Jordan never expected that Maya felt so strongly about Lucas, and he never expected himself to actually feel bad for trying to split them up. He also had no idea how bad her relationship with her mother was. After Maya left Lucas' mansion, she discovered that she had nowhere to go. She had stolen her sister's potential husband and married him without anyone knowing; how could her family forgive her? Moreover, her father had already returned to New York and she did not want to worry him.
If she had not accepted the job at Lotus and loved it so much, she would have probably jumped on the next plane back to the US.
Jordan watched as Maya stumbled aimlessly down the street. "Where are you going?" he asked worriedly. Maya did not reply; she didn't know how to reply. Where was she going? Even she didn't know the answer to this question.
