Hesitation

-" Luckas, how are you supposed to hit someone with a punch like this? Use your shoulders —--" Before Cyl could finish speaking Byrth rushed towards Luckas and gave a punch.

Luckas ate the punch with his face, the impact was so strong that Luckas flew a few meters back, as he smashed on the ground he tried to get up, but, his right shoulder cracked and his arm gave out.

Cyl had a frown on his face as he watched Luckas and Byrth training, Luckas combat ability was seriously abysmal, the only thing that impressed him was Luckas tenacity. no matter how hard Byrth hit him Luckas kept getting up, sometimes he was so beat up that Cyl stopped the "sparring" match as he was worried about Lucka's safety.

-" You guys should stop here, Byrth take Luckas to his tent, and help him, we have a full morning tomorrow." Cyl knew that if he didn't stop this now, Luckas would soon get up again.

Byrth nodded and looked at Luckas, at first he didn't like to fight so seriously against Luckas, but, seeing Luckas determination Byrth decided he shouldn't hold back.

-" Are you good? You could have dodged that." Byrth awkwardly smiled as he approached Luckas, he never grew accustomed to beating up Luckas so much.

Lucas stared at the ground a little more and spewed blood, he took Byrth hand and nodded. -" Yeah, just a little dizzy." Luckas still looked lost from the impact. " I don't think I can accompany you tomorrow, you hurt me pretty bad now."

Byrth frowned, he didn't believe Luckas, but, decided to go along with him. " Yeah I'm sorry didn't expect you would still be so bad in fighting, even a kid could dodge that."

-" Fuck off, Cyl rants took my attention away and I didn't react on time, just wait for the next time." Byrth knew that he hit a sore spot, Luckas had zero talent in fighting.

-" Why do you focus so much on combat? Even if it's for self-defense, learning how to use a weapon and cultivating would be enough." Byrth didn't understand Luckas, from Luckas's performance in the meeting he knew that he was pretty smart. " why don't you focus on information work? what you did in the meeting was incredible."

-" Tsk, how boring is that? Can you imagine cultivating in a world so big, just to stay inside a dark room reading information? I want to explore this world, you know. And besides, I'm pretty good in information management already, I don't need to focus on that." Luckas had a big smile as he talked about exploring the world.

Byrth knew that Luckas was right, he envied some things about Luckas, he was pretty smart and was full of courage, the story of Luckas confronting a demonic beast to save a fellow soldier had already spread in the army, so this and his already rewarded deeds against the Heigong had boosted his image in the army, but, the thing that Byrth envied the most in Luckas was his hardworking

Luckas never seemed to give up, the first time Byrth felt that he should be more like Luckas was when he choose to be a QI cultivator, even with a low-grade body root, from that day onwards Byrth always felt respect for Luckas, this only intensified after seeing how Luckas worked so hard in his research.

-" You should rest for the rest of the day, so if you need something tell someone to call me over, okay?" Byrth was worried that Luckas would overextend himself.

After Byrth left his tent, Luckas closed his eyes and sighed, his progress was too slow, his cultivation wasn't progressing much, and no matter how much he trained he still couldn't put a proper fight.

He knew that Byrth cultivation gave him an edge, but, Luckas still thought if he fought someone in his realm, the result would be the same. Luckas opened the system and stared at it with a serious face, he was too hesitant to use his talents points after reaching the third level of the Qi Gathering Realm, but, now he felt like he was wasting time by not using them.

-" Should I just put all my points on the quantity branch? Fuck, it would be really good if I could use the points I gained from the Body Cultivation in the Qi Cultivation tree." Luckas was torn in hesitation.

He opened the Qi cultivation and selected the first aspect of the quantity branch, he lingered there for a minute and closed it.

-" If I can't use my other two points on the Qi Tree what would i choose from the Jing Tree?" Luckas carefully analyzed his prospects.

Luckas eyes shone as he read the aspects of the Jing Tree. They still followed the pattern of Quantity, Control, and Quality, the first branch wasn't so appealing to Luckas as the first two aspects of the branch were Body Nourishing Rate I and Muscle Refining Rate I, Luckas just wanted the extra talent points that Body Cultivation gave him.

-' Reaction Time Speed is the most useful aspect for me right now, Strengthen Control I isn't too bad either, Body Nourishing Quality I and Body Nourishing Capacity II from the Quality branch aren't that bad either, but, the Quality Branch works better in the higher levels of cultivation.' Luckas was lost in thought as he carefully read the contents of the tree. ' If I'm forced to use the other two points in this tree, the control branch would be the best.'

Luckas made his mind to choose the control branch and turned back to the Qi Cultivation Tree, as he planned to follow the Qi Cultivation Path he hesitated even more when choosing what to select.

Luckas thought that if he could use all his talent points in this tree the result would be the best, as the augments of Body Cultivation would be negligible in the future.
