Ren’s Insecurities

21st September, 2017. Around 9pm at night~~~

A week had passed by after NEO FREE's First live broadcast and they were back to their busy lifestyles of practicing and getting ready for their upcoming whole group album. The biggest project their company had assigned them for the year.

But now with Jae having to take a rest because of his injured back which was caused by an accident at their previous album promotions, Jino was sticking to Jae a lot these days taking care of the latter a lot, which did not sit well with Ren, being Jino's boyfriend.

"Chen" Ren called out to gain Chen's attention.

"Chen~~" He tried again but this time with a sweet tone.

"Chen-ah" Ren was reaching his limit now, Chen was literally ignoring him at this point.

"Chen-ah~~" But still he tried to keep his anger at bay as Ren was trying to discuss something important with the younger boy.

"CHEN-AH" Ren had enough, thus he exploded.

Whereas Chen, who was sitting on his bed, leaning his back on the wall with headphones on, was busy playing games on his phone.

"YAH WANG CHEN!! CAN'T YOU HEAR ME?!" Ren complained, clearly annoyed at this point as he walked over to Chen to shake him up and gain his attention again.

Ren was ranting for quite a few minutes now, about his love life with Jino which was facing some trouble but Chen had eventually grown bored and thus, had put on his headphones to play some games to get over his boredom. Chen had done it very skillfully.

When he saw Ren was not paying attention to him and just continued looking outside the window present in their room which they shared, still ranting. Chen sneaked back to his bed from sitting at their computer table, wore his headphones and went back to playing games with Hajoon who was online waiting for his return.

"Um.... AH!! NO NO NO N-NO… WHAT THE F-" Chen instantly stopped mid sentence when he looked up from his lost game to see a very furious Ren standing in front of him as if wanting to kill the younger with his bare hands, Ren was annoyed till that extent.

"O-oh yeah!?…. So what's up hyung?!…." Asked Chen in a very guilty and scared voice preventing any eye contact with Ren.

"Anyways! I'll spare you this time Chen-ah but now listen! So, what I'm saying is don't you find Jino and Jae spending a lot of time together?! Like...umm....you know, they are also doing a LIVE at the moment, together, coming back from Jino's schedule as we speak!"

Chen was actually shocked how Ren didn't care less that he was here gossiping about his own boyfriend and bestfriend as he just kept on ranting, which made Chen take the matter more seriously.

"I know, okay?! Jino is not like that and al.…but I'm not sure about Jae…I know~ I shouldn't be talking about my best friend like that but….I just don't know! These days they're just too close for me and I can't help but be suspicious of them and-" But Ren was cut off by Chen when he was pouring out his heart.

"So you are now telling me Ren hyung~ That you are starting to get jealous over their friendship, hyung you crazy!!" Chen concluded, completely denying Ren's accusations with a serious face as he was now all ready to listen and help his brother from another mother, Ren, with his problem.

"Yeah!! I know I shouldn't be thinking like this but....it's just the look in Jae's eye's~ Like you should see how he stares or looks at Jino, especially when only they're talking!" Ren was now totally confused about what he should feel which led to him pulling his hair in frustration.

"CHEN-AH! IT'S OUT NOW!!" Jihun screamed out to call for Chen, interrupting the Chinese brothers' conversation.

"YEAH I'M COMING!!" Chen screamed back in response, already getting up from his bed all excited out of nowhere, leaving Re confused.

"Yah!! Where are you going?! Listen to me first~" Ren complained, grabbing Chen's hoodie to stop him from leaving because Re had much more to say and Chen was the only one who he could confide in.

"Ahhh~~ Ren hyung! Go talk to Hajoon hyung about it, ok?! I'm sure he'll find a solution for you. I'm not that experienced in this matter, you see?!" With that said, Chen left their shared room, leaving the elder alone to overthink his doubts.

"Chen, Chen, come here!! Fast it's already out.~ Fast!" Called out Jihun, impatiently tapping the empty space besides himself on his bed for Chen to sit on when he saw Chen hurriedly enter his room.

