Class D VS Kento

It was another day and all 15 Second-year students of Class were all outside on the field.

As usual, Kento was their teacher and they were having a more practical exam. Except this time, things would be different.

"Alright, class! Today you all will be going up against me. " Kento told them with an energetic smile as he faced them.

All of them were pumped up and excited in their own way.

"I'm gonna take him down before you have a chance, Staria!" Akina told the blondie standing next to her.

"In your dreams, red-head." Staria replied.

"This is going to be awesome. Going up against Kento-sama! I'm just pumped up from thinking about it." Zane said.

"I get what you mean. Yeah!" Luz replied to the Checkpoint Caster.

"This will be a great opportunity to test our strengths individually and as a team. Is this by any chance a team work exercise?" Serena asked Kento inquisitively.

"Well I guess that's part of it." He replied while rubbing the back of his neck.

'I'm not gonna lose to him/her.' Arina and Yuri thought.

"One important thing to note. You can only use your Pure Magic and Basic Spells to attack me."

"What?" Their teacher's statement totally knocked the wind out of them.

"Don't worry, I won't be using Spells either, just simple attacks. And you only have to get one hit on me to pass." Kento told them.

"Just one attack. I can tell this won't be easy if he's so confident." Zuro thought out loud which shocked most of the class since they barely heard him speak.

"Does anyone have any questions?" Kento looked around but saw no one's hands up. "Nobody? Okay, let's begin." Kento pulled out a ring from his pocket that nobody saw and suddenly he disappeared.

"What the.. Where did he go?" The Class was shocked at his sudden disappearance.

Without warning, Kuro was pushed but turned around and saw only Ayato.

"What was that for?" The Snow Caster asked his friend.

"What? I didn't do anything." Ayato replied.

Yuri thought something strange was going on when suddenly, Zane was hit by an invisible force in his gut.

"Ah! Where did that attack come from?!" Zane looked around but nobody was there.

"He's invisible!" Yuri realized and he wasn't the only one that did, Kasami and Serena also picked up on this. The rest of the Class looked at the three of them, not totally believing what they said.

Suddenly, Arina felt a gust of wind pass behind her and so she quickly moved out of the way and then a force of wind had been released that everyone tried to dodge but most of them were hit. Only Yuri had raised up his barrier in time which was powerful enough for the air force to not do any damage.

"Everyone, be on alert!" Arina and Yuri told their classmates simultaneously and they nodded.

All of them brought up their Pure Magic Barriers, although not everyone had reached the stage Yuri was at. Ayato had managed to extend his barrier's range beyond his skin and the same could be said for Arina who had learned to master hers better. The others barrier still only surrounded their body and their reach wasn't any further.

'This isn't good. Not all of us can keep up our barriers for so long and when it wavers for a second, that's when he'll attack.' Arina thought.

"If I were you guys, I'd try sensing for my presence." They heard a familiar voice that sounded like an echo, it was Kento's.

"There!" Ayato released a fireball towards the source of the voice and he wasn't the only one, Sila too released a blast wave but their attacks ended up hitting nothing as Kento quickly avoided them.

'What did he mean by 'sensing his presence'?' Arina thought as she stood next to Yuri who had moved during his thinking.

"Okay, I can tell this is going to be difficult for you guys so I'll help you out a bit." Kento's voice echoed once again and this time, Zane released a large green ring-shaped object that was supposed to freeze Kento in place for a few seconds but Kento had avoided it once again and was in a different location.

"You're allowed to use your Spells!" His voice emanated from behind Luz who turned around and released her Rainbow Arc but Kento had dodged yet again and hit Luz in the stomach, causing her to drop to her knees.

Suddenly, Kento appeared again. This time, he seemed to be wearing some sort of black chestplate with a golden crystal at the centre.

"Metal Gauntlets!" Kento's wrists and part of his arms were covered with a pair of gauntlets!

"But so can I!" Kento smiled as Akina ran towards him with a blue ball of magic in her arm. When she got close enough, she threw the attack towards him but a Pure Magic Barrier appeared and stopped it.

"My turn!" From the air, Staria jumped down and released her Fake Slice when Kento's barrier came down but Kento dodged in time and became invisible once again.

Staria had been held in the air by Zuro who had partially transformed his body, giving himself wings and was several feet in the air.

Suddenly, he felt a weight on his body. Kento became visible and kicked his student down.

"I got you." Arina jumped into the air and her Light Board appeared for her to jump on. She then glided up in the air and caught Zuro who was surprisingly light and dropped him on her Light Board which she extended to carry more than one person.

