Chapter 16 – Earl Hellan

Earl Hellan had been more eager than Earl Soleg, it seemed. He had given them but a single night of rest, before he came for them, his grand army of five thousand appearing in the road before them.

Vol was hit by a feeling of déjà vu seeing it again. The land wasn't hilly, as it had been meeting with Soleg. Instead, it was that strange mixture of plains and boulders that seemed peculiar to Earl Hellan's territory. Still, five thousand men were staring at him, with their bold Earl riding away in front. It was hard not to draw together the similarities.
