Chapter 18/Karen 1.1

I talked to Fleur only once. It was before we went into the other world. I was relaxing. Siping my tea in front of a lake. Resting my butt on a fluffy armchair. I wanted to sort my stress out. Relieving my body from some pressure. And then, she came over. Fleur, she sat beside me and requested a conversation. I agreed and we started to talk.

"Young Karen, are you good with us here ?"

"What do you mean ?"

"I'm asking if you're okay being with us."

"Ahh ! Sure, yes. It is okay."

"But you did come here to rest yourself. I thought that we were putting a lot of pressure on someone who just reborned. I guess I was wrong--"

"--You weren't, Madam Vanessa. Please, stay.."

"Really earnest. Maybe I understand a bit why my daughter took a liking to you."

"Vee, right. She liked me. I wonder how she's doing right now. I mean, I know she's strong but did she cope with all of that ?"

"Ask her that when you meet her. We will arrive there soon. Anyway, tell me more about yourself."

"There's not much interesting to say. Just that I was a friend of your daughter and died at some point. And for my past, only regrets come to my mind."

"I see. Even if I have lived multiple lives, you've had much more going on. I apologize for putting you in that state."

"It is okay. Thank you for staying with me."

"...Okay. I will go now..Bye[Strange]...."
