I would not have this happy life that I have right now.
My mother was always my best friend and I was not planning on letting our friendship be destroyed because of Angie. I turn around and look at my mother.
