When the ships crashed, the leader of the Yuzuro Family, Ririka stayed conscious through it.
'It's exactly what we've been suspecting. Drachs don't plan attacks, they can barely think. It must be the Demons.' She moved skilfully into the nearest forest, a trail of vines constantly coming in and out of the ground followed her. She had long since put on her armor with the help of an advanced device that allowed her to wear it instantaneously. In a mere 30 minutes, she arrived at a more cleared out area than where she was before.
"All the Demons, they've gotten good at masking their presence.' Ririka had been following the presence of Demons which she could sense but it seemed like they had tricked her because there were no Demons around.
Moving forward slowly, she looked around the area she was in and even used her Casting trait to feel the nature around her for any movement, friend or enemy.
"Lush Casting: Jungle Vines!" Ririka jumped from the position she was in as vines began to swarm around her arm. Slowly, the ground below the position she had been standing on began to open up and a character speedily jumped out at her. The vines around the Leader's arm came out like violent anacondas and strapped around the character which she could now got a good look at.
"Another Akuma!" Ririka said with gritted teeth as she tried her best to strangle the mutated Demon and pierce through its skin with the thorns. Unfortunately for her, the new Akuma was much more powerful than the vines restraining it and it broke free, tearing through the vines.
The Akuma in front of her was known only as Akuma Green because of the single green heart shaped object which was the Akuma Gem. Ririka had no idea how exactly she knew this but Akuma Green was a female unlike her other predecessors. Apart from that, she had the same physical features as the others but a different power.
Soon after Green broke out of the vines, multiple other ones spewed out of the ground with her as the target. The Akuma simply placed her hand on the ground and she disappeared. No, more accurately being that she was pulled into the ground much faster than how she came out.
She then appeared behind the Leader with her hands being made out of large, sharp thorns. Ririka luckily turned around on time and formed hardened flora around her arms to block the attack but the sharp thorns were able to bypass it and striked across her forearms.
"Shit!" A carnivorous mega sized plant covered her body, sinking into the ground and shortly after, she appeared and created wooden hammers from her hand and slammed one of them at the Akuma's side but she quickly sliced it. Ririka then manipulated the split up parts of the wood that had been destroyed and made them hit the Akuma's side anyway, pushing Green back.
Green gained back her footing but was met with another hammer hit to her head, breaking off one of her horns before her left leg had been slashed through as well by thorns that came from the ground.
"Uh-uh, not this time!" Ririka's hand went back to normal then she formed humongous vines out of the ground that wrapped themselves tight around Green. If one saw her now, she looked like a bug or prey having been trapped by a large spider but the webs were replaced with plants. The Leader could be seen sticking her hand out in a tightened fist and as she did, the vines began to tighten as well. The veins on Akuma Green's skin could be seen constricting to the point that they looked like they wanted to explode but then, a small pinkish drop came down from her leg and sinked into the ground. The Lush Caster was too busy trying to strangle to even notice that as well as the fact that her opponent's limbs were beginning to regenerate.
"This is the end for you!" Ririka was on the brink of making her final, hardest squeeze with her fists but that was when, the unexpected happened. The plants attempting to strangle her seemed to work in her favor. "What?!" The vines seperated themselves apart, even creating some sort of short isle for Green to walk on. She was dumbfounded.
The Akuma spoke for the first time, "What's wrong? Feeling a little shaken." Akuma Green and Ririka were almost perfectly matched in terms of power so all it took was a little shake in concentration for the other to take control of the others' creation. Green was right, she was beginning to feel light-headed and that broke her concentration. Even now, it was getting worse for her.
"I can still use my armor at least." Ririka's gauntlets glowed blue and the clouds began to go dark before a strike of lighting was released down to the Earth. Akuma Green dodged the attack by sinking herself into the ground. Ririka released more and more lightning bolts from the sky in an attempt to kill her opponent but it wasn't working. Her opponent just kept sinking into the ground.
"That's enough of that." Green created vines that shrunk down to the molecular level. They got into both her gauntlets and tore them apart from the inside out. She was incredibly powerful.
"Zero gravity!" Ririka's breastplate glowed up, releasing a surge of magic and then everything within a 1000 metre radius began to float in the air as the natural force of gravity had been dismantled for them, including the living things. Even two statues of majestic Drachs that had been buried due to forces of nature had been uplifted.
"No..." Green had stuck her feet hard to the ground with her powers, preventing the armor's magic aspect from affecting her. Now, the whole area looked like something from a myriad of dreams cooked up by people with real individuality. By now, Ririka was taking heavy breaths and sweat poured down from her face.
"I get it now. She created a venom out of a special plant and secreted into my body somewhere around the time I was strangling her." Unfortunately, that realization did nothing to help her situation in the slightest. Her fate was looking extremely grim.
Akuma Green raised her hands in the air and thorns formed around it, creating incredibly sharp and long nails. She scraped the edge of a floating rock and it was slashed into pieces, giving off an intimidating aura. Ririka was more than frightened by this and began to think about her past choices but regretted none of them, the only thing she did regret was that she hadn't met the right person for her and would never get the opportunity.
'I hope that my Family will be put in good care.' Ririka awaited her fate as Green walked closer to her.
That was until, she heard two voices.
"Leave our headmistress alone." Ririka could barely turn her head but when she did, she saw two students. One of them in particular had orange hair and she looked like she was concentrating on something until both her hands were covered in strange white energy.
"I can do this." Arina got ready to face the enemy in front of her who outmatched her in every category. But she had hope that she could do something about it.
"What are you doing?" Akuma Green laughed in amusement. "You think a little maggot like you can stop me?"
"You two should get out of here!!! This is my fault!!! I should be the one to face the consequ-" Staria bent her knees as she fed a health potion into the Leader's mouth, interrupting her warning.
"Yeah, well we're here anyway."
