Side Story: DHSC Battles Pt 2

They all looked at the Silver hound in front of them. Ayato was the first to act, he drawed out his sword and was prepared to strike but he couldn't move.

"You can't move silly, you have to role the digital dice." A dice appeared as Luz talked in front of him.

He picked it up and rolled it, it landed on one.

[Your attack fails and you are hit by the tail of the Silver Hound]

As the tab in front of him said so, the same result happened and he was flung back by the steel tail.

Yuri flipped the dice and it landed on twenty eight and the dice had thirty eight sides so it was pretty high.

"Demon Ability: Devil's Disc." A disc made of darkness and shadows appeared in Yuri's hand and he threw it at the beast, hitting it and reducing it's health.

[Hp: 70/100]

From the mechanical beast's back, two objects like the end of a gun appeared, they were cannons. They began to blast out energy attacks at them and although they dodged, they were eventually hit.

The team's health had gone done by a lot except Arina due to the special armor she chose.

She went next and rolled the dice and it landed on 20.

"Perfect. What's with the movements, don't be full of haste, frozen style, stay in place." Arina had chosen the Seraph race and she casted out a spell. Upon contact, it froze the beast in place.

[You have 30 seconds to fire at the Silver Hound]

Serena rolled the dice and it landed on 20 as well.

"Mech Casting: Arm Cannon."

Serena now held a large cannon on her shoulder and she blasted out a large blast of energy and hit the Silver Hound.

[Hp: 41/100]

"My turn." Ayato rolled the dice and it landed on a perfect 40 instead of the one he had gotten before.

"Woo!!!! Fire Casting: Flame Sphere." Ayato shot out a large ball of black magic and it surrounded the beast.

"Boom." Ayato snapped his fingers and the Black Ball exploded.

[Congratulations, you defeated the Silver Hound]

[Reward + Intangibility Box]

[ As the name implies, this Box as long as it remains on you allows one to become intangible on command.]

Ayato picked up the red box floating in the air and added it to his Inventory.

They climbed down the building and continued on their quest, their destination being the Demon Region.

After about an hour of travelling, they eventually arrive at the border.

"Time for another challenge." Luz smiled.

Suddenly, out from the desert ground, hundreds of what could only be described as mummies began to appear from it.

Then at the very back was a more muscular one with green eyes.

[Defeat the Mummies in less than 20 minutes. Reward: ???]

They all got prepared to fight. They each took their turns at the same time. Serena fired out her sharp boomerangs and defeated about five of them because their hp was only about ten.

Ayato and Yuri headed out, Ayato would use his Sword to slice them when they threw out their bandages while Yuri would block any attack with his trusty shield.

Arina would just attack with spells.

Eventually, after 17 minutes, they realized they had barely made a dent as more mummies would appear from the ground whenever they defeated one.

With only three minutes on the clock, Yuri came up with a plan.

"Arina, I need you to listen to me." Yuri whispered in her ear.

They all went on attack again but it was the same thing again and the Mummy Lord was confused.

"Haa." Two boomerangs and a sword went through it's chest.

It looked in front of itself to see that Arina and the others had stopped him. Then the other ones in the battlefield had disappeared, they were illusions Arina had made with a spell and Yuri had strengthened with his Demon magic.

[Mission completed.]

[Reward: Instant Teleportation.]

Immediately, they all disappeared.

They reappeared but in a completely different location. For one, the ground was made out of molten rock and they were lava pools spewing lava all over the place.

"You guys made it. Now for the final boss, me." Luz appeared and then her skin became as dark as coal, her eyes a glowing red color and a staff appeared in her hand.

[Defeat the Final Boss.]

[Hp: 1000/1000]

"That's ten times more than the last time." Serena complained.

[Bonus: All Moves can be used at any time]

Luz flew towards Yuri and Arina and then pointed out her staff.

"Ha." A ball of lava was conjured up and blasted out towards them.

Yuri took out his shield but Arina had a feeling it wouldn't be enough.

"It's not enough. Size it up." Yuri's shield became massive and blocked the attack but it left a hole in it. Him and Arina quickly fell back.

"Well this is useless." Yuri threw it away.

Ayato threw out fire blasts from afar and Serena also threw her boomerangs. Luz simply tapped her staff on the ground and a shield of lava appeared, blocking all attacks.

"I'm just going to go all out!!!" Luz began to be encased in flowing lava around her body, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

She pointed her staff and a large blast of lava around thirty meters wide was blasted out. This took a lot of hp from her, only leaving one point left.

She looke back to see that they were no longer there but then she was punched lightly in the chest, which was enough to take out her last point.

[Congratulations, you defeated the final boss and beat the game.]

They reappeared back on the field.

"You guys won? But how?" Luz asked, a bit confused.

"The Intangibility Box." They replied and smiled a bit.

"So did you guys enjoy it?"

"Of course we did?" Serena and Ayato replied with full honesty.

"Umm, well maybe just a little bit." Arina and Yuri said under their breath.
