Chapter 4: Pinkie, Rarity, And Rainbow's Trial

"Eww. My eyes need a rest from all this icky muck." Rarity looks around the forest unhappily. It becomes pitch black. "Well I didn't mean that literally."

"That ancient ruin could be right in front of our faces and we wouldn't even know it!" Twilight sounds.

We keep apologizing to one another for bumping into each other. I thought about flying, but I don't want to hit my head on a branch. AppleJack talks. "Oh wait, I think I stepped in something."

Fluttershy screams. AppleJack turns to look and sees a scary looking tree. "Yelp!"

Everypony huddles in together. Except for Pinkie and I. I stare at the trees in amusement as the ponies cry. Pinkie begins to laugh. I also join in the fun. Twilight stares at us in confusion.

"Pinkie! TipStir! What are you doing?! Run!"

"Oh girls, don't you see?" Pinkie and I look at each other and smile.

I hear a song coming on. And if I remember, it's called Giggle at the Ghosties. Let's make it a duet! (Pinkie) [TipStir] <Both>

<When I was a little filly and the sun was going down...>

Twilight Sparkle: Tell me they're not...

<The darkness and the shadows, they would always make me frown>

Rarity: They are.

(I'd hide under my pillow)

[From what I thought I saw]

(But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way To deal with fears at all)

Rainbow Dash: Then what is?

Ponies: [gasp]

<So,> (giggle at the ghostly)

[Guffaw at the grossly]

(Crack up at the creepy)

[Whoop it up with the weepy]

(Chortle at the kooky)

[Snortle at the spooky]

(And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna... hahahaha...heh...)

We continue to laugh amongst ourselves. This makes me think back to my brothers and sisters. Wonder how they're doing…

We travel to our next destination. I fly up before bumping into some pony. The river has waves strong enough that no pony can travel across it on foot. I think about flying across, but I'm not strong enough to carry the ponies. I hear crying near us.

"Wahaha! What a world. What a world!" A serpent slams his fist into the river. Crying out. Twilight speaks.

"Excuse me sir, why are you crying?"

"Well I don't know. I was just sitting here, minding my own business. When this tacky little cloud of purple smoke just swish pass me. And tore half of my beloved moustache, clean off! And now, I look simply horrid! Awhhhuhhh!"

The serpent splashes water onto us. I did the smart move and fly off before he said horrid. So only the mane 6 are wet. Not me. RainbowDash looks annoyed.

"Oh, give me a break." AppleJack agrees. "That's what all the fuss is about?"

Rarity walks up. "Why of course it is! How can you be so insensitive? Oh, just look at him. Such lovely luminescent scales."

"I know…"

"Your expertly quaffed mane."

"Oh I know. I know."

"Your fabulous manicure."

"It's so true!"

"All ruined without your beautiful moustache."

"It's true I'm hideous!"

"I simply cannot let such crime against fabulosity go uncorrected!"

Rarity plucks off a scale from the serpent. She uses that to cut off her tail. The serpent dramatically falls onto the floor. Rarity attaches her tail to his face. Wala! A new moustache!

"Awehahahaha! My moustache! How wonderful!"

"You look smashing." Twilight walks up to Rarity.

"Oh Rarity, your beautiful tail."

"Oh, it's fine my dear. Short tails are in this season. Besides. It'll grow back."

RainbowDash whispers. "So would the moustache…"

I chuckle at that. Everypony turns to me. I smirk at Rainbow.

"If you ever get a buzz cut, we'll just tell you to grow it back as well."

Rainbow laughs nervously. The other ponies chuckle. The serpent stops wailing in the water. It becomes calm again. Twilight walks forward. "We can cross now!" The serpent picks up his tail.

"Allow me."

We hop across to the other side. No one flew. It was sorta nice to feel a mythical creature's scales.

"There it is! The ruin that holds the elements of harmony! We made it!"

Twilight dashes off. I shout for her to stop. The others look at me in confusion until they see her almost fall. Rainbow pulls Twilight back. "What's with you and falling off cliffs today?"

We all walk forward. Pinkie asks a question. "Now what?"

"Duh." Rainbow flaps her wings. She takes off to put the bridge back together again. I decided to wait here with the rest of the ponies. My bag vibrates again. I open it up to see another note inside. 'Here is the walls to your home, a reward for first time holding someone while flying.' Why didn't I get it at that time? The note becomes smoke. It enters into my S bag again. I try to open it, but it won't budge.

I look around at the ponies. No one noticed anything. Perhaps I can only receive rewards when I'm alone?

"Rainbow!" Twilight shouts. "What's taking so long?"

We spot 3 other ponies. Rainbow's trial has now begun. The fog covers us up. Preventing Rainbow from hearing us. Twilight begins to panic, as well as every pony else. I just sit and wait for everything to end. Although I changed some events, it has not impacted anything yet.

"How are you so calm?! Something bad is happening to RainbowDash!"

"Well panicking won't help Twilight. It's best to just wait. I'm positive she'll come back."

And after I said that, Rainbow emerges from the fog. The ponies all cheer in glee, I smile a little as I walk on the bridge.

"See? I never leave my friends hanging." Rainbow smiles.

We come closer to the entrance of the ruin. Once we enter, we spot rocks displayed on a pedestal. For a quick second, I could've sworn I saw an extra rock.

"Come on Twilight. Isn't this what you've been waiting for?" AppleJack says.

"The elements of harmony! We found them!"

RainbowDash, Fluttershy, and I pick up the rocks. We carefully place them on the ground. Pinkiepie counts them all, saying there's only 5.

"The book said, when the five are present a spark will cause the 6th element to be revealed!"

AppleJack looks confused. "What in the hey is that supposed to mean?"

"I'm not sure but I have an idea. Stand back. I don't know what will happen."

Twilight uses magic. AppleJack said to leave in order for Twilight to concentrate. I glance back one more time, contemplating if I should let her teleport away or help. But as I looked back, the mist appeared. I didn't think twice in dashing towards it.

As the mist twirls the elements, Twilight and I pounce in. We're teleported away from the others. Blinding lights keep my eyes shut. When I open to look, I'm greeted to a change in scenery. Twilight stands up. I look over myself. I'm all here. Good.

"Are you okay Twilight? That was unexpected huh…"

"I'm fine. But where are we?"

A laugh that I am oh so familiar with catches our attention. We turn to see who it is. I mutter.

"Nightmare Moon…"
