Hail for the New Alpha

Rydel's head eventually detached from his body. I roared to stop the weredragons from fighting and caught their attention. Everyone looked at me, and I lifted Rydel's head. After a few seconds of silence, Rydel and my pack knelt before me.

"He killed Rydel. He killed the immortal!"

Everyone wondered how I managed to kill Rydel. Only Loel and Raul, who were there, knew of his plans to kill Rydel and harness his power.

Zev turned toward Loel. 'You guys will take care of this. Jody is in danger.'

Loel nodded, and so did Kross and the others. Zev quickly tossed Rydel's head and ran away from the pack.

Meanwhile, John and the three other policemen were running fast. Rupert, who couldn't transform into a weredragon but could see the scales on his skin, chased them. Before the poison from the bullet could completely spread through Rupert's body, he could stop it. From his bag, he took an antidote that he had made and injected it into his veins.
