Last Night of Innocence with Zev

Jody kept staring at Zev. She felt like crying. Jody thinks that life has been tough on her. She was born in a world where everyone wants to kill her, and she has to give up her virginity to a man she doesn't love. Worse still, they don't even date each other.

"Zev, we're not going out together..." Jody said.

"I know..."

"We're enemies..."

"We're not," Zev said. "I don't hate you either. I didn't trust you before."

"We don't like each other and aren't even friends."

"You didn't have to do it, and I don't want to make you do it either. I'm not a pervert, and I'm not looking for sex, so if you don't want to, you can say no." Jody kept quiet. "I'm just telling you what you need to know."

Jody and Zev heard a loud rumble. Jody ran to Zev and grabbed him by the arm. She gasped when she heard all the weredragons looking for her outside their hiding place. Zev could feel Jody's grip getting tighter on his arm. She could hear them.
