We need to talk

ALEXA'S POV .

" Are you afraid , don't mind about Eva my daughter , it's good for her to play with kids closer to her age , l know you big at heart " , Just as my body was trembling , Michelle noticed it and murmured with a sweet smile on her face. " Yes ..um thanks for the compliment " , inwardly knowing it that Adrian was a few feet away from me , l honestly couldn't think of a straight answer .

In all the thoughts l had in my mind , meeting him again was the last thought on my mind . I had a thought that after having sex with him , l won't see him again but then the world wasn't fair to me . I was now scared to hell , if l don't get away right now he might tell Mark that l slept with him .

" Ah ! anyway I would like you to meet someone ,he is the new CEO , oh gosh sorry l have forgeten your name , it has been really a longtime and l have to introduce you to him " , She muttered and at that I felt like asking for the ground to open up and swallow me . I didn't want to meet whoever she was talking about , l wanted to walk away from her .

" I don't think that is ... " , . ". You don't need to be afraid , he is friendly " , just as l began , she instantly stopped me short in mid sentence .

At her words , I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment while hoping that he is not the one l knew , the one who made me feel special , the one who expertly explored my all body and yet it was wrong .

" Ahh , meet the new CEO of the company Mr Adrian Baldwin ". She murmured and without any option , l opened up my eyes . " Alexa " , As soon l turned and faced him , he instantly breathed out and l felt all my oxgen escape out of my lungs . As unbelievable as it was , he was the one standing up in front of me in a blue tuxedo suit that matched with blue eyes .

" Mm... nice to meet you , Mr Adrian " , With Michelle around , l tried to pretend like l didn't know him . I was seriously screwed up , the last time I saw him , l ran out of his apartment when he was still asleep . At my action , he looked at me with surprise all over his face . I acted like lt was my first time to see him .

He looked at me without saying a word and knowing it , l turned my attention to Ivan who was still clinging to me . I have carried him for a pretty good minutes and now l felt like my hands were going to break . He sensed it too that am tired because he looked at me with concern and pity . " There you are , come on you need to sort the kids out ,stop pissing around talking ", Just as I was looking at Ivan , Mark walked over to me and hissed out then walked away without waiting for my reply .

With him gone , l finally shamefully raised up my head and made eye contact with Adrian . Now this was it . He was piercing everything together . After what I told him when we were in the club , he could now collect it together and all l could see was pity in his eyes .

He looked at me for a pretty good time that Michelle eyed both of us . " Do you two know each other ?" , I swallowed hard as soon as Michelle's question interrupted us . I didn't know want to say and I was afraid of to hear what Adrian was going to say to her . ," No l just saw her a while back , as you can tell her husband is Mark , so l saw her at the company ", He replied and l sighed in relief .

" Yes just as he has said ..... I met him that time " , l stuttered as l rearranged Ivan who was slipping in my arms . " Is that so " , Michelle asked with a look that showed that she didn't buy our replies . " Sorry l need to go " , l excused myself before l quickly walked away. I walked while trying to find out where Mark was so that he could at least try and help me with Ivan but he was nowhere to be found .

I walked in different rooms for a good time until when l sighed in relief when my eyes fall on the sofa . " Here let me help " , Before l could lay Ivan down , l heard that same strange voice nearer to my ear . " Adrian that was a mistake , am marr... " , Before l could finish up , he shockingly just took Ivan out of my hands and carefully laid him down .

" Thank you , um can you just lay him down on sofa please , he is a nightmare , l can never wake him up once he is asleep , he is going to be all up right now " , I didn't know why l told him that but just as l watched him , l felt myself becoming more nervous . He was honestly more hot and handsome . " Alexa we need to talk about what happened " , He murmured in a low voice but with his eyes on my kid .

" We can't am .... " , I instantly trailed off in mid sentence when he reached out and took off his suit coat and then covered Ivan with it . He didn't need to do that but he did and it made my heart to beat a little bit faster .

That little move only showed what a kind man he was .
