27: Deku

An hour later, everyone we had invited was hanging out on the couch in the living room, or standing around the island in the kitchen, talking. "Hey, guys!" I said, holding Bakugo's hand, and dragging him along. They all turned to look at us. "Deku! Bakugo!" All at once, they launches into a group hug, and we were tackled to the ground, laughing. Slowly, we got up one by one, and I could see my mother waiting for me. I left Bakugo for a minute, hugged my mother, and then was surprised by Bakugo's mother wrapping me in a hug. "Oh-um-how kind." I said, and hugged her back, only pulling away when she did. "Deku!" Before I could turn around, I was tackled to the ground again, and this time, I saw red eyes, a cute smile.... "Eri!" I said, hugging her back, and laughing. She was now ten years old, and she'd grown a little, but not much. "Hey, hey, be careful!" Bakugo scolded, coming over as Eri stepped back. He reached his hand down, so I took it, and he pulled me to my feet. Everyone gave him a few looks, because he'd usually never scold me like that, but he didn't seem to notice. "Your not hurt, right?" He asked, inspecting my face. "Kacchan, I'm ok! I'm ok!" I said before dissolving into giggles as he squeezed my face. "Not that this isn't cute, but who's cooking?" Kaminari cut in, with Shinso's hand on his arm. "Yeah, I'm hungry." Mineta complained, crossing his arms. "Guys, guys! I know who's gonna cook." They looked at me, waiting for an answer. "My dear husband." "Tch. Maybe only for you." He tapped my nose. I blinked. "No. Our friends came here expecting food. You won't get out of this one." He pouted. "Fine. I guess I'd better start it now." He pecked my forehead, and went into the kitchen, gathering his supplies. I smiled, and crouched to Eri's level, then held my hands out. She smiled so bright, even her eyes shone, and she took my hands. I stood, picking her up, and placing her on my shoulders. "Who's this little angel?" My mom asked, smiling at Eri. "I'm Eri! Deku and Lemillion helped me!" My mother looked at me, joy and pride in her eyes, as she said, "My boy and his friend helped you?" "We did. Overhaul had been abusing her quirk, so we saved her from him, and now we're trying to give her the best childhood she could possibly have." My mother nodded, then ruffled my hair. I closed one of my eyes, and laughed, thankful for today.
