58. The Ring. *

After two more hours, we finally got back to the Inn.

Everyone was either in their rooms or off somewhere.

Late afternoon were busy, so we sat at the bar and gathered our breaths.

" It's done. Finally!!..I want to sleep."

" We have some time, go check on granny little one and then take a nap. " - Eli looked the worst out of all of us. " Demelza and I sort of built a mountain up my room."

We went upstairs behind her, said a quick hello and thanked them for looking after Arnold and Anna.

Eli stayed with us too and went in our room.

Still a mess, full of bags and more bags..on top of the other bags.

" We might need more space. " - my sister in law was uniformed and looked worried. " The mattresses can be secured on the wagons but, still it's gonna be an uncomfortable ride."

Demelza brought up a valid point looking at bags containing a fortune for someone like us.

" Well..maybe it don't have to be. They did talk about getting an extra wagon, if necessary. "

" Yeah, let's leave that kind of shopping to them. "

She sat down at the table by a window and pushed it opened wide, letting in the noises from the outside and some much needed fresh air.

We enjoyed it for a while seeing the city change colour.

The people going in and out from the establishment. The noises made by drunk and satisfied customers. It was nice and relaxing.

We needed a breather from today's crazy.

Our trips usually lasts a couple of hours and that includes everything.

Now we been here two days.

Reluctantly we started piling things to different groups.

Our pile significantly larger. I went over board and bought Zephyr a lot of clothes. Winter and next summer maybe, he won't need new ones for years.

Eli did nodded off somewhere along the way but, we let her rest.

" He won't like it.." - Dem, shook her head stating the obvious when saw me folding clothes on top of clothes. " Your man is very minimalistic, when it comes to materialistic things."

" I don't care..he would never buy it for himself. He have only old clothes and the jacket that girl umm...Penelope made."

Someone knocked at our door and soon Rosemarie came in.

She looked the same as always, incredible how much stamina this women had. " I had sometime so I figured, I'll check...oh my. Aren't you, coming back November? "

I believe she never seen that many bags and sacks full of things.

She walked over and checked my bag from Jadoren.

She picked out the same top, I had bought yesterday except in white..which, I bought today.

She twisted and turned it around cheking it from every angle. " Lylly is this yours? How much these cost? They are exquisitely made but, still.. "

I walked up and took out the four. With the two black one I had 6 in total, cost as much as a small patch of land.

" Yeah, I know..but it was made necessary. Besides Demelza got one for herself." - I wore all of hers and after a little begging she let me pay for it.

She helped so much early on this was nothing really.

Rosemarie was as shocked as any from our social circle will be, once the price tags showed.

She knew us from our days before.

Herself growing up a village way down south, where a divine beast named Kaine, terrorized those still living there to this very day.

Her parents had the good sense and took their opportunity, moved north when she was just fifteen.

She understood that from our neck of the woods her owning this Inn, was already an incredible dream come true.

I'm enjoying these looks of astonishment, it was all very new.

Able to afford luxury items like that..and she didn't even know just how many of these will remain intact in a few weeks.

Now, I don't care about the rest but, I'm keeping the black one worm yesterday. It had a special memory now, so it will stay in one piece.

" That man of yours..is it true he is currently back in your village to picking up gifts? "

I just smiled and pointed at my left ring finger.

"..and also a set of daggers for Anna."

" To Anna? "

" My daughter..Ilianna? Same hair, almost 6 year old?

She gave me a dry look. " Noo..I meant weapons for her? "

Demelza answered as she was trying on her new treasure. A white top adorned with roses and matching colour underwear.

She admired herself in the large mirror. " She not your regular little girl more like a .. " - she turned around with a big smile. "..a warrior princess of sorts."

Those might be the best words to describe her.

" I see..your family is sure different. "

" Hmm.."

We sure are.

Soon, Eli woke said she couldn't sleep from the noises we made.

Rosemarie had to work hard but, that just meant her business is going well.

We tried on various clothes and underwear mixes, we got Eleanor to try one of mine..the yellow one of course.

I could tell, she loved it. so I told, it's hers.

She was against it.

" You don't have to use it tonight or any night Eli. Just have it as gift from me. " - I wasn't trying to push her in any direction just wanted something nice for her day when it does come. " It will match with the panties you got yesterday."

He checked herself once more with a big smile this time. " Alright then..thanks Sisi. "

The night quickly descended on us.

Lucian knocked and told Zephyr is back. I ran downstairs past him. Fully dressed of course.

He stood with his back to me massaged his own neck.

" DID YOU GET IT!!? " - I jumped in his back wobble him a little.

" Maybe.." - Rosemarie in front of him was smiling ear to ear.

The customers who mostly regulars got used to our scenes. We caused a few in a relatively short amount of time.

Zephyr turned around and opened his palm, on it was and exquisitely made ring with an oval deep blue stone placed in the middle.

I never saw anything like that.

I expected a plain wedding band..well not plain, considering the material but still.. Rosemarie nodded proudly and those close enough couldn't take their eyes of the most beautiful gem, they will ever see.

I stepped back to admire the full picture.

" It's called sapphire. Carlos helped me find someone who is well versed in gemstones. " - he checked the stone than looked back at me. " Do you like..whoa! "

I took him down like, I was a much stronger women.

About twenty to thirty patrons around us...

I kissed him on the ground with my happy tears falling on him.

He held his head above and we shamelessly made out until my ears registered the sounds of cheers and clapping.

I didn't care.. he was the only one, I saw.

" I'll take that as a yes." - he caressed my cheeks and moved some of my wild locks out my tear stained face.

" ..Idiot."

We got up with a little difficulty and he placed it on my finger.

Perfect fit..it's like Ehlite himself blessed this ring.

It made my hand feel a little heavier and infinitely more beautiful.

Once it was placed on it..I'll will lose my hand before, I take it off.

The crowd around us politely clapped some more and shouting their good wishes now that we paid attention.

" Rosemarie buy them the next round of drinks on us."

" Generous man..congratulations you two. And thank you, for your business." - she had an excellent couple of days coin wise and it showed on her face.

Zephyr placed some money on the table and turned to me.

" Should we get ready..to.. umm Lylly!? "

I took him by the hand an ran upstairs.

In our room there were still my sister and Demelza in the clothes they chose for tonight.

Saw us breaking in but, I ignored them.

I really didn't bother..they are smart girls.

I took my future husband down the bed full of fluffy toys and went straight for his neck.

" Lylly!! .." - Eli climbed away so fast it took all the pillows with her.

Demelza was already holding the door tapping her foot. " Alright now..Eli c'mon we.. Hurry!! "

I heard the door closed and took off his shirt biting his chest.

" My love.. there are..."

" Shushhh...now..I'm..working..on something"

I took of his pants and faced a very excited and ready man.

" Wait..no, Oh God, shit..."
