My diary system in Marvel

After transmigrating into the Marvel universe, Luke had awaken the Diary Entry System. As long as whoever that holds the diary believes and trusts in what was written, then Luke would be rewarded by his system. The stronger the trust value, the better the rewards. Editor note: Hello guys! I am not the author, nor am I a translator of this fanfic. I am simply a normal guy heavily editing an MTL of the raw "People are writing diaries in Marvel, and the Avengers are all confused". I saw some others on this app who are attempting to edit the chapters, such as "Elephas" or "BlackGoku222" but I find their edits rather lackluster. And since I am interested in reading this further, I thought i'd do the rest of us a favor of putting out my edited version of the MTL. Please note that the characters will be slightly AU. If you think that my edited version is different from the original or other versions, you would be right as I included my own elements and removed some extra information in order to try to make the story as congruent as possible. Honestly guys, the MTL is so confusing. Lastly, I will TRY my best to make this story as readable as humanely possible, but no promises for a 5-star edit as my English language was only a B3. And thanks for taking the time to read this! (Gib me cookies/stones please) (Cover pic by Nariva Amynia on DevianArt. This is not an original work, I own absolutely nothing except my own deviations to the original fanfiction!)

~ With Frigga ~

Chaos Magic. One of the Ancient Primal Magics, able to bend reality itself, transcending even dimensional barriers. As for the Infinity Stones? They were not new to Frigga as during Asgard's golden era, she had learned about the existence of the stones through Odin.

This was all that Frigga had managed to learn about during her time at the Coven. She had tried to learn more about Chaos Magic, but even Agatha had no clue where to search next. Agatha had only happened upon the mention of Chaos Magic in her travels in Midgard, before coming to the Coven to learn more, but realized that none of the witches knew any more than she did.

Once again, Midgard was mentioned. The owner of the diary was from a parallel universe of Midgard, and now she learns that there are mentions of Chaos Magic in Midgard as well. Through years of experience as a sorceress, she sensed a connection between the two, which led her to her other curiosity – Luke Sullivan.

After leaving the Coven, she had discreetly made her way to see Heimdall. She had hoped that he would be able to see Luke Sullivan, and that through Heimdall, maybe she could learn a bit more about the owner and the diary.

However, once again, she was disappointed at the results. As soon as Heimdall began looking for Luke, he was shocked to learn that he was unable to. Something was blocking his vision. This was a rare, if not impossible occurrence for him and was also a cause of concern for Asgard. He had wanted to immediately report this to his king but was stopped by Frigga.

Still uncertain about the identity of Luke Sullivan and the powers he could hold, Frigga had decided to keep it a secret. She had managed to convince Heimdall not to report the matter, as she mentioned that it was a private matter regarding herself and that the safety of Asgard would depend on the secrecy of the matter.

Heimdall did not like that he was keeping a secret from his king, but he also could not deny the words of his queen. Choosing to believe in her, Heimdall had sworn secrecy, but would not hesitate to expose the truth of the matter to his king if the matter causes any form of danger to Asgard, which Frigga assured would not happen.

Frigga then spent the following days in her chambers, contemplating on her next move. During this period, she had also tried her own magical means to try and track down the owner of the diary but was met with the same disappointing results as her earlier attempts.

Moreover, Thor and Loki had already left for their next adventures, while Odin was still busy with the throne. This had led her to the current moment, as she sat by her bedside with the diary in her hands.

'With all the knowledge that I have learned from the initial entry, and despite my endeavours over the past few days, it appears that regardless of the sacred timeline, I would have to delve deeper into this diary to uncover the answers that I seek.'

With her decision made, she began reading through the diary entries. In the first entry alone, she recognized only a few of the names being mentioned, aside from her own sons. Extraterrestrial monsters were too vague and could mean any 1 of the millions of species in the vast universe. She also knew of the Mad Titan, but did not know who the Conqueror was or what the TVA stood for. However, the name that worried her most was the Cosmic Beings.

Cosmic Beings, or what she referred to as Celestials, were beings of Legends, said to have had a hand in the creation of life throughout the universe, both known and unknown. The most visual evidence of Celestials ever having existed was of Knowhere, a severed head of a dead Celestial. If it was in reference to the Cosmic Beings that she knew of, then she would need to start paying more attention to the events of the Nine Realms and further beyond.

However, apart from a few more names she recognized such as Dormammu, she did not particularly care too much about any others who was not Luke himself. Even the enemies of the other world and the subsequent battle talked about in the diary did not intrigue her as much.

In fact, aside from learning more about the owner of the diary and discovering the secrets of the diary, the only other reason that Frigga was even risking the sacred timeline was due to her instincts as a mother – she had wanted to read about the adventures of her sons.

From the very first entry, she was proud to have read that her sons had grown to be heroes of a parallel universe. Although it would be unbelievable to others if they had heard that Loki had grown to become a hero of Midgard, a mother's instinct knew best. She knew that deep down, Loki had just as great of a potential to achieve greatness as Thor.

