Meeting with Mr. Wright

"Ma'am, do you want me to accompany you?" Rishi worriedly asked.

Ignoring his concern, Pearl asked back. "Are you done with all the paperwork I asked you for?"

"Yes, ma'am everything is ready here. You just need to come. But at college. There you might need su-"

Rishi tried to convince Pearl, as he wanted to accompany her with her admission process, however Pearl continuously tried to feign ignorance over his wish.

"Rishi... next" She ordered.

"Ma'am what about your visit?" He asked.

"I'll go alone?" She informed me.

"And you're moving back to Sen mansion?" He asked again.

"I'll do that as I had planned." She said,

Things are still very hectic in the company and she needs his company fully. However, the plan she made won't change because of some pressure or anything.

Since she came she only desired to stay with her Grandfather and then with her Grandmother. But if none of them are staying back, she will go back to Sen mansion as her Grandfather Sen wanted her to do so.

"I'll be there in an hour. Till then take care of grandmother and rest of the work."

Rishi pursed his lips but hummed in response. He knows his boss is just covering up on the matter.

Today Pearl went to the university to get her calling letter from her professor personally. Even though things can still be sorted with soft copies, Pearl's professors still asked her to visit campus for once at least.

And Pearl herself didn't want to disrespect her teacher just because of small things. Knowing Pearl's problem, her professor had allowed her to take a break at first. But now when things are done, she has to come and report him once.

Months ago after qualifying her exam, Pearl's professor on her request recommended her to someone, under whom she will be able to learn the best and in her home city too.

In abroad the best professors were also there, however, for her grandfather, she wanted to go back home and complete her doctorate there.

The university campus was bustling with teenagers. The college accommodates not just graduates and postgraduates, but their professors also take students for a doctorate degree.

Although Pearl wore nothing eye-catching, her dress was very simple with a shrug, jeans, top with white sports shoes.

But still, her face betrayed her fully. Everyone around her gawks at her like they are seeing some film star or their idol.

Her movements were so soft and light, that it made others doubt if she was walking on the same path as them or on feathers.

Her no-makeup looks made everyone jealous of their existence. Those stares can make anyone nervous and shy immediately, but Pearl didn't give a penny to their gazes or their thoughts.

She quietly walked to her destination block. The block wasn't that crowded like other blocks, but still, it was lively.

Taking the lift up to the fourth floor she walked to the only empty classroom on the floor. Earlier she was informed by her teacher the classroom no. where she is meeting her professor.

She never met her assigned professor before but she did hear about him a lot from her acquaintance. Getting inside the class, she took her seat at the last desk.

Staffroom---

"I heard that Mr. Wright got a new student under him?" One of the teachers talked first.

"Last year he almost got all his students passed the doctorate. And this year he only accepted one student for a doctorate and none for Ph.D. Must say, he is so strict with his selection."

"But anyway he is already the senior-most professor in our whole university."

"That's why he doesn't need to accept any more students under his guidance. Now all he does is to help his students."

"But I heard that the new student is very good with her studies. Not only was she recommended by the top professors abroad, she scored the best in her qualifying exam too."

"I wish I could have such a student under me too."

"Well, Mr. Wright was recommended to that girl by her professors. I believe this time Mr. Wright hit a jackpot."

"How good she must be, that she was personally accepted by professor's abroad too."

"Don't worry, we are going to see her today anyway. Let's see how good she is."

Staff around the office kept talking about the girl. Pearl, even before could fully get into college, was popular among them.

"But do you think there will be a quarrel between him and Mr. Jones?"

"No. I highly doubt that.... Mr. Wright would not bother himself with any fight over the excitement of having such bright students."

They both are their seniors. One has abundant knowledge and experience and the other has knowledge but also has the most sociable nature and connections.

The competition between them was something which was known to everyone and also known to no one.

While talking to each other they all reached the destined classroom. There were 5 teachers in total.

Three were females and two were males. Each one of them takes students under them too. But their post and name weren't that high.

Not noticing anything odd, they all got inside the class and took their seats in the first row, and waited for Mr. Wright and the girl to come.

After another few minutes Mr. Wright entered the class too. Getting inside, he stood in front of the podium.

Mr. Wright's full name is Shubh Wright. He is in his late 50s. He achieved a lot in his young days.

With his research and study, he achieved a lot of fame and success in his career. In their university, he is the most respected professor.

When he came in, everyone stood up to greet him. As he was standing in front of them, none of them took their seats out of respect.

One of the teachers standing in the front row came out of the desk area and asked. "Mr. Wright, where is your student? Did she reach? Or is she late?"

Hearing that question, Shubh looked around the classroom.
