Chapter 8

Olive told Rhoda she had something to do so she bid them goodbye and left.

Are you following, Rhoda repeated to Derrick, and with your girlfriend too are you serious, Angela kinda got pissed and told Rhoda that Derrick was just going to work then went inside the restaurant, Rhoda then realised it was Derrick's restaurant, Am sorry I just thought you ...... you know what never mind I have to go .

Wait, Derrick stopped her but she was too embarrassed to face him now so she ignored him and left , Derrick sadly went inside the restaurant to his sister and hugged her. Dina was anxiously waiting for Rhoda when she got to her office, where have you been Rhoda Dina asked anxiously, she told Rhoda that there were some clients waiting for her inside the office, I thought the meeting was tomorrow Rhoda said, yeah that's what I thought too but I think there was a problem with the date anyways the documents are already Ready so let's just get this over with Dina suggested, Rhoda picked up some necessary documents and left to the meeting room, the clients were a little mad but immediately they saw Rhoda's innocent smiling facetted calmed down, Am sorry am late I had to deal with some emergency but we can start now she said.

The meeting last for about 45mins, it was successful too so Rhoda escorted them outside with smiles on each others faces. After they left Rhoda and Dina returned to Rhoda's office, OK now tell me what you were thinking leaving the office without your phone , I know you were probably out with one of your friends but your business needs you too you can't always hang out with them you've got a business to run.

Am sorry I just met Derrick and....wait Dina interrupted its okay I forgive you but make sure to always tell me when you leave and always carry ur phone along, now tell me what happened with Derrick, wait what Rhoda said, you are now more interested in Derrick than our business wow what a Dear friend you are,

Hey you can't blame me Boys are more interesting now tell me everything.

There is really nothing to tell, I just bumped into him and accused him of stalking me then realised I dined in his restaurant and I got embarrassed bla bla bla .

Really, Dina said back and you said nothing happened. But why did you ignore him maybe he had something to say. Rhoda ignored her comment and said she had something more important to do so Dina should leave, Dina just smiled and left .

After Dina left Rhoda realised she hadn't really heard from the twins all day so she decided to call them , the first call was to Bismark which went straight to voicemail so she called Bernard which also ended in voicemail, this is strange she said to herself, she tried calling again several time but it still wasn't going through, she then decided to call their office , but she was told they didn't report to work all day, now she was getting worried, she packed her things and decided to go to their house, she met Dina at the door and explained everything to her which she understood and promised to take care of things in the office as "always" she said sarcastically but Rhoda wasn't in the mood for jokes so she left and drove to the twins house.

Sorry buh they left early morning and hasn't returned Sofia the twins nanny told Rhoda, thank you Rhoda replied and please call me if they show up .

Rhoda decided to call Olive and see if she knew something, Olive picked on the third ring, hey where are you, have you heard from Bernard and Bismark? Rhoda asked immediately, urmm yeah am with them but something happened ,what happened am getting worried, we are at the hospital Mr Bruno and Mrs Victoria got into an accident, they are currently at the ER ,after hearing this Rhoda started panicking she asked for the address quickly and headed there.

Both twins were sobbing when she got there, Rhoda hugged them and told them to relax cause nothing bad would happen to their parents, she was also very sad but tried to contain her tears in other to convince the twins everything will be alright. Olive later got some snacks for the twins since they hadn't had any food since morning but they both refused. Some time later, the doctors and nurses came out coincidentally Mr Rockson was one of the doctors so they all headed to his Direction and asked him how the patients were, he looked down and said he was sorry but they couldn't make it. Wait what? Bernard shouted, Bismark took some steps back almost loosing his balance but Olive held him quickly, Bernard just stood there dumbfounded, Rhoda couldn't believe what she heard, she was beyond shocked, she couldn't contain her tears anymore, she cried her heart out together with the twins, Mr Rockson apologised again and left them.

The next few days had been hard for the twins dealing with the loss of the parents, the funeral and the company . Mr Rockson and his children helped a lot during the funeral.

In about three or four month time, they were done with the funeral and everyone had already moved on or tried to move on except Bismark even though he always said he was fine.

The twins were now at Rhoda's house with Olive chatting when the door bell rang, before any of them could stand up Mr Samuel rushed to open the door which left everyone wondering, just then Mr Rockson and his children came in, Mr Samuel told everyone he invited them over to have lunch as a way of saying thanks since they helped out a lot during the past few months. Angela rushed to hug Olive and Rhoda since they had become closed friends during the few months, but Derrick and Rhoda were still not very close but they talked sometimes which never ended well. Mr Samuel noticed the tension between Rhoda and Derrick so he asked them if everything was alright and Olive knowing her father very well pretended everything was okay and even slapped Derrick on the shoulder playfully indicating how "close" they were, Mr Samuel shook his head and went into his office with Mr Rockson leaving the "kids" alone.

You should be an actress instead of a fashion designer Derrick told Rhoda , aww I will think about it Rhoda replied, before they realised they were both having a friendly conversation, Angela and Olive noticed, Angela smiled to Derrick knowing he probably had dreamed about this moment for so long, Rhoda saw it and told Derrick his girlfriend was really pretty.

You still haven't realized yet have you? Realised what Rhoda said, Angela is my sister not my girlfriend. Rhoda looked at him with wide eyes then Angela and realised how dumb she had been ,no way Rhoda said a little loud catching the attention of everyone, the twins asked what was wrong and Rhoda told them, they were all shocked since all this while they assumed that Derrick and Angela were a couple.