Actually Jihun and Chen were eager to see the comeback show of their NEO 35 hyungs who were performing their new song for the first time. NEO 35 had a comeback while the other units of NEO were preparing for their whole group album.

Thus. now they are in Jihun's bed watching it together and fanboying over their NEO 35 hyungs. Their title song which the ChenJi couple was now gonna see the MV for was named 'You Just Gotta Touch', the teaser of this which was realized by their company had put their fans as well as the members themselves on the edge, excited.

"Ok ok I'm here! Jihun-ah now on it already~ I'm dying to see it! Oh I'm so excited!!" Confessed Chen as he hopped over to Jihun, wanting to watch the MV already.

After they finished watching the MV ~~~~

"Woah Daebak!!(means awesome in Korean) Young-ie hyung killed it! I'm still awestruck~" Jihun said who was still blown away by their NEO 35 hyungs charisma, clapping with his phone still in hand as he pulled it back from their eye level just to throw it somewhere on his bed.

"Yeah I know right~ But like did you see those perfect high notes of Tae hyung! Ah~ I can't anymore, I've fallen too deep for them! Ahahaha~" Chen expressed placing a hand over his heart to put more impact in his words.

"Yeah but-" Jihun started to further comment but was interrupted.

"Guy's~~ The pizzas here!" Called out Ren.

Interrupting them by poking his head into Jihun and Jino's shared room where the ChenJi couple were currently in as well their conversation just to see the couple all bundled up together on Jihun's bed, fanboying over their NEO 35 hyungs, Ren was expecting something else though.

"Hmm~ Anyways, what I was saying is did you see-" But again Jihun was interrupted by Ren, who was annoyed at the fact that Jihun just ignored his presence.

"Yah Lee Jihun!! At least a thanks would've been appreciated than ignorance. Kids these days seriously have no manners. First it was Chen now you! Did you couple decide on doing that on purpose?! I demand respect! I'm the eldest in the house for god's sake!!" Complained Ren, hissing at the two maknaes' behavior.

Ren was already irritated at the fact that no one in the Freelies was ready to listen to his thoughts and problems. He didn't want to burden the other NEO hyungs with his childish problems because they were already busy with their comeback, so were Hajoon and Mark also being a part of NEO 35.

"Yeah yeah Ren hyung~ So yeah Chen-ah, did you see-" And yet again Jihun made the grave mistake of ignoring Ren thus, was cut off by Ren again.

"Disrespectful little brats! Keep this nonsense up and you'll end up eating my kicks and punches for Dinner! Be late anymore and I'll eat up everything!!" Ren hissed as he slammed the door shut leaving the two alone, having enough of being disrespected.

"Argh~~ Goddamn! For the sake of his lover, can't he be quiet for a moment?!" Jihun complained to Chen at being cut off oh so rudely every time by Ren.

As whenever Jihun was trying to speak his thoughts on the MV they had just seen Ren would interrupt him. Jihun was eyeing the closed door to his room which Ren had slammed shut on his way out to which Chen just replied with a cute laughter of his own finding Jihun complaining cute.

"Ahhh~ Jihun-ah, I’m hungry! So let's just go and eat. I don't wanna sleep hungry tonight. Seeing Ren hyungs temper today, I'm sure he'll keep his word!" Chen suggested getting all worked up about losing the right to eat dinner whereas Jihun who was still not done talking just sighed a defeated sigh and nodded in agreement.

"Yeah PIZZA~~" Chen cheered, as he ran out of Jino and Jihun's shared room to their dining table in the kitchen just to be welcomed by a pissed off Ren. Ren was eyeing Jae.

As Jae was feeding Jino a slice of pizza who happily ate it without any questions in front of his own boyfriend. Chen knew that if this continued hell was about to break loose in their dorm. As knowing Ren was already feeling insecure about Jino and Jae’s friendship.

Chen had to do something to stop the chaos!! But what?!
