Chapter 11

I was surprised and hurt at the statement he mad that he was in his house but that's the truth and since I came in without invitation I had to leave . But there was something I had to say before leaving.

"Since I stepped foot into your house, you decided not to talk to me but the reason why I came was to talk things over between us but it seems your are not interested ", I paused for a while before continuing. "I'd be on my way the, call me if you are ready to talk", I took my purse on the table and headed towards the door to leave.

"Wait", he commanded but I pretended not to have heard him.

"I asked you to wait", he didn't sound calm this time so I stood still without moving an inch forward. I didn't even bother to look at the expression he had on so I just stood facing the door.

"Have you forgotten you are in my shirt?", he asked drawing my attention back to what I was wearing. There was no way I'd wear just a shirt which was just below my ass outside.

"Where is my dress?", I demanded still not ready to face him. I heard his footsteps drawing closer to me but never bothered thing he was just going to get me my dress.

He stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. For some seconds , I maintained my posture before speaking.

"Let go of me", I said trying to sound angry

"And why should I do that?, I have been able to control myself enough"

"Please leave me, don't you realize I'm half naked?"

"That's the more reason why I'm fed up now, can…"

"Enough Aikens ", I cut him off and tried to get released but he was too strong.

"Relax Annie, I won't hurt you because I respect you . All I want is to keep you by my side",

"I know that, but please let go of me first", I said I and he released me. He left me and went back to sit in the couch.

"I'm sorry", he said as I walked to him.

"You don't have to be, I'm equally at fault. Come here", I said opening my arms for a hug.

He got me my dress after the hug and I went in to get changed.

"I like your home", I said after coming out in my dress.

"Thanks but it seems you don't know so much about me"

"You are right, I think I'd come by another time", I said and he stood up to see me off. I said goodbye when we got to the gate before leaving. I went straight to my apartment to freshen up and release my tension. I laid in the bathtub while I reflected on what had happened earlier. I realized I was gradually letting my past go since I could feel I've in love with Aikens .

'It's been a while since I heard from mum', I thought . I couldn't reach her too since I lost my phone. ' I'd have to go and check my post box to see if I've received and letter tomorrow', I thought before spending my night happily.