Additionally, she found herself getting more intrigued as a mother at the mentions of Thor's daughter and of Loki having a lover. This was a piece of future knowledge that she did not mind having.

However, since then, no other mentions of her sons were made in the diary.

'Every entry within this diary pertains solely to Midgard and the daily life events of the owner. The way that this Luke Sullivan pens his thoughts suggests that he remain oblivious to the fact that others are able to view his writings.

Moreover, aside from the early and solitary mentions of my sons, there is no further reference to Asgard within these pages. Thus, I find myself questioning the reason behind my selection as a recipient of this diary.

It is improbable that the Ancient One has a hand in this, given the standing accord between the Sorcerer and Odin. Until this diary appeared before me, I was even unaware of its owner's existence.

From the diary, it is highly plausible that either the persons named Fury or Natasha, or perhaps both, are also in possession of this diary. Their connection to the owner in the parallel universe is apparent, where it seemed as though I appear to have no such bond. Why, then, was I chosen?' She pondered.

'It is then highly likely that I was not chosen specifically, but at random. Which would also imply that there is a higher power at work.' Frigga concluded.

As she caught up to the latest entry and was about to close the diary to contemplate about the owner and the diary further, she was pleasantly surprised that a ninth entry was being written.

[I just saw the news, and apparently Stane has been arrested. Well, there goes another timeline event. How many changes have been made so far? Wanda and Pietro were saved too early, Steve is already awake, Natasha is already exposed to Tony thanks to her close proximity to Pepper, and now even Stane is arrested.

This means that the fight between Stane and Tony, which cemented his identity as Iron Man, may not come to pass. . . This is a problem, because without that battle ever happening, then I will never get to see the iconic moment from Tony happening in this world too! Timeline?! Do something! I need to see "I am Iron Man"!]

'This is most troubling. The sacred timeline is already being tempered with. It is said, "When a timeline fractures, a Time Lord shall appear to mend it." Though I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this claim, I have no desire to see it proven true.' Frigga worriedly thought. Even still, this was something that she had no control over. The only thing she could do was to keep reading the entry.

[But that's not the end of the changes. If things keep going the way that it is, it's possible that the events of Ultron would not occur at all as well. I mean, since my arrival, I've already met with half of the original Avengers way earlier than I should have.

First, I met with Natasha. And then Steve appears in my café out of nowhere. And now, just earlier today I met with Tony! I'm only missing out on Bruce, Clint and Thor to complete the reunion. I have no idea what Bruce is doing right now, and Clint should be busy with SHIELD business.

As for Thor? Considering the timeline, he should be out on his latest adventure before returning and getting banished from Asgard. The way we met was even wilder. I was assigned to the team that was sent to investigate the item that fell out of the sky, which I learned later on to be Thor's hammer, an item we identified as being from the Norse Mythology.

And then not so long after, Thor, the man of the hour himself appears and easily manhandles the security detail. We could have used deadly force but considering that the guy had no weapons and did not kill any of us, we were ordered from high up to only try and contain him. I attempted to stop him too, but, come on! Have you seen the guy?! His body is built like a Greek God!

There was no way in hell I would have been able to stop him without use of lethal force. . . It was simply unfair. After getting my ass lifted and thrown like a ragdoll, we later learned that Thor was the 'alleged' owner of the hammer, but he was unable to lift it. Like, at all. In fact, none of us could lift it.]

Frigga was shocked silent. 'It can't be. . .'

It must be said that Thor is the favoured son and the heir to the throne of the current King of Asgard, Odin the Allfather.

'From what is written in this diary, it appears that in the near future, upon his return, Thor shall be banished from Asgard and sent to Midgard, deprived of his powers as the God of Thunder. Yet, even with this foreknowledge, there is nothing I can do to prevent it. The timeline on Midgard is already fractured, I must not allow the same fate to befall Asgard.'

With a heavy heart, Frigga decided not to interfere with the upcoming events. She knew that it was not her place to do so, and that she was already putting the sacred timeline at risk just by reading the diary. She would not allow herself to risk it any further than necessary.

- End of Chapter 83 -

Next time in *C84 - The Asgardians

However, her sombre mood was short-lived as Frigga raised her brow in confusion, 'How is it possible for this person to start writing so seriously and on such a despairing topic, only to reverse it and then behave so. . . Immaturely. His behaviour is definitely not suited for nobility.'

However, as soon as she ended her thoughts, she chuckled to herself, finding the irony in her statement. 'He behaves just like my Thor.'

E/d note: And here is C83! The hardest part is trying to use the depicted way that Asgardians speak in, which is akin to the Shakespearean era – Formal and archaic. I did not enjoy it xD The Grand Dinner was a different scenario though, and it was more fun writing that one than it was writing this one.