"Thanks." Zuro told her with his deep voice and she nodded.

Meanwhile, from the ground, as soon as Kento had appeared, one person quickly casted a Spell.

"Shadow Casting: Black Gloves!" Yuri's hands were wrapped in shadows which released tentacles numbering ten towards their teacher.

"Drach Casting: New Creation!" A Drach resembling a shapeless slime appeared in front of Zake.

The Slime went out in the direction of Yuri's attacks and once it touched the tentacles, they became invisible to the eye.

Yuri looked towards Zake who just smiled.

After Kento had pushed Zuro to the ground, the tentacles were only an inch away from it before they would hit him. But unfortunately, the tentacles would never hit him because Kento had noticed them even though they were invisible.

'Yuri and Zake are able to create Combination Spells already and I haven't taught them yet. Amazing!' Kento dodged the attack which left Yuri and Zake speechless. Yuri quickly cancelled his Spell immediately after as Kento had become invisible once again.

But to the others, it looked like Kento had dodged nothing.

"How did he know what was coming?!" Zake and Yuri said outloud.

"What do you guys mean?!" Arina asked after hearing them as she glided down to the ground and stood by Yuri.

"I shot out my Black Gloves that Zake had made invisible but he still saw them and avoided it." Yuri explained to her. Suddenly, Raine had also been hit in the gut and fell to the ground.

"But that wouldn't be possible! He didn't seem to have his special shades on so there's no way he could've seen you two." Serena added as she and Luz walked towards them, Luz was still clenching her stomach as the attack had hurt quite a bit.

Suddenly, Kento had become visible and threw out a kick towards the Mech Caster. Serena formed her Pure Magic Barrier in time but it was easily broken through and hit her, causing her to be pushed back before falling onto the grass.

He became invisible again.

"Serena!" Arina rushed towards her best friend. "Are you okay?"

"Is that really a question? No, his legs are being enhanced by something. Probably a Spell." Serena said as she touched her ribs which were slightly fractured.

'He's using a special technique to sense the presence of something and since he told us to do the same, it should be something we can do too.' Arina pondered so she closed her eyes and tried to sense his presence. She had an idea that it had something to do with Pure Magic so she tried to concentrate on it but it wasn't working. She tried even harder but stopped when Kento had appeared behind Ayato.

"Burn Shield!" The Fire Caster countered by creating a shield made of hardened flames but Kento's gauntlets broke through it and punched the Caster to the ground.

"Ayato!" Before Kuro could react, Kento had disappeared yet again.

'I can't do this. I don't have a good feeling over my Pure Magic.' Arina thought but then looked towards Yuri whose barrier was up once again and looked even stronger than before.

'But he does.' Arina thought.

"Yuri!" Hearing his voice being called out, the Shadow Caster turned his head which was focused on Ayato.

" Concentrate and try to sense for Kento's presence. Use your Pure Magic!" She informed him and he nodded.

'Looks like she's finally gotten it.' Kento said as he became visible for a short second to attack Vanessa and Kasami which he had done successfully before becoming visible yet again.

Yuri sat on the ground with his legs crossed. As he did this, Kento was running towards him.

"You guys! Protect Yuri!" Luz informed all of them after hearing what Arina said. Everyone who was still up began to stand around Yuri in a circle.

"Color Sphere!"

"Drach Casting: Old Beast: Armordillo."

"Mime Casting: Fake Wall!"

"Light Casting: Sun Field!"

"Transformation Casting: Body Manipulation."

Everybody else had their hands glowing, ready to throw out an offensive Spell.

Yuri was deep in concentration, trying to control his Pure Magic inside him and find a way to sense for others.

Kento, invisible, still ran towards them, having a way to counter each one of their Spells.

In Yuri's closed eyes, he began to feel his classmates Pure Magic in their bodies as a white ball of magic.

He looked towards each of them and saw that Arina had a vast amount of it that couldn't be compared to theirs.

"How does she have so much of it?" Yuri stopped to concentrate and finally saw a ball of magic that was running towards him. Nobody else was moving so it had to be Kento.

"Got ya." Yuri opened his eyes and stood up, a spear made of shadows had formed in his hand which he had thrown towards Kento.

"Whoa!" Kento had to become visible for his chestplate to work and his spear hit the Chestplate, damaging it slightly.

"Great work. The Training session is over. Good job, all of you." He said as he began to distribute healing potions to all of those he had injured.
