"Are you sure you can stand in front of that man?" I asked my mother when she came into our bedroom.
I heard her sigh. "I'll do it for our family."
"What about you, dad?" I asked.
He was sitting on the couch reading the morning newspaper. He also stood trial a few months ago in Flousia. He wasn't convicted, but he was on house arrest. He was able to leave the country because of mother's request to accompany her to Benjamin's trial.
Kyle and the elders had some argument about it, but in the end, they allowed him as long as the royal guards would be with him at all times.
"You know very well that I will support your mother's decision. I'm here to relax and catch up with Dr.Richards." He said.
I chuckled. He changed a lot after mother came back alive. He could now joke around and make fun of something. For that, I was thankful. Mother also looked happy and bright being with her true love.
"What about you, Jayden?" Father asked.
