The Start of a War: Neon and Obsidian

As the message of war came from the President of Obsidian herself, all the regular citizens began to panic and freak out in response.

Most citizens began to evacuate to one of the cities owned by one of the Great Five Casters. They were heading to a safe haven named the Silver Fortress, it was a large building made of an impenetrable metal with magic reinforcing it. The Safe Haven was owned by the Queen Family. It was located in Sharpton City and people of all ages, men, women and their children were taking Portal Stations left and right to get there on time.

In less than two days, the whole South East where Arina and the others schooled had been completely desserted with the exception of My Caster Academia.

Meanwhile, all Casters in the main MCA along with the others were taken back to the Academy and were informed they would be participating in the impending War including the First Years.

"What!!!!" The students especially the First Years were shocked by this news. Currently, they were all gathered outside their school in the field. The Forcefield was still there so it was safe.

They all began to panic but Ririka, the one who had informed them and was speaking on stage stopped them by continuing to talk.

"You will be assigned into one of the Great Five Caster Families except the Yuzuro, mine. You will be placed in teams of five randomly selected within your own class."

"You will go through proper training to prepare yourselves for the War against the Seraphs. We advised you not to be discouraged, we will make sure we suffer minimal casualties."

Ririka after speaking, finally got down from the stage.

"Ahhh." Ririka said, she was feeling tired not physically but mentally because of all the preparations they had to make and especially her as she was the Leader of her Family.

'Whoever this Caster spy is, they sure have managed to stir up trouble." Ririka thought as she walked away from the Academy with members of the Yuzuro Family following her.

Later, all of the Class D students were seated as they watched Kento who was turning the paper ballot to choose the teams.

"I hope we stick together."

"I don't wanna be away from them."

"Please, stay with them."

Arina, Serena and Luz thought in the same manner towards each other, they had become good friends and didn't want to be apart.

Meanwhile, Zane was nervous for a completely different reason from the others.

"What if I'm seperated from my pink-haired goddess." Zane referred to Vanessa who he still had a huge crush on. He would always speak nonsense and constantly blush, although he was glad she didn't notice or atleast that's what he hoped for.

"The First Team has been chosen. Please listen patiently as I call the names." Kento began.

"Kasami Horiyama, Akina Toriyama, Raine Harukaze, Staria Gerall and Zuro Zeitro." Kento called out the first names of the first team of five.

"What! Those losers." Staria said, a bit angry.

"Takes one to know one." Akina snapped back and the two prepared to fight but Kento talked further, causing them to calm down as they wanted to listen.

"You five have been assigned to the Spair Family." He finished.

"The Second Team: Serena Akanabe, Luz Umibe, Ayato Ayura, Kuro Imonite and Zane Yomutzuki."

"No!!" Zane shouted out loud as he was not on the same team as Vanessa, while Ayato and Kuro were sad to not be on Yuri's team.

"That means..." Arina and Yuri knew they were on the same team.
