ELEVEN

I was put in a police car but was seriously worried about Lucy. The car took a strange turn and I asked one of the cops,"Where are we going?"

"Shut up."He answered.

"I study Geography and there is no place called shut up, now tell me, where are we going?!"

They didn't answer and I struggled but one of them tased me and that's all I remember.

I woke up and I was chained to a wall in a room which seemed like it was going to fall apart any second from then.

I looked around and saw Mark, I yelled his name and he looked at me then smiled.

"Where are we?"I asked one of the cops.

She rolled her eyes and walked away. I heard voices and looked through the keyhole on the door closest to me and saw the police chief taking a huge bunch of money from someone.

I dropped my jaw and looked at Mark with a grave countenance.

"What's wrong?"He asked.

"Mr Nelson..."

Mark shared that same expression when he heard those words.

I wondered where Mr Nelson got all that money when he had lost Lightning flash. I then heard footsteps, they were coming. I pretended to be unconscious as they opened the door.

Mr Nelson walked in and yelled,"Marcus, what a pleasure for you to pay little old me a visit."

Mark didn't speak then Mr Nelson said,"Since you gave me this pleasure..."

He gave the cops a signal and one of them freed Mark. I was confused. Mark stood up and looked at Mr Nelson with a deadly look on his face and charged at him.

Suddenly a cop sprayed something on his face and Mark yelled in pain.

Pepper spray!

Mr Nelson laughed then kicked Mark down. Then continued kicking him in the belly, hard.

Mark couldn't see a thing as Mr Nelson pulled his sleeve then punched him down. Mr Nelson chuckled and said,"This is fun."

He punched Mark again then had the cops tase him and raise him to his feet.

He then kicked Mark in the chin and I had tears in my eyes, then I realized something...I had a hair pin in my hair...

The cops held Mark and Mr Nelson put on some brass knuckles and punched him in the belly. Mark fell on his knees and coughed.

Suddenly I ran in their direction and spin kicked the cop in front of me then side flipped over another cop and punched Mr Nelson in the nose.

He landed in the cops' arms and said,"Leave me you idiots and get the kid!"

Then he cleaned the blood off his nose and frowned.

I held Mark and called his name as a tears streamed down my cheek. Mark smiled and gently held my cheek then said,"Tommy..."

Before he got to finish, three cops dragged me away and I yelled for Mark.

They were about to chain me again but I kicked one and he stumbled back the I elbowed the other and crossed my hands to block one of their baton attacks. One tried to punch me and I caught his fist and chained him instead then threw the keys away.

I then dodged one of their punches and he punched the other and I took his taser and tased him instead.

The last one tried to attack me but I gave him a suplex.

Another cop managed to hit me in the back with a stick and I fell down then heard Mark yell my name...

I'm so sorry...

They chained me again and all of the cops left, but someone worse walked in...Oleh.

She looked at me, pinched my cheek and said,"Aww, you couldn't protect your brother, that must be devastating, especially when you were on fire like that. Sadly, every fire eventually dies."

I just hung my head. Then looked up as she modelled to Mark, she squeezed his cheeks and said,"You disappoint me the most, you could have been with me, but you left me for that unfaithful cheat Lucy..."

Before she finished, he got strength and held her neck, Mr Nelson tried to free her but Mark gave him a hard knuckle sandwich.

Oleh struggled but he had death in his eyes. Then he said in a deadly tone,"Don't you dare talk about my wife like that, you cheat."

Then when he realised my facial expression, he calmed down and dropped her.

I knew Oleh was a psychopath who saw killing as a rite of passage, but Mark wasn't and I didn't want him to become one.

Mark walked to me and held me with tears in his eyes. He wiped the tears in mine and said,"Don't worry, we'll be fine."

"Really?"I asked.

I really wasn't certain.

He nodded. He said,"Just ah!"

There was a bang and I yelled Mark's name. He fell on his knees and coughed out blood. I screamed his name as Oleh pointed the gun at me.

Mark looked back and at the weak column right next to him then used his last strength to break through it with his body.

It started a chain reaction which caused the place to fall apart then Oleh screamed as a huge block fell on her.

Mark jumped on me to act as a human shield and I was crying uncontrollably as the place fell apart.
