The door broke and fell on the floor. I didn't even flinch. Fear is not even a thing when you are high on these psychedelics. The growl of the wolf reverberated in the cabin even before it entered. Then came inside a gigantic wolf. Arashi. As soon as he came in, he collapsed. Blood draining from the wounds on his body. He is badly injured. Bite marks, claw scratches are all over him. His majestic white fur is stained red. His eyes are teary. He is about to die. But somehow all of that didn't matter to me. I kept sitting there and licking the powder as if nothing happened at all. Arashi is dying in front of my eyes. Arashi rolled to his side and from the top of him fell a body. An unconscious women. Priya. It felt like a 1000 volts of current passed through my veins when I saw her. All my drowsiness washed away. I threw the bottle aside and ran to her. Holding her head on my lap, I sat there on my knees, bent. She is not responding to my cries. I checked her heartbeat. It is beating. "What happened?" I kept shouting at her and Arashi. She didn't respond. Arashi's wet eyes kept staring at me as his soul drift off his body. Arashi is dead.
I heard the noise of cracking twigs and crunching leaves as the packs of wolves are approaching from all the directions around me. I'm alone. Priya is not conscious. Arashi is dead. I have to do something, or else I will loose Priya too. I can see a wolf running at me, far from the entrance of the cabin. The door is broken. There's one more wolf behind that wolf. Many more behind them.
I carefully put Priya's head down and stood up. I ran to the table where the powder jars are kept and dragged it to the entrance where I pushed it to one side and blocked the way. It's a big enough table to block the passage but it leaves some space above it. I sat there, holding the table in place while all the wolves bashed on it from the other side. They are so powerful. I'm loosing my grip.
Suddenly A wolf jumped into the room from the gap above the table. It ran towards Priya. It jumped over her. I jumped over the wolf and hit it away from Priya. But the other wolves bashed into the room, kicking the table off. The table slid towards me and hit my head. Blood dribbled down onto priya's face. Priya is in my hands and the hungry wolves are all around us. They kept coming in ceaselessly.
Just when they all are about to pounce on us I grabbed the drawer of the table and picked up the blue stone from it. The blood dribbling from my forehead fell on the stone and stone started to shine in bright blue color. A wolf fell on me and instead of chewing on my head, it backed off and ran away into the pack. The 'ice stone' is a nightmare to all werewolves. They die out of hypothermia if they stay near these activated 'ice stones'. Looking at the blue light from the stone that kept becoming brighter and brighter, the wolves started running out of the cabin. Within seconds the place is empty. But I know they are waiting on the perimeters, waiting for me to put off the stone, waiting to comeback and pounce at us. To kill us.
My body's temperature began to drop. My fingers are shivering. It's because of the stone. It's like a slow poison. But it is the only choice I have. Thank god, these stones cannot harm witches. If I keep the stone, maybe I'll die in a few hours. But Priya won't. That's enough for me. Isn't it?
I hope she wakes up before I die, so that I can talk to her. Maybe kiss her for one last time. And tell her I love her, no matter what.
Wake up Priya, I'm dying.
