"Same as usual Nine?"

I nod and Abryl gets busy working on my order.

"Here you go."

"Thank you."

I wave him goodbye and head to my desk. The day fares on and before I know it, it is already dusk. I stretch my hands above my head and look at the clock.

"Let's get going Nine."

"Just a minute Luna."

I hurriedly pack my bag and rush to her side. Together, we head out chatting without a care in the world until eventually, she brings up a topic I was hoping not to talk about.

"So what are you going to do about that wolf clan that kidnapped you?"

"Honestly, am not so sure either but I really hope never to run into him."

"Oh really? According to what I've read, it is said that the alpha is a damn looking guy."

"Really now."

"Are you trying to deny the fact that he is good looking?"

My mind races with his images and instantly I feel my cheeks heat up.

"Stop it Luna, he's nothing like that," I blurt out and hide my face in my hands.

Cool hands wrap around mine and I slowly look up.

"Luna?"

She brings a finger to her lips ushering me to keep quiet. I slowly nod my head and my eyes trail after hers.

"What's wrong?" I ask in the lowest tone I can muster.

"Someone or rather something is watching us."

Nerves on edge, I quickly glance around clearly noticing nothing out of the ordinary except for the rustling of tree leaves and street lights.

"You sure, I don't think there's-?"

A howl echoes through the silence surrounding us.

"Tsk, they caught your scent. This way!"

She grabs my wrist and sprints down the path, every once I sneak a peek behind us only to be met by darkness. We come to a stop by the forest in the park just behind my apartment.

(How did we get here so fast?)

"You should be safe now," she says and turns to walk away but grab her hand.

"Luna... what happened? Who was chasing us?"

She gently pulls her hand from my grip and places it on my shoulder.

"Does your brother have a girlfriend? Can you hook him up with me?"

I blink surprised by her sudden change in behaviour and I shake my head.

"Luna?"

"Sister? Wat are you two doing?"

"I was just leaving, see you later Nine, bye handsome."

She walks away leaving me to my pondering thoughts.

"Sister?"

"Let's head inside."

I walk past him and he closely follows behind me. I lay in bed pondering over everything that had happened when a soft knock sounds from the door.

"Sister, are you okay? You seem worried about something."

I let out an amused chuckle and sit up leaning against the headboard.

"Am I that easy to read?"

"Certainly, your brows are furrowed and you look quite troubled."

"Guess I can not hide anything from you huh?"

"Do you want to tell me what the problem is?"

I take a breathe and focus my gaze on him.

"Black, you said something about getting married to one from the werewolf clan."

"Correct, is the thought still bothering you?"

"Yes it is."

Black leans closer to me and wipes a tear I had no idea existed from my eye.

"Don't cry sister, everything will be okay."

"You sound rather confident."

"Of course, my sister is the best."

I smile at his words feeling a bit better.

"I should probably allow you to get your beauty sleep, call me if you need anything."

I nod and he walks out closing the door leaving me in the darkness of my room.

"She looks peaceful when she's asleep."

I stir and open my eyes coming face to face with a wolf staring down at me. Startled, I let out a shout and through the wolf from me. It gracefully lands on fours before turning to look at me.

"My apologies Miss Nine, I did not intend to alarm you. I was just admiring your magnificent features."

"You- you're the wolf from that night, aren't you."

"Peta, at your service."

The wolf bows and I marvel at the cute gesture. Just as the wolf gets to move up, the door bursts open and Black runs in.

"I heard screaming is everything..."

His words trail off once his eyes land on the wolf by my feet.

"Black, I can explain-"

He lunges towards the wolf and seconds later has it pinned under him. The wolf doesn't make any attempt to move and I quickly get down from the bed and towards the two.

"What are you doing Black, get off him."

"Sister..."

"Now!"

He looks at me and stands without any objections. I kneel next to the wolf, cradling its head on my lap.

"Sister, you do realise this wolf is from their side right?"

"Enough Black, the poor thing didn't do anything wrong to you so why did you attack it on sight?"

"Excuse me?"

Ignoring his grumbles, I turn my attention to the wolf.

"Miss Nine."

"Don't worry, the big meanie won't hurt you anymore."

I hear Black scoff behind me but I ignore his behaviours and rub the back of its ears causing it to wag its tail.

"Let's go."

We walk out of the room and to the living room where I take a seat with the wolf by my feet like a puppy.

"Sister, are you okay with all this?" he asks clearly displeased by our furry company.

"What do you mean by that Black?" I ask.

He runs a frustrated hand through his hair before turning to me with a grim expression.

"You do know that it can be a spy sent here right? Maybe it is waiting for the perfect chance to snatch you away or perhaps-"

I hold up a hand silencing him before giving him on of my warm smiles.

"It's okay Black, he won't do anything to me am certain, besides isn't he just cute?"
