First Battle

Rune and his group were two days out from the capital of Oto, and they now found themselves in a sticky situation. They had come across a scouting party, and during the ensuing battle, one of the enemies had escaped, likely heading back to one of their camps to warn their comrades. As this was supposed to be a covert mission, it was quickly decided that the only option was to follow them and eliminate everyone in the camp to prevent the spread of information. It was crucial that Rune's group not be discovered until they made it into the heart of the Wolves Den.

The three of them only made up a tenth of the enemy's numbers, yet the battle was stuck at a stalemate. When she saw a group of six split off and attempt to flee, Luna took it upon herself to chase after any stragglers while Rune and Carin took on the bulk of their forces.

"Luna, come back. Don't go too far!" Rune called out.

"No, I can do this!"
