Chapter 1: Let me introduce you to my life

Ugh I hate living next door to my neighbors. They are always having a party seems like and it always last until 4 in the morning. I hate it!!! I can't really complain though because lucky me my parents decided to live next to a family that is in a gang. I am not kidding! My next door neighbor is the boss of a gang and his three sons all of which is in the gang. Can my life get any worse??? I mean you think I would be used to it since I been living here since I was 12 but I am not. Oh yeah by the way my name is Lily Blakelee and my dad plus my mom are very successful doctors( surgeons) in Camden, Maine. I go to Camden Hills High School and I am a junior (aka I am almost 17 years old!!!). I have dark brown hair and brown eyes.

After only getting a few hours of sleep, I gave up and got out of my bed at 7. I put on my jogging clothes then I went for a jog. I was gone for an hour and when I got back Miles Owens (the oldest son and 25 years old) was getting out of his truck. I shook my head before walking inside my house and I ran upstairs then I took a shower before getting dressed. Even though it's a Saturday, my mom and my dad aren't home. I am use to it but it does still get lonely sometimes. I went downstairs then straight to the kitchen to fix me something to eat. I was just about to sit down in the living room when I heard the music start playing. I shook my head because that meant everyone was awake. I sat down on the couch then I turned on the TV and I had to have the sound almost all the way up just to hear. The music stopped two hours later and I heard a bunch of vehicles leave. I smiled then turned off the TV and headed upstairs to my room then I went to sleep. I slept for 5 hours before waking up then I got on my computer. Around 6 my friend Alexis called inviting me to a party and usually I wouldn't go but I wanted to get out of the house and away from my neighbors! I picked out an outfit that I hadn't wore yet then I grabbed my shoes and my purse before running downstairs, out of the house, then I locked the house before running to my car and getting into my car and driving away.

Sept. 1st, 2018 (Saturday)

Party!!

"Your outfit is amazing. Is it new?" Alexis asked when I found her outside.

"Of course." I said smiling and she smiled.

"Well, I have to borrow it sometime." She said.

"Of course." I said.

"Ugh, it's like girls like the bad boys for some stupid reason." She said looking past me.

I looked to see Sean (the youngest and he is 17 but he is a junior and he has blonde hair and brown eyes) and his friends. There were a lot of girls around them and I shook my head.

"They are playing with fire." I said and Alexis nodded her head.

"I give the relationship maybe a day before the girl runs away as fast as she can." Alexis said.

"Less than a day only a couple of hours with those losers." I said and she laughed.

Apparently she laughed too loud because Sean and them heard and they looked to see us. I just rolled my eyes and I was just about to walk away when one of the girls said my name.

The voice sounded so familiar and when I turned to look at the girl it was then I knew who she was and she smiled at me before walking towards me.

"Lily, I can't believe it's you. It's been such a long time. You have changed. You look great." Kelly (an old friend of mine from Augusta where I use to live before coming here) said before hugging me.

"Hi." I said as she smiled really big at me.

Alexis looked at me then at Kelly then back at me.

"Oh I am sorry, I am Kelly." Kelly said smiling at Alexis.

"You have bad taste in friends." Alexis said looking at Kelly then at Seth and them.

I shook my head.

"I am an old friend of Lily's." Kelly said and Alexis's eyes got big and she turned to look at me.

"Augusta." I said and Alexis nodded her head and kept looking at me.

"Bye." I said before grabbing Alexis's right hand then we walked away.

"An old friend?" Alexis asked looking at me after I let go of her hand.

" Ex friend and she isn't the same person I remember; so give me a break." I said looking at her.

"Ok." She said smiling at me.

We spent the whole party talking about anything and everything especially by how surprised we were that Kelly and her friends were still talking to Sean and them. I left the party at 10:00 and of course Sean was still there when I left and there was no cars in his driveway besides his parents' vehicles.

"Hey honey, how was the party?" My mom asked as I shut the front door behind me.

"It was great; I am going to take a shower than go to bed." I said before walking upstairs.

"Good night!" My parents yelled.

"Good night!" I yelled before walking into my bedroom.

Monday (Sept. 3rd)

I got to school at 7:25 and like usual Sean got to school 5 minutes later.

"The weekend is already over which means yet another week of school." Alexis said stopping beside my car and leaning against it as I got my stuff out of the trunk.

I laughed then smiled at her.

