[Vermil]

"Ugh, damn it. You have done it young lady." The ghoul speaks to me as though disappointed.

"Oh is that so? Forgive me then, I guess." I stroke my chin. Did I even do something wrong?

"Can you activate that Black Coffin again?"

"I can only activate it one time per day."

The ghoul harumphs in discontent. "Whatever, let's settle this after we take down that thing. We won't last long if we let it roam free."

Looks like I caused the ghoul some inconvenience. But wait, why am I apologizing? Isn't it an enemy?

I then gasp when I heard a strange noise from above. Looking at the dragon, it is gathering energy between its jaws. It is massive and if fired might annihilate this area.

The ghoul leaps away from the dungeon halls and ventures outside. It is the first time for me to see the world outside the dungeon.

It seems this dungeon is surrounded by a rocky cavern.

Going back to the ghoul, it then advances towards the dragon by jumping from wall to wall. I might be lying if I say that I'm not amused. The ghoul has some skills. I wonder what that thing is.

The ghoul walks sideways on the wall. It then readies its long sword. Its sword is imbued in dark and light energy.

The dragon notices the ghoul, it then aims its maw towards it and fires a heavy stream of dark bursts. The ghoul does a double jump to evade it, barely.

The ghoul is flying in the air and raises his blade over his head. He then swings it down as he meets the dragon, though the dragon blocks it with its long talons.

"Tsk!"

The dragon then spins and strikes the ghoul with its whip-like tail. The ghoul is blown away and slams upon the wall.

Looks like fighting that thing will be tough.

But it seems the holy sword of that ghoul is very effective against dark affinity. Earlier, he manages to break my dark affinity daggers without breaking a sweat. Yet the dragon easily blocks it.

I guess, I finally understand how strong this creature is.

The dragon shrieks loudly, pushing the air outward.

I even slide backward from the immense air pressure. I gasp.

The dragon again charges the dark energy between its jaws. I'm surprised that I can't even move. How will I face my brother if I can't beat it here?

The dragon launches its attack. It shatters the air as the burst of dark energy is approaching me.

In a split second, a figure appears in front of me. [Skill Combiner]!

[Fire blast]+[Earth Smash] = [Meteor doom]!

My brother is here! I can't believe it!

I just got into the nick of time. I'm glad Vermil is still alive. I don't know what to do if she were to die here. Regardless, if I can't dispel this dragon attack, it will be over for the two of us.

I then launch my [Meteor Doom]! This skill is my strongest DPS. I hope this can do it!

The meteor doom and the dark burst slam against each other. It forms a spherical energy blast that expands outward, turning into a giant explosion.

Sensing this, I grab Vermil and use earth manipulation skills. [Earth Wall]! A solid wall forms in front of us. Shielding us from the rock debris and air pressure.

"Kyah!" I hold her close to make sure she won't panic. But the way we are right now....

Haven't I gone too far being in contact with a girl this too long? She may be a clone but it seems she has emotions and free will. Any girl will be disgusted by someone like me.

After the explosion, I then let her go. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable."

"Brother, why are you saying sorry? In fact, I should be the one who should apologize. I disappointed you."

I see, that's how she feels, huh? I then pat her head, with a warm smile. "Don't worry, you did fine."

"Hey, why are you flirting in the middle of the battle? Lend a hand will ya?!" The ghoul shouts from the distance while exchanging blows with the dragons.

He is speaking to me as if we know for a long time. Geez.

He seems to be having a hard time. It's also true, that there are no indicators of some sort to show me the details for the ghoul.

It's the first time for me to see a ghoul being sentient. This guy is a mystery.

Is it some unique monster or something? I guess he is as powerful as Vermil says.

"Vermil, you can hide for now. We'll handle this."

"But-" She is about to catch up to me.

I then leap away and head towards the dragon.

Sorry, Vermil it seems I need to defeat this monster as quickly as possible because I sense something off about this creature.

[Undead Valkeryun (Mythical) (General Monster)

Mythical, huh? It's the first time I encounter such a creature. Looking at it close, its skin is already peeling off showing some of its bones, its muscles have decayed and its wings are tattered as well.

It's undead, I guess. Most, if not all of the creatures in these dungeons are.

Seeing the ghoul, he might not last long. He is being whipped by its long and fierce tail and he lands upon the ground, leaving a crater. He didn't even do much damage to the dragon despite his struggles.

The ghoul gets blown and lands beside me. He then stands up and gets ready as he picks up his sword.

Wow, this guy is pretty tough.

For now, the dragon is charging up.

The ghoul beside me stares at me. "Who are you, humans?" His tone is rather tame now.

I guess it's the first time for me to talk to someone else besides my clones. So I'm still nervous. "Uh, my name is Verni so nice to meet you!"

"If only your duplicates and that girl didn't attack me, this wouldn't have happened. I have no reason to fight with those I can properly talk."

He doesn't seem like a bad guy. If we met in a different situation we could have avoided a fight.

"I see. Then I apologize for that."

I gave commands to my clones to destroy anything that is neither me, Vermil nor a human after all. I didn't take into account that there are sentient monsters.

So I'm supposed to work together with this ghoul, huh? I guess I'll take every help I can get.

"Stay alert!" Yells the ghoul. The dragon is now aiming its mouth open us. It then shoots out a beam of dark energy.

We then leap away to dodge it. It is quite fast that a small delay would nearly kill us.

I have sent a message to all of my clones to gather here. They sure are taking their time.

Regardless, I have to do the offensive. I have to at least prove that I'm good at fighting. I then leap away to the dragon and propel myself using [silk shooter] skill.

[Character Division] x 400.

400 of myself appears in mid-air. These are the clones I can summon for now since my Cool Down Loan is nearly full.

The ghoul is confused seeing me. "So that's his ability, huh?"

While in mid-air, I activate another skill. [Quick Slash].

I can turn my fingers into a sharp blade temporarily. This skill also boosts my agility twice while the skill is in effect. My clones dive into the dragon and begin slashing its body bit by bit.

I can see, its HP going down. Though it's negligible. This guy's defense is off the charts!

The dragon shrieks as it moves around trying to catch us. Yet we are too fast that it can't even touch us even one of my clones.

The dragon roars, causing some confusion to my clones.

[Confusion Resisted!]

I resisted it yet my clones are a different story. Their mind stat is not high enough like mine. They lost their rhythm and slow down a bit. The dragon blasts us off with its dark beam attack to extinguish 2/3 of my clones.

Eh?! Seriously?

The clones attack again yet the dragon is acting weird. It readies itself and a dark sphere emerges around its body, annihilating my clones who are close till around 20 are left.

Looks like I don't have many clones left. Damn, this guy is tough.

Fortunately, it looks like my clones throughout the dungeon have arrived just in time. There are thousands of them now.

They then get ready in position and leap towards the dragon.

While we surround the dragon, in unison we then cast our skill.

All of my clones simultaneously activate the skill, [Poison Shot]. The dragon bathes upon the poison. I notice its HP is declining bit by bit.

Hah?! How about that! If I continue this strategy, it might defeat this creature.

[Enemy, Acquires Poison Immunity!]

This is bad! Let's switch strategy.

We are just gonna bombard this thing with [Combustible Fist].

All of my clones activate this skill. Upon landing upon the dragon, we hit it as strong as we can.

From our attack, a large blast devours the dragon, rumbling the entire caverns. It is even stronger than the energy blast attack the dragon can make.

No doubt, this will take care of it. It is an attack of few thousand of clones after all.

Geh, it's still alive but at least we chipped its life by half.

Valkeryun is sucking the dark energy in the air into itself.

So this is what a Mythical Beast is capable of, huh?
