After returning to their secret base, Lux instructed Abel to accompany Lina to another location, just in case Renya would attempt something like asking her to harm herself or suddenly stabbing someone.
"I guess with those razor-sharp tentacles, it won't be a simple stab..."
Lux ceased dwelling on that thought and instead took Renya to another room, initiating the interrogation.
"How did you contact the Empires?"
"Did you request those individuals to provide you with the serum?"
"Why did you administer it to your little sister instead of yourself?"
As Lux posed these questions, he noticed Renya remained silent, in a daze-like state, only gazing at his face without responding.
Frowning, Lux snapped his fingers and addressed her once again, "Pay attention to me. Why are you so distracted?"
"It's just so strange. I never expected the kid I kicked out back then to be the one kicking my whole person to the ground in the present."
