16: Baby Steps

Watching the dark sky from the high-rise building, Eulgo turn around to face his one and only son.

His son is wearing a three-piece suit with black vest and coat. He is currently sitting down while drinking tea that Eulgo's secretary prepared for him.

After the scandal of Sianne's wedding, they did everything they could to cover up his beloved son's involvement with Sianne's affairs. Releasing a statement that the relationship between the b*tch and him were nothing more than a fling before the wench got in between Leo's marriage.

They also made sure that the little sl*t will keep its mouth shut.

They wouldn't like to risk their involvement about destroying the Gruigels.

Their strength is not enough to defeat this giant. They are not ready yet.

They spent a fortune just to keep what they have planned a secret and bury it.

They thought they needed to make a new plan. Raiver's disappearance with his child made everything they have prepared go down haywire.

But now, all the news contains of Raiver's comeback.

Every single detail of him floods the internet. People began singing their praises as to how this scene made a drama show for all to see.

Such a romantic comeback.

But Eulgo says otherwise. Now that Raiver is back. The plan that they've made needs a little tweak.

But they must collect more data on their side.

According to the news, Raiver's overall appearance changed. Which is really impossible for an omega.

Omegas cannot grow muscles like those of normal betas. Because of their feminine body that restricts them for further developing more muscles on their body, omegas have delicate and slender body physique.

It is so to ensure the steady and well-developed uterus in their body.

Such logic defies Raiver's change. Something must have happened during the time that he disappeared.

Eulgo shakes his head to get this thought out. It is too dangerous let alone make his precious child to undergo it.

"You heard the news, son?"

"Yes father", he puts down the tea cup he is holding and faced his father.

"Make it so that our eldest doesn't forget his weak father of his"

"Understood father", Eulgo leaned on his office table.

"What about brother's body? Aren't we going to study it? I want to improve my body too father", Eulgo looked at his son.

"It's too dangerous. I can't risk you, my child. Besides it takes a time before confirming this unusual event", his son pouted.

"What about his child?"

"We'll make him as leverage. He is a mother now. He will protect his child no matter what", Eulgo smirked.

Now that the child's presence was announced, he will freely use it. After all, he is the grandfather of the child. He still have rights to take and play with his grandson.

"What do we do now?", Eulgo looked at his son before flashing his murderous aura.

"We'll lay low for now then strike at a perfect time", Eulgo laughed.

Then a knocked could be heard at the office doors. The door slowly opened and the little head of Eulgo's secretary peeked his head.

"Sir, Mrs. Ashten is here"

"Then let her in!", confirming the command, the secretary held the dorr open.

A beautiful woman came striding in. Her long legs and curves were shown with her flowing glittered white and gold dress. The gold belt on her waist did its justice to announce her slender waist. Although she is old, she is still a beauty of her own league.

Her hair was tied up with some strands hanging on her face's side. Her perfectly applied make-up showed her mature yet elegant face.

Her shining turquoise eyes is where her son got it.

She smiled towards her husband and gave him a kiss after reaching his place.

"What's the matter darling? I thought you were in Gambard with your friends. You said you will come back next, next month. What's wrong?", the woman smiled and lifted her phone from her hands.

"My son came back alive. What's wrong for worrying for his safe arrival? After all, I am still her mother", this statement made the father and son too also smile.

Right, they are family.

Since the Ashten's eldest came back, they are naturally worried for his state. They should see his condition in their own eyes.

Realizing this opportunity, the family laughed together. Not noticing a weak red glow coming from the woman's expensive bracelet.

Kallen jolted up from his bed after hearing his baby's cry.

"Hush hush my prince. Mommy is here, don't cry", Kallen rocked baby Andrei in his arms.

The baby stopped crying and started making noise. Blabbering words that he thinks are words kept on spouting from his little lips.

Kallen can't help but to smile. A knock on the door sounded before opening the door.

Lea came in with a feeding bottle. The bottle has a formulated milk in it.

If one would look closely, small thread lines can be seen from the liquid. Its faint glow is in the color of jade that keep on swimming.

This is a special milk that Kallen ordered from his home. A special milk that gives complete nourish to the baby. It also helps the divine veins to open up and slowly develop those veins which a golden blood flowed.

It is one of the characteristics of Kallen's Godly race. Creatures have different blood color. For example: humans from Earth have red blood color.

Golden blood signifies their long longevity and their ability to regenerate even if the head is cut off or the heart got pierced.

But in baby Andrei's case, he has three veins. The standard artery and blue veins and the divine vein which contain those extraordinary blood.

"Thank you, Lea", the maid just bowed her head before heading to the bathroom to prepare Kallen's hot water and his clothes as well as the baby's.

The other maid is in the kitchen, helping out for the food preparation of her young master and his precious baby.

Kallen is dressing his son when the door opened without warning.

"Good morning", Leo greeted his beloved and his son.

He was about to go in the room when he got stuck to his place.

Raiver in his lose silky white robe and his light green sleeping pants, looked breath-taking. His robe was opened slightly, revealing his toned milky chest.

And because Raiver's clothes is slightly transparent, Leo gulped a huge amount of saliva. Raiver's curves gave out because the light contrasted Leo's body, highlighting the body of his ex-wife.

Raiver's milky white skin radiated from the sunlight. He looks like a goddess that was sent down the mortal world to seduce him.

Leo couldn't help but to stare at this very being. He was supposed to invite Raiver for breakfast. Remembering his purpose, he tried to speak but couldn't. It's like that the cat got his tongue.

The scene is beyond beautiful. Describing it as a breath-taking view would be understatement.

Kallen who did not notice Leo's arrival kept on playing with Andrei while putting on his pants. The squeals of Andrei's laughter resounded the room. Because of the ambiance, the room seemed livelier than before. The gloomy atmosphere of the room was gone.

"May I help you sir?", Leo snapped out from his day dreaming and looked at the maid in front of him. Clearly the maid is not happy with Leo's lustful gaze towards her master.

Raiver who noticed this awkward scene, coughed a bit before fixing his appearance.

He already noticed Leo's intense stare earlier. An idea came up from his mind and continued to ignore Leo and decided to further showcase his assets. Kallen laughed in his head. Surely, his naughty way of ignorance came out successful.

"*Ahem* I would like to invite Raiver for breakfast if that is, ok? The food is already prepared by the way", Leo awkwardly looked to his side and pretended that he isn't ogling with Raiver's looks.

[A/N: Starting from here, I'll be replacing Kallen's name with Raiver since he is going to use it in this planet.]

A soft chuckle escaped Raiver's lips. Leo's cheeks blushed and averted his gaze from Raiver's teasing eyes.

"I would love to dine in to breakfast with you", Leo smiled and offered his hand towards Raiver.

Raiver rejected his hand. He might be pretending to be Raiver and the mother of his child. But he isn't ready yet for any affectionate moves that Leo kept on hinting.

He obviously doesn't love this man. He isn't comfortable with touching other people than his child and family.

Leo who misunderstands the situation awkwardly retreats his hand and embarrassingly led the way to the dining area.

'Baby steps Leo, baby steps', Leo said to himself.

After all, Raiver might still have a grudge for what he did to him.

After having their heartfelt breakfast, Leo went on ahead to his room to prepare for his scheduled meeting for the day.

While Raiver went to the living room and set up Andrei's play area.

Finished with setting up, Raiver played with his son.

Until the door bell rang.
