Curiosity Kills The Fish

Sarah walked up and down the ward, she looks upset, and her tantrum woke Heemani up, Heemani eyes followed Sarah around "What going through that tiny brain of yours?" Heemani questioned her.

Sarah stopped for a moment, she looked at Heemani "Leave me alone" she continued walking up and down.

Heemani facepalmed her face "Stay somewhere, stop wandering around like a ghost, come sit down"

Sarah takes steps toward Heemani with her hands on her waist "You have been acting weird since morning now you want me to come when am acting weird, I am mad at everyone" She spit out in anger.

Heemani move backward, and she used the tissue to clean her face "You are spitting, Ewww" she laments.

Sarah knew she was teasing her, she looked pained "I hate you so much" she cried out.

Heemani winked at her "I also hate you so much, I have been in a bad mood but you just cheered me up" she smiled.

Sarah grabbed the chair, turned it around, sitting down in reverse, her arms draped over the back of the chair "My mom set me up on a date" she screamed almost crying.

Heemani gazed at her with confusion "What did you mean by your mom set you up on a date? in our city, only the wealthy ones set their children on dates" she questioned her.

Sarah realize what she just said, she covered her mouth with her hands, Heemani looked at her suspiciously, and she smiled awkwardly.

No one knows about Sarah's true identity, not even Heemani, she kept it a secret because she doesn't want to be treated differently, she wants a simple and adventurous lifestyle, not the strict lifestyle the Nobles live.

Sarah never attend any social gathering, only their close family knew about the president's child, there hasn't been a glimpse of her in the media, just groundless rumors about her, many speculate that she was a male, and no one knew whether she is a he or she. Sarah never uses her black card, she only spent what she earns.

Heemani gazed at her, she was expecting Sarah to answer her questions, instead, she smile awkwardly "Stop giving me that fake smile, it creeps me out, explain what you said I don't understand " Heemani complained.

Sarah involuntarily started to stutter, "I....I...mean.." She paused for a moment, Heemani ears were wide open she wait in anticipation of what Sarah wanted to confess.

The door opened, and Sarah and Heemani's attention was drawn to the door, who could it be?

Ezra's tall figure entered the room, he looked bright and more handsome, was it because of his newfound love? he smiled at them, and they looked at him in awe.

"You look so pretty" Sarah voiced out forgetting she had a confession to make. Ezra smiled, and he take steps toward them "Stop looking at me like that, it's so weird" he cautioned them.

Heemani scanned Ezra with her owl eyes before she speaks "You don't look like you are coming from work, this isn't the clothes you wore yesterday, where did you get this from?" She asked suspiciously.

As if he was expecting those questions from her, he seems prepared and answered her with a straight face "This morning, after the night shift, I was too tired and I was feeling sleepy, my colleagues took me to his house so that I can rest a little but I slept off, I woked up not quite long, he offered me new clothes and told me to shower because I smell bad" he explained.

Ezra wasn't wrong, he was exhausted due to the rounds of sex, he truly didn't sleep at night, indeed he was on night shift.

Sarah asked out of the blue "Hope he isn't gay?"

"G....ay!" Ezra choked on his saliva.

"Are you okay?" Heemani asked with a concerned look.

Sarah picked the bottled water on the table"Drink this" she offered. He collected the water and gulped it in one go. "Are you okay?" Sarah asked.

"How can I be okay when you said gay out of the blue," he thought.

Ezra cleared his throat "I am fine thank you" He moved closer to Heemani and hugged her "How have you been"?

Sarah looked at the two of them, she smiled " So cute" she thought. Her attention was drawn to Ezra's neck, the hickey on his neck wasn't very obvious but Sarah being an observer could see it, "Hickey! How did he get that? who did he make love with? Did he have a girlfriend that we don't know about?" Countless thoughts run through her mind.

"Sarah! Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!" Heemani called her but she look lost. Ezra tap her shoulder"Y..yes!" she gasped.

"Why are you so lost in thought, what are you thinking? Have called you more than 3times" Heemani said looking furious, she thinks she is keeping things away from her.

Sarah smiled awkwardly "I am thinking about my K-pop idols, they are wonderful" she lied. Sarah knew that the only thing she could lie with was because Heemani knows how obsessed she is with idols.

"You and your delusional mind" she complained.

Sarah smiled "I'm here now, I left delusional world for you, I hope what you need me for is something reasonable" Sarah smiled and acted like she saw nothing but deep down she will investigate.

I need you here with me, mind-body, and soul" Heemani said in a possessive manner.

Sarah rolled her eyes "I am not your boyfriend, stop sounding like that" she complained.

"I sound fine, loud and clear, enough of this, escort Ezra to the hospital cafeteria, he will be hungry," Heemani said to her.

Ezra looked at her in confusion "I am not hungry, I have eaten" he said.

"What did you eat?" Sarah asked out of curiosity.

"Scrambled egg with toast" he answered truthfully, there is nothing to hide it just breakfast.

"That colleague of yours is very nice" Heemani praised the colleague that never exist.

"Scrambled egg with toast" Sarah murmured to herself. "If there is juice with the scrambled eggs and toast, it will be a complete breakfast in bed" she speculate.

Ezra was amazed "Is she a witch, why is her speculation so right?" He thought.

Sarah noticed an amazing look on his face "Is my speculation correct, was it breakfast in bed?" She asked curiously.

"Sarah stops speculating rubbish, curiosity is always the reason why fishes ended up in the soup" she defends him blindly.

"Curiosity kills the fish" Ezra added to what Heemani explained.

Sarah looked at the siblings "So I am the fish?"

Their silence gave her the answers, Of course, she is the curious fish.
