Chapter 10

Rhoda actually knew what she wanted and she could get it but she was hesitating because she felt like getting together with Derrick would break Bismark and the last thing she wanted was to hurt her bestfriend, she knew Bismark can still not gotten over his parents death yet but was just acting normal so as to avoid answering questions. But Rhoda being Rhoda knew her bestfriend pretty well and could tell that he was hurting inside but she never asked him or talked about it in other not to trigger memories everyone was trying to forget.

Rhoda silently went back to the room without Derrick and Angela noticing.

Mr Samuel thought of so many places Rhoda would go but couldn't think of any he even called Dina but she didn't know where Rhoda was then he thought of Mr Rockson, he remembered Rhoda talked about how he reminds her of Mr Bruno sometimes, the memory of Mr Bruno saddened his heart but he shrugged the thought of and focused on his daughter, he decided to call Mr Rockson but before he could Mr Rockson called him.

I was about to call you Mr Samuel said, then its good I called Mr Rockson replied, I guess you are looking for Rhoda.

Why is she with you ? Mr Samuel asked quickly

Not really she is with my children, Derrick just sent me a text telling me to call you. I guess you would be worried so I called right away.

Thank you Mr Samuel responded

I will send you the address immediately you can go pick her up, Mr Rockson calmly told Mr Samuel.

After hanging up Mr Samuel went to tell the others about where Rhoda was. Bernard gave his brother a sly smirk after hearing Rhoda was with Derrick, the thought of Rhoda running into Derrick's arm after their first argument made Bismark jealous so he quickly got the address from Mr Samuel and went to get Rhoda back.

Derrick after talking to Angela went to the room Rhoda was supposedly resting in, he sat on the bed and asked Rhoda why she was running by the roadside carelessly, Rhoda said she wanted to go home instead of answering.

Please talk to me I hate seeing you sad it breaks my heart Derrick said back .

Don't worry about me am fine Rhoda said with a shrug.

How do you expect me not to worry about you when I love you.....

Fine! Rhoda said , she explained everything to Derrick, after she was done Derrick didn't know what to say , she had thought it would be something between her and her friends or her father maybe but it was Bismark, her bestfriend who loves her, he didn't know what to say to her but had to say something.

I'm sure he didn't mean to upset you Derrick said, he probably got carried away by his emotions, I think he had been waiting for so long to confess so he might have expected a better response not how you tried to change the topic, Am sure he is sorry now, he is your bestfriend and you should know that's not how he is. Maybe next time stay and talk to him instead of running away.

Rhoda was amazed with Derrick's response, she expected him to say something bad about Bismark or tell her to not forgive him since he is literally his rival buh Derrick did otherwise, Rhoda pulled Derrick in for a hug but it didn't last for long because Derrick pulled her back and planted a kiss on her lips, Rhoda pushed him back and looked into his eyes, Derrick tried apologising but Rhoda pulled him this time and went in for a very hot passionate kiss.

Derrick felt like he was dreaming, he couldn't believe it was real, till he heard noises outside, Rhoda pulled away quickly realising what just happened, she was now back to reality.

Urmm I think someone is calling you Derrick said, Rhoda shyly existed the room only to see Bismark downstairs, she quickly descended the stairs and with Derrick.

What are you doing here, Rhoda asked.

Please let's just go home Bismark replied. I don't want to go with you am not a child I can return home myself Rhoda said back.

I'm sorry I know you are angry and yeah I deserve it but please just go home and let's settle this we are all worried Bismark said with guilt.

Rhoda looked away but her eyes met with Derrick's, he mouthed "forgive him", Rhoda remembered what Derrick told her.

Fine I will go with you Rhoda said. Bismark quickly hugged her and said sorry, and gave her a peg on her forehead, Derrick didn't want to see more of it so he went upstairs without their notice. Before leaving Bismark thanked Angela for taking Rhoda in, Rhoda looked around but couldn't see Derrick, she didn't want to go without saying goodbye to Derrick but she couldn't ask Angela probably because she wouldn't even answer, she sadly left with the twins.

When they got home Mr Samuel hugged his daughter and told her to forget and forgive what Bismark did, she nodded and told her dad she was tired and wanted to rest, Olive helped her to her room and left after turning the light off. Bismark thanked Mr Samuel for taking it easy on him.

The more you hurt her the more you teach her how to live without you, Mr Samuel told Bismark. Olive also went upstairs since she was now leaving with Rhoda as they discussed some months ago, Bernard went to kiss her goodnight and left with Bismark.

Rhoda who couldn't sleep took her phone and called Derrick, he was surprised to see Rhoda's call but was mostly happy, Rhoda asked why he left without saying goodbye but Derrick said it was nothing, Rhoda asked how Angela was and was told she was a lot calmer than before. Rhoda said Goodnight and was about to hang up but Derrick told her to wait and asked about the kiss, before Derrick could continue Rhoda told him to forget it and that it was a mistake and quickly hanged up. Derrick called back again but she didn't pick up, she was tempted to pick and tell him to wasn't a mistake and that she was glad that it was him who took her first kiss but she didn't even pick up to talk about saying it, she then switched of her phone and slept or tried to at least.