"One more year that is yet then we are out of here." I said smiling as I shut the trunk and she smiled really big.

"I know; just one more year." She said.

"Then it is adios Camden." I said and she smiled really big and nodded her head.

"Hopefully I will be in the same boat; I don't have the grades that you do." She said and I shook my head.

"Hey I will tutor you and you know that." I said and she smiled at me.

"I mean I need someone to go to the same college as me so we can talk bad about Camden and how much we hated it here." I said smiling and she nodded her head.

"Hate is such a strong word." Chase(Alexis's boyfriend) said showing up.

"Ok dislike." I said and he smiled at me.

"Where were you Saturday?" Alexis asked looking at Chase.

Chase looked at me for some help.

"Sorry, I was at the party." I said smiling.

"No way. Lily Blakelee went to a party." Chase said in his joking voice.

"Ha-ha very funny." I said and he just smiled at me.

"Sorry baby, I couldn't make it. I was at my brother's little league baseball game and couldn't get back in time." He said looking at Alexis and holding her right hand.

"Ok. We were talking about college before you got here." Alexis said smiling at him.

"Oh you know I am going anywhere that you go." He said.

"Yeah I have to put up with him." I said and Alexis laughed.

"Hey I know where you live." Chase said.

"Yeah you really scare me." I said laughing then he laughed.

"I see you two in class because I have to go get some stuff out of my locker." I said then I walked away.

Sean's POV

"I can't picture Kelly and Lily hanging out or being friends." Kenny (my best friend) said as he watched Lily walk away.

"Who cares?" I asked looking at him.

"You aren't curious about maybe Lily hasn't always been the sweet nice girl that we know her to be?" Kenny asked looking at me.

"She lives next door to me; there is nothing exciting about her." I said.

"Find out." Gary (another one of my friends) said.

I looked at him.

"Oh come on she will bore me to death." I said.

"We will see." Kenny said smiling just as the bell rung.

"Dude, when do you two start bossing me around?" I asked following them.

"Since we figured out that maybe the sweet nice girl we know isn't who she use to be. I want to know about her past." Gary said smiling.

After-school

I had just put my stuff in my room and I was heading downstairs to get something to eat when I heard the doorbell rung. I knew Alexis wasn't suppose to come over so I looked at the window by the door to see Sean.

"Hi." He said when I opened the door and just looked at him.

"Do you need to borrow something?" I asked.

"No; can I come in?" He asked.

"Why?" I asked.

I looked to see Gary and Kenny watching us and I shook my head.

"Whatever you and your friends have planned or going on please leave me out of it." I said then I shut the door in his face.

I watched him walk away and Gary and Kenny gave him a look that asked what happened and Sean just shook his head.

I walked to the kitchen and got me something to eat before going into the living room to watch TV. About 30 minutes later, I heard a truck honk it's horn and I looked out the window just as my brother(Paul) got out of his truck. Sean and them looked at him since they were outside but I didn't care.

"There's my sister." Paul said smiling at me as I walked out of the house.

"Hi." I said smiling at him then he hugged me.

"How's school?" He asked.

"Do you even have to ask?" I asked and he laughed.

"How's college?" I asked.

"It's great." He said before opening the back driver's side door.

"Close your eyes." He said and I gave him a crazy look.

"Entertain me." He said looking at me.

I rolled my eyes before closing them and he laughed then I heard his truck door shut. I heard him stop in front of me.

"Ok open them." He said and I opened my eyes to see he was holding a present.

"Happy early birthday." He said smiling at me.

"You are a over a month early but I will take the gift." I said taking the present from him and he laughed.

"What do you have planned for your birthday?" He asked.

"Do you have to ask?" I asked and he smiled.

"Hanging out with Chase and Alexis." He said and I nodded my head.

"Well open it." He said smiling at me.

I opened the present to see the new iPhone and I looked at him.

"You hardly ever spend any money on yourself and I know how desperately you needed a new phone so I brought you a new one." He said smiling at me.

"Thank you. I love it." I said before hugging him.

"Come inside, I fix you something to eat." I said and he smiled.

"Oh so you cook now?" He asked.

"Funny." I said and he laughed before putting his right arm around me.

"I have missed you." He said as we walked towards the house.

Paul stayed for 3 hours before leaving to go back to college. After that I did some homework and reheated what I made for Paul when my parents got home. I went to bed around 10:30 after I put my SIM card in my new phone (of course after charging it).
